new orleans will go to seattle if they win this game. and face the number one seeded seahawks. philadelphia goes to carolina if they win. whoever goes wherever, the winner goes to the other city. >> cris: this is going to come down to shayne graham playing for his ninth team. replaced garrett hartley. shayne graham has had big misses in the playoffs. i remember in cincinnati, one in particular. so he's been perfect so far for the new orleans saints. but it is going to ride on his back unless they can pick up a first down here to make it even closer. >> al: second and six. and this is going to be khiry robinson taking it very close to a first down. take a look. the officials checking over at the sideline and vinovich is going to bring the chains in.

kind of thing that almost won them the game. ordinarily, i would say yes and maybe because you do have a kicker that's inexperienced on your football team, you may want to do that in this situation. >> al: they can take a time-out here. the saints do with 29 seconds. so it's first down. can run a play to exactly where graham wants it in temps of the hash marks. at this point, you're looking at an attempt of about 32 yards. brees in the first half, not much doing. two picks. one of which led to a touchdown for the eagles. came very much alive in the second half. keenan lewis was a big loss when he went out in the third quarter. foles went to work on that soft spot. touchdown there that put philadelphia in the lead. right now, philadelphia has watched the saints control the

playoff win, the cold. you got the new traveling sweat suits, the whole nine yards. truly, what was the mind-set of this team in that regard? >> honestly, nothing but confidence. we know the type of team we are, it's a matter of putting it all together. starts with the preparation. we had a great week of prep and believing in each other. ignoring what everybody else has to say. everybody else has an opinion. we know what we're all about. this was a great testament to that. coming on the road, hostile environment. one of the hottest teams in football. getting that big victory. defense played outstanding, offensively rushed the ball terrific tonight. came up with some big plays and won the game. >> michele: they made you earn everything. two picks in the first half. you mustered two field goals. came out in the second half very different. what changed? >> honestly, i think i tried to force too that i didn't need to in the first half. it was about being patient. we were running effectively. mix and match the short passing game and the down the field

shots. th big plays.of those, came up everybody played great. this was a total team victory today. >> michele: now you head to seattle. you know what it's like to play that. what are the challenges that place creates for a team? >> it's loud, crazy. they got a good thing going there. only lost one game there in the last two years. having been there less than a month ago, that serves us well, knowing what to expect, how to prepare for it. we'll need our best game that's for sure. >> michele: congratulations. >> thank you. >> michele: let's turn to curtis lofton. high scoring, explosive team. how did you rein them in? >> for us, we want to play discipline. discipline and tackle. we didn't want to give up nip big plays. you know, it's total defensive effort. >> michele: you finally get that road playoff one. how do you build on this? what do you take from this as you head to seattle next week? >> i think it adds to our

confidence. we've wf a confident bunch. getting this win in the cold and on the road. everybody said we couldn't do it, makes it that much more special. >> michele: i'm going to let you get warm. congratulations curtis. bob? our thanks to all of you. tony dungy from new york, has a reward for the first road win since before thanksgiving, this season and their first playoff road win ever, get to go back to seattle where they were blown out 34-7 a month ago. did new orleans show you anything tonight to make you believe they can beat the seahawks in seattle? >> they really did, bob. not just winning on the road but the way they won. they won without drew brees throwing for h400 yards. it was the running game, the defense and physical play that did it. and that's what they're going to need to go to seattle. i do think this is a confident team and they can learn from

that first time up there. they know they have to bring this same type of game. good physical running and defense. >> by the way, tonight's result which sends new orleans to seattle means that the winner of a likely ice bowl tomorrow between san francisco and the packers in green bay will then move on to carolina to play the panthers. this afternoon, andrew luck and the colts put together the second large he's comeback in playoff history. they rallied from 28 points down in the second half to somehow beat the chiefs 45-44. what did you see, tony, from andrew luck in his first playoff victory today? >> i thought it was outstanding today. i know a couple of the coaches on the colts staff and then say no matter what happens, andrew luck is always upbeat. today he throws his third pick. they fall behind by four scores. but he never got down and wouldn't allow his teammates to get down. he kept making plays, running the football, throwing it. this is going to give them a great deal of confidence whether
