county. residents in this home woke up around 11:30 to find two men in their house. the suspects demanded valuable, and they got what they wanted and left. police say the men got through the house through an unlocked door, and they are urging residents to make sure that all doors and windows are locked and alarm systems are being used if you have them. two men possibly struck by lightning are waking up. the capital says the 19-year-old benson and 23-year-old steel are still being treated as the medical center but made significant improvements. they are in fair condition, and the two men were at a picnic in annapolis wednesday night when lightning struck nearby, and they are found unconscious and were rushed to the hospital, and the fire officials have not confirmed the men were indeed struck by lightning. surprising new comments about the condition of nelson mandela tonight. who is saying the former south african president could soon be

recuperate at home. he has been hospitalized for over a month with a lung infection, and there are reports he is responding to treatment. there was an early birthday celebration today. he will be 95 on thursday. a coroner's office in canada is working to figure out exactly how one of the stars of "glee" died at a hotel there this weekend. cory monteith was found by hotel staff yesterday after he missed his checkout time. there is no evidence of foul play, and monteith has a history of substance abuse. he was dating fellow "glee" star, michelle, who has asked for privacy. condolences are pouring in on twitter with news of his tet. the official "glee" twitter said, cory was an exceptional

hundreds came out to the rfk stadium to take part in the "biggest loser" run and walk. today's race included a 5k and 10k race. and contestants from past seasons of the show also made an appearance. the botanic garden is open late tonight, to give people a chance to see a large and stinky plant. it's the tightam arum, known as the corpse flower, and when it blooms it smells just like rotting flesh. it's expected to bloom tonight or tomorrow. and if you miss it, it's not exactly clear when you will get another chance. >> it's very, very inconsistent
