we love to see you share your photos. a lost leaves are starring to turn a little bit, but they go crispy brown and falloff because it has been so dry. what does that mean if for the fall color? is it if the pattern continues, we could have not as vivid of a fall color boy the end of october. usually around halloween that we have our peak color around the immediate area. a little bit of color on the mountains, but nothing locally as you see here in this view from our storm team 4 sky watcher camera. it is mostly grown in the urban forest around washington. nice breaks in the clouds off to the west. quite a bit of sunshine showing up and there is the sky over the washington monument now. temperatures are in the upper 60s in washington and initial airport. dew point at 53. you have a normal easterly breeze and we are going have this sunshine continuing through the afternoon.

it was great to watch. they are so starkly different on the issues. we have been saying for a long time that nobody really is totally engendered to either of the candidates, but when you look at them on policy, it's really fascinating to see just how wide the gap is on guns in particular. for terry mcauliffe it shows how far they have come. to feel like a democratic nominee feels like he can stand on stage and say that he's for an assault weapons ban and universal background checks and ammunition limits, that's a major change. 54% are in favor of same-sex marriage, president obama winning the state twice in a row, really interesting to see how different the state is even from 2004. >> anybody declaring a winner? is. >> those are tricky and tough to see who won. the wisdom on this is that because ken cuccinelli had been

possible diagnosis for a problem many of you deal with on a daily basis. lower back and leg pain. here to talk about this type of condition and it is something that a lot of people complain about. we heard the name and people say i have that siattica. >> the siattic nerve originates in the lower back. that nerve works through the hip and down towards your foot. when that nerve becomes entrapped or irritated in the lower back and hip, that produces siattica. >> what would cause that? >> a number of things that can cause it, but a lot of symptoms associated liked aiating pain. the thing is it to be constant or intermittent. tingling and burping and numbness can be felt whether you are sitting or standing for too long. anything that irritates the nerve can produce it down to your foot. >>. >> i think i and other woman who experienced pregnancy have gone

through this siattica nerve problem. who else gets it? you don't have to be pregnant. >> you don't. the thing to remember about siattica is deskren rative. it takes a while to develop the symptoms. lots of times we know what we are seeing are people who sit or travel often are more susceptible. >> how can it be diagnosed. if you think you might have it or something else is causing pain, how do you go et it diagnosed? >> determine the cause of your symptoms. a thorough exam like a chiropractic or orthopedic or neurological exam can confirm the diagnosis. an mri is helpful, but it's something you want to see your doctor about. >> what is the doctor looking for when he examines you to find out if it's that? >> tests can be done to

reproduce that. if someone has siattica, they never have it when they come to the office. it's my job to reproduce the symptoms. a series of exams that we do and stretches and reflexes and things of that nature will confirm the diagnosis. >> can you secure yourself through exercises or anything? >> that's a great question. the best thing to do is stay on the front side of things. try to monitor your weight and avoid prolonged sitting. keep your core strong will prevent the problem from developing down the road. unfortunately the longer you have these symptoms, the fewer treatment options you have. it's best to see your doctor. >> do you see this a lot? >> a lot. a lot more than you think and people who work in offices and moms that are expected. we even see it in kids from overuse. >> it's mainly from sitting. >> a lot of times and with posture in prolonged sitting.
