requests for additional security in libya in the weeks and months before the attack. the man believed to be behind the anti-muslim film that sparked riots across the middle east is due in court today. a federal judge will decide if mark bassly youssef should be sent back to prison. prosecutors say youssef lied to prosecutors and used aliases. he was behind the 14-minute film called "innocence of muslims" which led to violence in the middle east. the highest military court will hear whether records of army private bradley manning should be made public. manning is accused of giving information to the website wikileaks. the center for constitutional rights says it should have access to written motions, opinions, and other records. typically, those sorts of files are available to the public in civilian trials. the military has denied multiple freedom of information requests to make those files public. 5:07 is your time.

i'm angie goff at the news 4 live desk with breaking news. since we first told you about this at 4:30, spacex, we're getting a closer look at the

shuttle as it makes its way to the international space station. we first want to show you live pictures. the crew at the station waiting patiently as the craft which we just heard turned 180 degrees. the dragon capsule is currently carrying a lot of supplies. and even ice cream for the astronauts. now, once it lands, the crew will use a robotic arm to put it in place, and then we'll do a series of checks before the berthing process happens. it's expected to stay up there for about three weeks. it will probably take a couple of hours for spacex to be bolted down, and then the astronauts will have access to the supplies and will start filling up the capsule with experiments they've done and also with broken equipment that will be repaired and sent back. at the news 4 live desk, angie goff, news 4. toyota is voluntarily recalling 7.4 million vehicles because their power window switches can malfunction. that includes almost 2.5 million cars and suvs in the u.s. among the models affected, the

toyota camry, rav4, and tundras made between 2005 and 2010. no one has been hurt as a result of the window problem, but this is the largest recall since 1996, when ford recalled 7.9 million vehicles. a developing story in london. british police say they've arrested a man and woman on syria related terrorism charges at heathrow airport. the 26-year-olds arrived from egypt last night. detectives are searching two homes in east london as part of the investigation. we expect to learn more information throughout the day. this morning a massachusetts man is charged with bringing a smoke grenade through the los angeles international airport. he was on his way home to boston from japan. federal agents say the 28-year-old man was wearing a bullet-proof vest and flame retardant pants when he entered the airport on friday. he had the smoke grenade and other weaponsluggage. they tell abc news they are not under the impression he was a

terrorist. a detention hearing is set for friday. the mother of a missing girl in colorado is speaking out. 10-year-old jessica ridgeway never showed up for school near denver last friday. her mother says the fifth grader got ready for school and left to meet a friend to walk to school, but the friend says jessica never showed up. it was hours before anyone realized the 10-year-old was missing. jessica's mother works a night shift. she says she slept through the call that said jessica never arrived. now she just wants her daughter to come home. >> and then you get the pit in your stomach that you don't want any parent, any parent to ever experience in their whole entire life that your child has just been taken. it is not ever, ever anything i want, ever, any parent to go through. >> a man found jessica's

backpack last weekend about six miles from her house. also in colorado, several families of victims of that mass shooting at a movie theater are calling for an investigation into two charities. the families say the groups used names and pictures of victims to raise money without their permission. suspected shooter james holmes faces 140 counts related to that july shooting. 12 people died, 57 others were hurt. police are hoping this video will lead them to a driver who hit a pedestrian and then kept on driving. it happened in charlotte over the weekend. you can see the man crossing the street when he was mowed down by an suv. he was thrown about ten feet into the air, but amazingly, he was not seriously hurt. he was able to get to his house three blocks away to call for help. happening today, the obama administration will issue a warning to anyone whose car air bags have been replaced in the past few years. that's because hundreds of thousands of counterfeit air bags may have been installed. the national highway traffic safety administration ran tests on the counterfeit air bags. they say they don't inflate

properly. today transportation officials released a list of dozens of vehicle models that have counterfeit air bags available on the market. they say anyone who has had an air bag replaced over the past three years by a repair shop other than a new car dealership could be at risk. the time is 5:20. the federal government is going after wells fargo. it's suing the bank, claiming it lied about the quality of thousands of loans so they'd be eligible for federal loan insurance. the government is seeking hundreds of millions of dollars the federal housing administration paid out after homeowners defaulted on their wells fargo mortgages. a massachusetts town may be cursing the state's attorney general for bad-mouthing their ban on foul language. this summer the town of middleborough voted to approve a ban on cursing. get caught swearing in public, and you'll be fined $20. the attorney general is recommending the town change or repeal the ban. she says it violates free speech. the town says it was just tired of hearing the foul language from teenagers. a lightning strike hit close

des moines register newspaper while campaigning in iowa. romney said he will not pursue abortion legislation if elected. afterwards, his campaign put on a statement saying it would provide greater protection for life. president obama's campaign responded by saying romney wasn't being true about his position. he cited a 2008 debate where it said romney would support banning all abortions. an ad featuring big bird that mocks romney's comments in last week's debate to end funding for public broadcasting, the producers of sesame street asked the campaign to stop running it. sesame street workshop says it's nonpartisan and doesn't get involved in politics. cell phones are contributing to a spike in crime. the transit agency says crime is up almost 7% between january and now compared to last year. 79% of reported cases involve property damage like car break-ins, thefts, and arson.

completing community service and paying the money back, she should be allowed to keep her office. house leaders are looking into the matter. it is now 5:48. 12 people have died from that meningitis outbreak linked to a tainted steroid infection. health officials in florida say a 78-year-old man died in july from the same strain of fungal meningitis. there have been 119 confirmed cases of meningitis across ten states. virginia has confirmed 24 cases, including one death. maryland has eight cases of meningitis, including one death as well. the tainted steroid shots used for back pain came from a massachusetts pharmacy. all drugs from that pharmacy have been recalled. the fbi and local police are asking for your help in identifying a man who robbed a d.c. bank. police say this man robbed the td bank on connecticut avenue northwest last friday. he went up to a bank teller, demanded money, and then left the bank and hailed a taxicab to make his getaway. if you know who this man is, please contact d.c. police immediately. a fairfax man is facing a weapons charge for bringing a

construction on metro's new silver line is running behind. metro released a forecast that claims the project may open a month late. that could cost the transit agency $2 million to $3 million in lost revenue. the airport authority, which is building the new rail line, says metro is taking several factors into consideration as it drafts its budget. the first phase of the silver line is expected to open late next year. tomorrow the finance committee will go over plans to move crowds on inauguration day. metro plans to create a specially priced commemorative smart trip card. it will also charge peak time fares despite inauguration day falling on the martin luther king holiday. drivers will also have to pay weekday fares on the federal holiday. at 5:54, the price of gas could go up in montgomery county if one law maker gets his way. montgomery county council president roger beuerleiner
