tell you what a reporter says tonight about interrupting the president. >> it's the biggest baseball weekend in washington in decades. live to nationals park. a scare inside a school when two bears started roaming the hallways. we begin tonight, though, from the district where flames were shooting from a row house in northeast d.c. one man is now in a hospital, he's got serious injuries. firefighters had to pull him out of there. the fire started 8:00 tonight in the 400 block of 15th street northeast. a 5-year-old boy who lives in that house was fuound eight neighbor's about investigators have trying to figure out if he was inside when the house caught fire. it was the big story todaying a new policy that will stop the deportation of hundreds of thousands of young people living in the u.s. illegally. cheers went up outside the white house when the president announced this new amnesty program today. but tonight, some think it is not bold enough, while others worry about the impact this will

have on the american workforce. darcy spencer reports. >> reporter: ryan juarez, who graduated from woodbridge high school, and his father are pleased with the president's policy change affecting children of illegal immigrants. >> this is the first sign of hope. >> reporter: they consider it a first step, but not enough. just to help young people. they still want competitive immigration reform to include a path to citizenship. >> it's not complete. so i don't think any kid will be happy if they will have a permit to go to school or to work and then their parents will get deported. >> reporter: the president announced people brought to the country by their parents as children will be able to get work permits and avoid the threat of deportation for two years. >> americans in their heart, in their minds, in every single way but one. on paper. >> reporter: at the white house, hundreds chanted victory. >> yes, we did. yes, we did.

it's supposed to make the ride to work and home a lot fast somewhere a lot smoother. richard jordan reports. >> reporter: metro is putting the rush in the rush hour. the agency is adding stops at 21 stations and new trains to ease congestion when most people are trying to get to work or back home. >> it's a little packed. >> reporter: the rush plus program runs monday through friday, from 6:30 to 9:00 a.m. and 3:30 to 6:00 p.m. the dash lines on the metro map show changes coming monday. the orange line is getting six additional trains at peak times between very e enfl vienna ando >> the segment of the orange line between house and ross lynn today is the most crowded place of anywhere on our system, that's where trains are most packed. >> trains are too overcrowded and that's what's causing problems. >> reporter: the green, yellow,

june is gay pride month and president obama welcomed members of the lgbt community to the white house. president received a warm welcome at a reception in the east room. mr. obama stressed the efforts by his administration to level the playing field for less bean, gay, transsexual americans. he said there is work to do including passing nondiscrimination act so no american and be fired for being gay or transagain terred. >> phelps is criticizing the random drug testing. he had been tested six times in three weeks. he doesn't have a problem with testing but wondered if other athletes are tested as of often. phelps won eight gold medals but was suspended from usa swimming when a photo surface of him with a bong. school is 0 but nobody bothered to tell two black bears in alaska. they wondered into a high school

in anchorage. kids were no at the high school which is home of the golden bears. the bears did not cause any trouble there. other than knocking over a few trash cans. some incredible artwork on display at the washington harbor. more than two dozen artists from the area and beyond created a wall of art to surround the fountain in the center in georgetown. you know that flooded pretty badly, the harbor did last year, several bars reopened last night and businesses are looking forward to the nice weather. artwork will be on display through sunday. >> colorful. >> wonderful. it's going to be a beautiful within just to get out. >> superb to get out and do anything. it's going to be very comfortable. we'll have warm air around here. but warm air without that troublesome humidity. that's how it's been most of the week. let's see what's been going on this evening. we've got a clear sky overhead.

your high temperature today 82. in fact, two degrees below the average high for this time of year. but now coming up for the bumming of next week, temperatures will be running ten degrees above the average high. we've got real july-type weather coming our way. your pollen count for trees, grass, we'd, all low. the mold spore count moderate for today. where the heat has been today is down across the southern tier of states. by sunday it's on our back door. down around the carolinas, into arkansas, in missouri, and then what happens tuesday and wednesday of next week it will take full hold of the eastern third of the country, the core of the heat hitting us on wednesday. i'm going for a high of 94 to 95 here. but i tell you if that could be adjusted either way, i think we might see even higher reading business midweek. and again, it's going to come with humidity so feeling well above 95 degrees by midweek.

one thing that we haven't had yet, we had three days, a three-day stretch of temperatures that were 90 degrees or higher. that of course the past weekend and monday. so we could be looking at four, maybe five days of a stretch of 90-degree heat or higher. enjoy 71 degree temperature out there now. enjoy the 50-some degree temperatures that we'll have tart starting out tomorrow morn frpg north to south in the 50s. that's cool. frederick and areas to the west, for the west, leesburg, 57 to start. 61 to start in la plata and around waldorf maryland thanks to high pressure to the north of us that will be making its way eastward. high clouds tomorrow. it's going to be a beautiful day. sure is going feel very nice. sunday low humidity around the area. but with an east and southeasterly wind you can see areas in white. that's where there could be clouds. another weather front making its way east and southeastward but
