big urban sombrero. >> all right. thank you. >> fairfax county police are looking for clues in a suspicious death in reston. investigators are provided a sketch of a man they believe is connected to the incident. it starred early sat morning on winter third lane in reston. police responded to a call of a fight but didn't find anything when it they arrived. an hour later someone in the same area reported a missing person. that's when police found the body lying in bushes they have not determined a cause of death or motive here. police filed charges against the man who drove his suv into a d.c. office building. 32 charles bau faces 32 felony charges including arson. he drove the vehicle into the building. investigators say hes a registered sex offender.

they're looking into why they drove his suv into the building into neighbors of a man who died in police custody are accusing officers of beating him to death. police say 38-year-old chambers became combative with him friday in southwest. four officers struggled with chambers before getting him into handcuffs. he fell unconscious and later died in the hospital. one neighbor says police did not act quickly enough. >> when they brought him out, his hands were behind his back in handcuffs. they should have been performing cpr on him. it was an outrage. it was not right. >> d.c. police say the allegations of the beating are not accurate. the four officers have been put on administrative leave, as the case is under investigation. we are still waiting to learn the identities of two people who died in a crash on the wilson bridge. the crash happened yesterday morning on the bridge's local northbound lanes. police say a car was speeding and rear ended another car.

the driver of the first car lost control and smashed into the back of the tractor-trailer. that car caught fire, killing two, injuring another. the driver of the tractor-trailer was taken to the hospital while the driver of the other car was not injured in the crash. northbound lanes of the bridge were closed for seven hours yesterday morning. a traffic alert for drivers now. starting tomorrow morning there will be some major overnight construction on the outer loop of the beltway. crews will shut down 3 of the 4 beltway lanes from georgetown pike to the oak street overpass every night. after midnight drivers are could see full closures for up to a half hour. it's part of the belt weigh express lanes project. all lanes reopen by 5:00 a.m. each morning. today the temperature will rise into the 90s, and that's perfect summer weather for a swim. many people will take part in the great chesapeake bay swim later this morning near sandy

point. 12-year-old jimmy thomas from california the youngest swimmer in the 4.4 mile charity event. it raises money for the maryland march of dimes and some other nonprofits. it has been a weekend scorcher but that did not stop visitors and loelgs frlocals fr the nation's capitol. they found ways to stay cool. ♪ >> reporter: the girl scouts celebrating 100 years in what felt like 100-degree heat on the national mall. water sprayed down from a ladder truck. provided a cool, refreshing break from the sweltering heat for the girl scouts' rock the mall event. >> i feel like a dog right now. >> reporter: d.c. fire and ems reports 63 people were treated on the mall for heat-related

evangelist creflo dollar in an atlanta suburb. he preaches at a megachurch. his 15-year-old daughter says he choked and slapped her about an argument going to a part. his older daughter wrote a statement contradicting her little sister. at time she was with their parents. once separated she wrote another statement that supported her sister's claims. dollar charged with misdemeanor, simple battery, cruelty to children. firefighters evacuated dozens of homes. the fire has destroyed around 8,000 acres. crews are having trouble containing the blaze because winds are near 20 miles per hour. ten buildings destroyed. fire officials are trying to figure out how this fire started. heavy rain causing flash flood as long part of the central gulf coast, rising waters surrounded houses and trapping people inside in mobile county, alabama. crews rescued some people from

florida, check out this factoid for you. it's just a fact, not a factoid. 13 inches of rain in pensacola, florida, yesterday alone by comparison, we've only had about 12 inches of rain here at reagan national airport since january 1st. they had an inch more rain yesterday than we've had all year. that is a big rain event. the second heaviest rainfall event in pensacola history. for us, high pressure's in charge. no chance for rain around here today. just hot and muggy weather. starting to inch its way back into the area. humidity coming back for tomorrow. that brings rain chances in late monday. more likely to tuesday, wednesday. headed out to the beach, perfect beach weather today. surf temperature up to 70. air temperature on the sand today, spf should be 45 or higher. sunny and hot. not humid today but plenty warm enough, up in the low 90s today.

more than 500 guns are off the street in prince georges county. offering gift cards in exchange for the guns. this unique plan took place at the first baptist church of highland park in landover. some people got gift cards worth up to $100. it started as an idea from the county government and the naacp. >> they wanted to do something to help get rid of weapons off the streets of prince georges county and make it safe. so they came up with this and brought it to the police department. of course anything to get rid of guns we're all for. >> police say the exchange program was a huge success. they gave people gift cards for guns that didn't work. a virginia community is using the power of the sun to save lives and cut energy costs. the richmond ambulance authority installed solar technology on several ambulances.
