may have just picked up those cones there. that camera beaks up every once in a while. hopefully that will get cleared soon. our mapping system shows thaws will be eastbound. the right lane was closed but the traffic center, tells us that they do have that moved over to the shoulder now. so all lanes are open, just expect some slight slow downs there, as well as on the inner loop after rout 29. with some alternate c. mayoring lane closures there. 295 looks beautiful, headed into the 11th street bridge, as well as the douglas bridge, delay free conditions at this time. and then 95 isn't looking too bad either. just as a heads up that northbound ramp to access rout one, will be closed throughout the day for a paving operation, that is expected to continue through 3:00 p.m., and that is going to be specifically exit 126. now, let's get a check on

plead guilty today. >> that's right. vernon hawkins is is in court he tries to impede a finance investigation. live outside the u.s. district court. with all those details. john. >> he is charged with lying to the fbi. about that so called shadow campaign, that helped elect him into office back in 2010. he is accused of trying to cover up nearly $700,000 under the table money. if you will. from a d.c. businessman who has already been charged as well, paying a campaign worker to leave town, before federal investigators started asking questions. so 74-year-old was a huge supporter, at rallies three years ago. for then council chair gray, and he has been part of gray's

if we get that much, that will cause some flash flooding. ten the flash flood has been issued to everybody up to the north and off to the west. now, you respect included here. in southern maryland or the del mar, but we do think you will still get wet. two rainfall just won't be as constant or as heavy. so forecast here. 82 by the noon hour, and we do think by 5:00 o'clock this evening we may be down to 83. but the high temperature should make it into the mid to upper 80's this afternoon. details on the latter part. hopefully the largest part of the commute will be in before that rain arrives. >> we will hope that is the case, as jackie was saying we will want to head out the the door earlier.

i have some details on a new incident. this is a live shot that we are showing you right now, of that stretch on 66 eastbound, headed past rout 50. and you can see a lot of flashing lights. we getting reports that there is police activity, and you can see only that left lane gets by at this time. on dixie dick's bound, so if you are headed that way, that's what you will encounter at this time. we also have construction wrapping up on the inner loop. completely cleared all lanes open at this time, 270, not too bad for this time of the morning moving right along. headed southbound all the way into the belt way, 95 northbound, that ramp to rout one is closed down. so just as a heads up, they will be doing a paving operation, all morning long. exhibit 126 will be closed and is expected to remain closed through 3:00 p.m. i will send it back over to jummy and scott. >> okay, amanda, thank you. 5:12 is your time. >> coming up a disturbing story

single file through that stretch of roadway, either way major lane closures. coming into fair oaks. so please consider that in your morning commute, we can see the back up stretches for about a mile, that back up showing us on the other camera, that things are backing up there, and that is going to be that wall of brake lights you are seeing right there on 66 eastbound. so if you rah headed that way, please consider using an alternate. you will hit this back up before you get to that exit in fair oaks. now, we also have got some activity going on along 95, this is going to be very minor. this is only that ramp closure. however, it is important because it is going to be closed throughout the day for a paving operation, that continues through 3:00 p.m., 295 looking absolutely beautiful, no big problems or delays heading into the 11th street bridge, or in maryland along 95 or the vw parkway. between rout 32 and the belt

to be a brewing controversy. >> well, that's right. it is all about playing time. that is the back and forth between red skins star quarterback, robert griffin the third, and head coach mike shanahan. when he was heading into rehab, and getting into practice, well, we understood that he would not play during the pre-season. well now he says he would like to be out there playing during the pre-season. it will be a big day stepping forward in terms of practice later today. he will be taking on for the first time those 11 on 11 drills that means he will get more reps oen the field, and more contact, well, that is a step this the right direction for him to be playing a sold game here at fed ex field. for the entire season. but he is also frustrated with this plan and moving forward, and how slow it is. how restrictive coach has been, take a listen. >> like coach said, i don't have to understand it. i don't have to like it.

gonzales, and he has more on what he has learned before this court appearance, john. >> scott and jummy, another guilty plea, yet another name added to this scandal, it appears that corruption and decrete is following mayor vin vent gray during his term. this time, a top advise discoer, a you remember toker campaign worker, vernon hawkins and a long time associate, he will be in federal court later this morning. he is accused of lying to the fbi, about this so called shadow campaign. that helped elect gray into office. back in 2010. he is accused of trying to cover up nearly $700,000 under the table money, if you will, from the a d.c. businessman. even allegedly paying a former campaign worker to leave town before federal investigators showed up and started asking tough questions. now, the 74-year-old was a huge supporter at rallies for then council chair gray, three years ago, and remain as food friend today.

you don't already know that, because showers are pushing in. if it isn't raining at your house right now, lit be during the day. especially greater chances this morning then again late this afternoon and this evening. start you off with a storm scan, and give you a wider picture, so you have a better idea of what is happening and what is coming. as we have this steady stream of showers and thunderstorms with this little complex that developed into the ohio valley, and it has been pushing through our area. since the overnight, and notice how this stretches all the way back to west virginia where they have been dealing with flash flooding here, and so we have this line, and several hours to go, potentially. places like haggardstown, where we think you can get the heaviest of downpours. notice the rain just west of washington, d.c. we are expecting that to move in later within the next half an hour to an hour at the most. stretching down towards warrington, and then some heavier rain into the panhandle of west virginia at this time. we also have some showers here, north of frederiksberg, but life

super dopler not showing anything in terms of lightening in those areas. that's all staying up to the authority and east, you had over an inch now, about half on inch in westminster. and 1,800th of an inch in monrovia, you could get anywhere between one and three inches. that's where the flash flood watch has been issued. we have cloudy skies. 70 is nine, very warm, in quantity coe. our cold front comes through later today, so right now the warm front is lifting up to the north, the cold front comes through for the afternoon, and that's why we have these two windows where we expect to see the showers and thunderstorms. less humid conditions behind us, so we will watch for dramatic improvement. timing here, maybe a break midday, cold front that comes through late this afternoon into this evening and then clearing skies expected overnight, and that's when the. s start to drop. this the mid to upper 80's for tonight, we will see temperatures in the upper 50's to middle 60's, and our
