avoid a government shut down and keep president obama's signature health care law intact. the rhetoric from both sides is already ramping up. >> i think this is a big step forward for america. this will over the next decade not only make us healthier but will free up in the private sector largely funds that can be reinvested in other areas of economic growth. >> former secretary of state clinton also came to the defense of the health care law saying it wouldn't be the worst thing for democrats if republicans tried to shut the government down. we've seen that muvy before and it didn't work out so well for those so-called obstructionests. senator ted cruiz started his stand. >> the evidence overwhelming.

this law is a train wreck. tracie potts is live in washington. what is expected to happen today? >> he has been talking for over 12 hours now. if he continues what is supposed to happen today might not happen or might not happen in time. the senate is supposed to vote on the idea of pulling the money out of the affordable care act in order to exchange for funding the government for another year. what we have been seeing all night long from senator ted cruz is not a filibuster but effectively so. he does support the bill but he knows the democratic leadership wants to change it and put the money back into obama care. we will see how long he is on the floor.

welcome back. temperatures feel like mid summer in a few cases. a warm day in texas and colorado and minneapolis 76 degrees this time of year. the southeast is a rainy spot. if i have airport concerns from heavy rains possible delays in tampa and orlando. atlanta and charlotte hit and miss showers. delays shouldn't be too bad. this will be the last rainy day in the southeast. we will begin to dry out a little bit. in entertainment a new law signed in california will cause greater problems for paparazzi.
