activists say there has been a similar attack by forces loyal to president bashar al-assad. pro-government militia and security forces killed at least 78 people including women and children in the central province of hamas. the syrian observatory for human rights groups said army troops shelled the area and militiamen armed with guns and knives, carried out the attack. in turkey, secretary of state hillary clinton told a meeth of foreign ministers a transition in syria must include full powers for interim government and free elections. back here at home, opening arguments set for next monday in the child sex abuse case against jerry sandusky. yesterday the last of 12 jurors and 4 alternates chosen. several have connections to the university something the judge in the case called unavoidable in such a small community.
