was arrested and charged with child pornography. this happened at poplar tree elementary. that's where we find chris gordon live with details. chris? >> fairfax county police made the arrest here at the school yesterday afternoon after searching and seizing evidence from the teacher's home. >> he was arrested here, 26-year-old robert fenn is charged with ten counts of possession of child pornography. he's single, lives with his parents on emerald chase drive in herndon. armed agents searched the house and left with computers and orel materials. this follows a week-long investigation works with i.c.e. agents who received information about international distribution of child pornography.

>> i would like the parents in the area and at that school specifically to know we have no reason to believe that any of the children are involved in this in any way. and we know at this point that no school computers were involved. the principal noticed parents by e-mail. one parent came to the school after receiving the alert. >> that's why i'm here. i wanted to get my son and talk to the teacher. but i was disappointed. to be honest with you, my wife even met him like twice or saw him twice, and she felt like he's not normal. >> fairfax county public school suspended him as a teacher effective immediately. parents here are shocked. >>. >> obviously it's sickening and

heartbreaking. >> reporter: he faces ten sounds of possession. each count is a felony. if he's convicted he faces a possible maximum sentence of 1 to 5 years on each of the charges. that's the latest live in chanel actually, virginia. chris gordon, news4. tonight police are searching for the attacker. it happened mobbed asp at the canfield swimming blood on canfield drive here. police say the man told the lifeguard he was from the health department. he then assaulted the victim and ran away. police in montgomery county tonight are searching for two men who robbed an armored vehicle. outside the navy credit union in rockville. investigators say two men robbed a loomis truck. they say one hadal gun. no one was injured and no shots were fired.

a 74 why wouldman is north tonight. he was mauled while walking to work yesterday morning. darcy spencer spoke with the victim's family who credit his neighbors with saving his life. >> i just want to thank this whole community. >> reporter: linda brown is the daughter of sonny bell, the man mauled as he walked to work tuesday morning. >> he's in good spirits. >> reporter: she's crediting this man and his bulldog for saves his life. >> there was something i would like to give his man and dog an award. him and hi dog saved my dad's life. >> reporter: authorities say the king corso dogs got through an unsecured gate at the corner of

36th and bening road in northeast d.c. tuesday morning. neighbors watched as the dogs bit him repeatedly, breaking his arm. >> they need to get this lot away from here. >> the owners were given two citations for having unleashed dogs. each citation carries a $50 fine. >> i think the owner needs to own up to what happened, we need to take it from there. >> neighbors complained that guard dogs on the lot have gotten loose before. tiana jones says two pitbulls ran after her four years ago. >> i was headed off to school, and it has a way, a gate open, where the dogs actually squeezed through and came out. they weren't locked up on a leash or anything. >> reporter: belle's relatives say he's still in a lot of pain.

but they are thankful he survived this brutal attack. darcy spencer, news4. we've learned a tourist from russia was the driver killed in that fiery crash in montgomery county. she was killed on june 5th on dickerson road in dickerson. police say the 20-year-old was spending the summer in ocean city and wanted to visit our area. somehow her car ran off the road slamming into that overpass, and it burst into flames. a volunteer firefighter was able to save her passengers, but the fire too intense to reach her. more graphic testimony today in the jerry sandusky sex awould you say trial. today one accuser said the former coach threadened to keep him from his family if he ever told anyone about their sexual conduct. jurors also heard from sandusky himself through an exclusive interview that aired on "30 rock." brian moore joins us live from

big changes are coming for a lot of young athletes in our area, and across of country form youth football organization pop warner, the biggest in the world, is out with some new guidelines, and they're designed to protect players from concussions. news4's jim rosinfield is here with more. pop warner is the first organization of its kind to limit cat on the practice field. >> dare roughen grew up playing on the gridiron, now he coaches players on the berry farm beavers? the northeast. like thousands of coaches across the league, he'll be opening his season with news rules about how

much player contact will be allow. >> i think this will help eliminate the concussions for the kids that's playing, because sometimes you may not know if the kid has a concussion or not. most pop warner kids practice nine hours a week, now only one third of that time can be spent in contact with another player. head to head hits will not be allowed and tackling must be initiated within a three-footprint zone. in neurologist treats patients with concussions and brain injuries at the rehabilitation hospital in northwest d.c., he says it's especially important to prevent concussions in younger athletes whose brains are still developing. children, of course, are in school. the last thing they need is to be taken out of school. >> reporter: parents say the new attitude gives them peace of mind. >> it's a sense of comfort,

knowing that he's not going to get hit all the time. >> reporter: pop warner's executive director says this initial tiensures safety comes first. >> i think with concussions, so much of it was just a lack of awareness. oh, you got your bell rung, you got dinged, get back in the game. >> reporter: pop warner is known for developing players who later make it all the way to the nfl. nearly three quarters of the pros got their start in pop warner programs. this certainly creates awareness. jim, thank you. here's a guy we all remember pretty well. wore a helmet, too. little darth vader is getting ready for open heart surgery. 7-year-old max page started in this commercial back in 2011. what viewers didn't know is max was born with a rare heart condition. tomorrow he'll get heart valve replacement surgery.

a special-ed teacher in chanel actually charged today with ten counts of child porn possession. police tell us there is no evidence he had any inappropriate contact with his students. and the prosecutor says jerry sandusky threatened to

keep a victim from their family if he told anyone. prosecutors also played an exclusive interview from nbc's "rock center." the scandal-plagued d.c. council picked phil mendelson as the chairman. he will serve under the special election is held in november. it's a cold case more than three decades old. but a big break. >> a special dna test helped authorities identify her body found more than 45 miles around in prince williams counseled. julie kerry has our story. >> reporter: it was april 3rd when cindy gasteau never came back. >> she was a gift to our family, full of laughter and life.

32 years ago he walked out of our home never to return. >> reporter: two years later skeletal remains were found. these were the clothes and jewelry found at the scene. over the years, prince william county police used forensic specialists to make model and sketches to try to identify the remains. news4 even featured the mystery in a 2006 cold case story. now some 30 years later, a special type of dna test that's only been recently used has made the connection. the remains are those of cindy gastell found 45 miles from home. now police want to find her killer. >> that hope is gone and our hearts are broken again. our hope now lies with you, our friends, our neighbors and the community. >> reporter: in particular police want help identifying this man. they say he was one cindy ace boyfriend, went by mike or michael. >> the more people with talk to

rain allegations have forced an online networking community to shut down its service for teenagers. the site is called scout, allowing users to find and meet up with other people based on location. there are reports three men allegedly posed as teenagers to meet and assault underage girls. scout says it will be closed to minors now until it can design better protections. and as nbc's sabrina kuriakos reports, in many cases all it takes to make contact is a phone app. >> reporter: it's a hidden world that exists inside your child's smartphone. free apps that allow them to text or chat with friends and strangers, all for free. so many even law enforcement can't name them all. >> i found text messages on the
