people have quite a challenge navigating with compromised lanes due to snow banks all over. we caught up with people sort of making the best with this. a woman stood in with a dog and had a picture taken. she told us what she would like to do with that pothole. >> i'm a regular commuter and obviously have to avoid the pothole. it's hard to miss. i'm a chef. i wanted to fill it with rainbow sprinkles sort of as an intervention. >> reporter: that could be some kind of contest. how many rainbow sprinkles would it take to fill that pothole that can pretty much take a tire. the district is going to start there pothole in mid march. they're promising a short turnarounds, 48 hours from reporting to having it if ied. here in arlington, you can contacts the city government and report potholes as well. this one has already got a reputation and been reported. i think its days are numbered. we're live in arlington, news 4.

>> i think the chocolate sprinkles would blend in better there. okay. we want to move on to a dire situation developing in the rocky mountains. two are still unaccounted for after an avalanche outside of aspen. looks like seven skiers were at the top of the mountain when this all happened. three went to the hospital. two others were not hurt. meanwhile emergency crews posted this of the search efforts. you can see how heavy the snow is out there. because of these dangerous conditions, crews won't be to begin searching again until a little later. last week, at least six died in avalanches in three states including colorado. crews had been using explosives to prevent avalanches. many popular areas have seen several big snowstorms meaning the normal snow packs are overloaded. >> that's our fear right now. there's another storm, another storm, and another storm out there on the horizon.

fighting for her life as two men remain behind bars. karie brown and nathaniel pat tent were arrested. the two claim they went to an apartment building here to buy pot, it says. michaela answered the door and left. the pair claim another man walked up, pulled a gun on them, it went off at brown and patent. they then fired shots of their own hits her in the lung. she remains in the icu on a ventilator. a popular website confirms it's been hacked. kick starter says an outside person gained access to user information. the site issued an apology noting the hack only led to initial information like a person's name and e-mail address. credit card data however, they believe is still safe. the site was shut down and security has been increased. outrage on the streets this

retry 47-year-old michael dunn on first degree measure. >> dunn shot and killed 17-year-old jordan davis over playing loud music in his car. a jury found dunn guilty of three lesser charges including three counts of attempted murder and firing bullets into a car. the jury deadlocked on the most serious and the judge declared a mistrial. back in 2012 dunn argued with three people in this suv over their loud music at a gas station. dunn fired ten shots and said it was self-defense. davis was hit and died from his injuries. he was not armed. >> we stood out here hoping for a little better outcome for jordan and his family. we believe in our laws. we support them. when they don't work, it's time for a change. >> a sentencing hearing date will be set next month. dunn faces more than 90 years in

house, there were always reminders of the remnants of racism in the federal city. he remembers a night having dinner with his wife and sports writer morris segal. >> i hate to tell it. it's the truth. three guys walked by leaving and one spit down on my foot. i started up out of my seat because it just -- i just went -- you know. mary grabbed my arm and said nothing probably saved my care really. >> mitchell saved hits for the field. over seven seasons he racked up astounding statistics raising a family and helping to change washington from a sleepy southern town to a place where his children could grow up to become whoever they wanted to become. when he left the field he went to the front office to the redskins. in 1983 he was elected to the
