of meat, poultry and fish from drought-stricken farmers. as you might expect, pollsters sprang into action as soon as the announcement was made, a new poll shows that 38% of the adults polled have a positive reaction to congressman paul ryan. that poll was conducted on saturday and sunday, margin of error is plus or minus 5.5 points. today house republicans filed a lawsuit asking a federal court to enforce a subpoena against eric holder. the subpoena demands internal documents connected to a failed gun tracking operation known as fast and furious. four more than a decade, the d.c. school bus system has been under a strict court order that mandated better service for thousands of students. today the city is nearing an end to the court order.

couple days. >> dr. drew pettitter used a new type of robotic surgery. it's minimally invasive. it doesn't require large incisions in the muscle and the tissue around the spine. >> it allows you to get the work you need to get down without cutting and causing all the collateral damage, if you will. >> so in white's case she needed screws in her back to fuse her vertebrae. you willy that would require four incisions per screw, but with the robot he just needs one. that's because the robot is more precise. >> less pain, less blood loss, much faster return to activity. it's easier for the surgeon, in the sense the robot is a lot more accurate. >> the doctor says patients typically leave in 1 to 3 days, as opposed to 5 to 7 days with the traditional surgery.

a bit less of a chance, but east of 81, good chance for strong storms tomorrow. this is not going to be a widespread severe weather event. however we are going to watch for the potential to produce some very strong gusty winds. that's the biggest threat tomorrow. we have some clouds out there today, but just partly cloudy skies. there's our storm right there. making its way up toward the north and east. as it does action it will bring up our moisture our rain chances will be on the increase, the dew points will increase, so will the humidity. tomorrow a good chance of showers and thunderstorms, most of those will be making their way in through the afternoon. on wednesday the front moves by us, but we'll still see a chance for thunderstorms. most of them should be to the east of us, but i think a pretty good chance, southern maryland, you may get in on that action, and also our beaches.

news4's jaxxie benson is live took at the scene with more on what happened just before the collision. jackie? >> reporter: well, just a short time ago, fairfax county police released a statement that says, among other things detectives are going to determine whether alcohol or speed played a role in this crash. mangled vehicles show the force of the collision. it happened around 3:00 a.m. the 5500 belong of franconia road near gum street was deserted, little to no traffic when police say a fairfax county police officers heading east was struck head-on by a web car that swerved directly into his path. the impact caused that vehicle, a 2006 infiniti to burst into flames and left the 30-year-old officer tracked in his badly damaged vehicle. >> my understanding is he was initially trapped in the vehicle. it took some time to get him out
