we're heading into that noon time hour. we have declared today a severe weather alert day. the entire metropolitan area, including northern virginia, southern maryland, portions of west virginia, all under a tornado watch. that is until 7:00 tonight. now, let's look at our doppler radar. we do have a line of showers and thunderstorms moving in over the blue ridge mountains. that has led to several severe thunderstorm warnings already. that is including counties for allow lowden -- until 12:00 noon. as the line advances ahead of that cold front, we are expecting more warnings and watches to be issued into the afternoon and into the evening hours. now, going to our severe weather map, the tornado warning area -- should say tornado watch area, again, will cover all of the metropolitan area, most of maryland, including the
