suburbs. take a look outside right now. we have high clouds that have moved in. filtered sunshine, the clouds will thicken up and we'll start to see more of this. precipitation showing up on radar. right now we have light precipitation just south of haguerstown, right around the winchester, virginia area. this is not reaching the ground yet, but there's this whole area of moisture will shift more to the east and get closer, a better chance of seeing the flakes start to fall, and lighter accumulation, as we -- there it is on radar right now. there's the leading edge, just like this weekend, another fast-moving systems diving south that will come clipping by deliver just a bit of snowfall for us, our temperatures are in the 30s, and they're certainly going to be dropping off down to freezing by the time we get to

midnight. so here we are. snow develops about 7:00, light snow at 10:00 and 11:00 p.m. there's that temperature, 33 to 32 degrees. here's the way it's looking right now. the snow arriving from the west. and then from 9:00 p.m. through midnight, some light snow likely with a coating to 1 inch. yes, tomorrow morning there is a possibility of a few slick spots on area roads. i'll show you a map that will include your neighborhood. again we're talking snowfall for the overnight period. back to you. the mayor of new orleans says last night's power outage won't hurt his city's chances of hosting another super bowl. mitch landrieu says to a local radio station this morning that league owners were impressed with how new orleans hosted the game last night. the nfl is still trying to figure out what caused that outage at the super dome. the lights went out during the third quarter, delaying the game for about 30 minutes. stadium officials initially

blamed an abnormality they say an investigation is still under way. fireworks over the city of baltimore to celebrate. there will be a parade tomorrow to celebrate the win, but today baltimore is cleaning up after fans poured into the streets creating a mess. sara hansen takes us there. >> reporter: monday morning, baltimore was still basking in a purple glow after a long-awaited victory. crews came out to clean up the streets of federal hill, just hours after thousands of fans came out to celebrate. they poured out of bars and restaurants downtown. in canton the streets were also counted, fans were flying high. >> it's unbelievable. i've never seen anything like this in my life. i'm glad to be a part of it. >> mega, mega, mega, like nothing we've had ever, nothing

today the maryland transportation authority announced it is raising the speed limit from 5 to 60. they tell us they're confident the new speed limit will still be safe. the decision comes after a year of crash analysis. the icc runs between i-270 and i-95 innaryland. the new speed limit goes into effect by the end of march. coming up at 5:00, transportation reporter adam tuesday will tell you how much drive time it might save you. president obama is keeping the pressure on congress to take -- the president is on his way back from a visit to minneapolis where he learned more about a program that's showing promise. danielle leigh has the latest on that. danielle? >> hi, pat. president obama has found that where he's been unsuccessful negotiating with lawmakers, he's had great success with the public. that's the great reason for this visit. he found that as public pressure increases, so does action on

capitol hill. he chose to visit minneapolis, a city once with an extremely high crime rate and has taken drastic action to reduce the crime race. two years ago they saw a 30-year crime rate low. he talked to them about the steps they've taken and learned more from the mayor that more needs to be done at the federal level. he reiterated his call to congress, with background checks, and limits to the high-capacity magazines. >> we don't have to agree on everything to agree it's time to do something. that's my main message here today. that's why i need everybody who is listens to keep the pressure on your members of congress to do the right thing. >> reporter: a recent poll from the quinnipiac university in three states -- new jersey, virginia and pennsylvania -- found that 90% support the

i'm keith rustle. this just into the news4 live desk, new details on a bus crash in california. late this afternoon we learned more about the company that owned the bus. first it has a history of safety issues. the company is based in california. federal investigators say they failed 36% of the random federal inspections the last two years. the bus crashed last night on a mountain road 80 miles east of los angeles. it was headed back to mexico from a ski trip. the driver said the bus had brake problems. the crash remains under investigation. also tonight, an union date on the condition of a

saturday night, police got a call for an unconscious man in northwest. when officers arrived, they found 68-year-old howard venable lying lifeless on the floor. >> so i said that howard was sick or something, and then after that we found out that it wasn't that he was sick, but that he had been stabbed. >> reporter: late this morning came word of an arrest in the case. residents are relieved, but they continue to mourn for the loss of their friend and neighbor. >> he was a beautiful person. he really was. we're going to miss him. he really had the presence. when he came in, you felt like you were in the presence of somebody who really had something to offer. he would have a genuine conversation with you, and it was nice. he was truly a nice person.
