the early evening is when it will really hit. and the storm that we have been talking about, doug. gger than the problematic one we have been talk about, and the storm that is coming in day after tomorrow hitting nearly 60. >> and folks are going, what? well, that is why you are to keep up. tomorrow from 7:00 a.m. to the 11:00 p.m., and sometimes we talk about the areas with the higher snow totals, but this time, everybody is impacted. this time the radar is quiet as we are watching the system off to the west evolving and developing from iowa northward. and this is a clipper-type storm, but this one has more unusual things that will be taking place that allows the snow to be accumulating quickly, and right now it is moderate snow for us, and with more on the impact of the snow on our area, i have meteorologist doug kammerer. >> yes, it will impact the area, and let's look at the impacts. tomorrow afternoon between 4:00

and 7:00, this will be able to be shoveled and shovelable snow for sure, and slick afternoon roads and tomorrow's rush hour tomorrow could cause problems and watch out for this, because windchills between 5 and 10 e degrees. we are 60 today, and tomorrow, 5 to 10. and we will go a step further through the day wednesday, and look at the future windchills. by tomorrow morning, 23. and tomorrow afternoon, the windchills are falling even lower and down around 9, and by wednesday morning, look at this, how about minus 11. here as the arctic air really starts to move in. v.j.? >> yes, it is a storm coming with one-two punch for us. first the snow, and then the cold and the wind. we are all going to be impacted from the storm system in a couple of minutes, i will show you how much your neighborhood will pick up from this big storm. >> thank you, v.j. and doug.

shutter, and then they used a van to break open the front glass doors and knock the atm off of the stand before loading it into their vehicle and driving off. >> and prince george's county, police are trying to figure out what caused a suv to plummet over the overpass killing two people inside. it happened on oxon hillt at indiana head highway and oxon hill road. and they say that three people were in the suv when the driver lost control. the vehicle plummeted off of the overpass and landed on the roof. the driver a 45-year-old james henderson of alexandria was killed. >> when i heard it on the news this morning, and i got a text, i just couldn't imagine when they told me that it was him. >> one of his passengers 30-year-old axiana williams of alexandria also died, but a third passenger was taken to the

hospital, but is expected to survive. police believe that speed may have contributed to the crash. and now russian police ahead of the sochi olympics are circulating this woman who is believed to be a terrorist. she left dagestan this month, and may be preparing for an attack inside of the russian zone. russian officials tell nbc news that she may be one of four women dispatched to carry out attacks in the olympic games. this new alert comes on the heels of a video from a militant group threatening to strike the olympics. we le have more of that part of the story coming up at new"newst 4". and here in washington, police are looking for a mother in connection with her child's death.@llwsb1-month-old polic s

>> that is right. it is a winter storm warning and that is what we are talking about is accumulating snow throughout the day here. and look at this, everybody is in on this warning. it covers the area, and it runs until 11:00 p.m. we are finally expecting quite a few inches in many locations in your neighborhood as well. and on storm team four right there, you can see how dry and quiet it is across the area and right now, it is off to the west that we are watching the storm system unfold, and gathering strength. sgoiting to be taking its time and making its way off to the east, but as it gets closer to the coast, it is going to be ba thering more moisture, and the closer the system gets to us, the conditions head downhill quickly. and douk kammerer outside on the weather deck to see how fast the conditions go downhill. >> yes, they are gog the go down very fast. today, the temperatures near 60 degrees, and it was a beautiful monday, and tomorrow, the scene behind me is looking different with the snow coming down. and the temperatures are going to be dropping like a rock. you take a look at the numbers

here, and the temperatures tomorrow, starting off around the 28 degree mark at. :00 a.m., and so we are going to cool quickly, and then falling throughout the day, and then by 4:00, we are talking about a temperature of 25 degrees, and the snow will start around noon, and tomorrow morning the rush hour should be fine. and around lunchtime, that is when the snow should build in, and the accumulation should build in, and we are talking about the windchills down between 10 and 15 degrees with the potential of moderate e snow to come down, and v.j., we have not seen a storm of this magnitude in three years, and that is not saying a lot, but it has been three years since we have had more than three inches in the d.c. area. >> that is true. we are going to be shoveling and cleaning up after this event, and some slick roads tomorrow afternoon evening, and the windchills are between 5 and 10 degrees and during tomorrow afternoon, dropping lower as we get into wednesday morning. for sure, we will see some

because it is the extreme weather that is coming in, and we are talking about the hypothermia and frostbite-type weather. so get out there quickly and stay on top of the storm tomorrow as the snow falls. and we are talking about the probabilities and what that means, but for d.c. getting 2 or more inches is a 90% chance and we could probably take that up to a 100% chance, and the otds of seeing 4 or more inches? on the other side of the 50, and if you like those odds, try this, 60%, folks. and 20% more, not quite as high, but still the 2 to 4, and we are going to be doing the cleaning up, folks. tomorrow, likely dry for the rush and we will be at 29 degrees, and look at the falling temperatures throughout the day, and 27 by 2:00 p.m., and the falling temperatures, the wind is also going to be picking up, and the windshield read also be in the teen, and upper teens, and continuing to drop off, and we could see the gusts late at 35 to 45 miles per hour, a nd

starting at 1:00 or 2:00 where we could see the moderate snow for a little period p of time, and maybe 1 to 3 or 2 to 4 inches of snow tomorrow. and you see that area of bowie and quantico again with the moderate snow, and getting colder and windy as well. at 6:00, the bulk of the heavy snow is starting to make the exit, and by 11:30 to midnight, it is on maryland's eastern shore, and how much? well, 3 to 6 for d.c., and then down to maryland and waldorf, eight inches of snow, and then in this area, it will be a lot to clean up down here in these counties. the windchills are dropping off wednesday morning, and late tuesday and the single digits, and droming below zero as we head into early wednesday. we keep the sub freezing temperatures around for the rest of the week.
