still searching for leads one month after a murder. we're reporting what we learn about information that police hope will lead to an arrest in the killing of ruth ann ladado. >> a power outage is causing problems for d.c. customers. a boil water is in effect. and a news anchor quit on tv. >> i'm a proud american and believe in disseminating the true. >> why she's taking a stand on the ongoing crisis in ukraine. we're following breaking news tonight in d.c. and maryland. first, a crime scene on madison street in northwest washington just off georgia avenue north of the petworth metro station. police originally responded to a report of a crash here. then they found a man in one of the cars had been shot. we just learned that man has died and police are now treating this as a homicide

investigation. nobody's been arrested yet. breaking news in laurel, seriously injured after a crash on conte road. the car crossed the center line and hit the other head-on. the drivers were a man in one car, a woman in the other. they were both taken to the hospital pt t hospital. the man died from his injuries and the woman is in serious conditions. tomorrow marks four weeks since the shooting of a music teacher in her home. so far they have not arrested anybody. >> we are expecting new information tomorrow. chris lawrence is at the live desk with more. chris? >> tomorrow we're going to hear new information, details about the investigation that we have not heard before. specifically, we expect the alexandria police to release

information about the forensics of ruth ann's murder. investigators released this sketch of a suspect which generated more than 300 leads but did not lead to an arrest. police have been looking at the similarities between her death and two other murders that took place during the day within two miles of each other with no signs of forced entry. regional transportation planner ron kirby killed last november and a sheriff's wife nancy dunning was killed back in 2003. so far, there is no connection in the cases. >> i asked if we're closer to a resolution and every day we get closer. we have tips and the composite that we released. everything brings us one step closer to solving the murder. >> again, we'll get new information tomorrow when police hold a news conference at 1:30 in the afternoon. news 4 will be following the developments throughout our

newscast. at the live desk, i'm chris lawrence. >> thank you, chris. right now there's a boil water advisory. take a look at this map. if you live if the highlighted areas west and southwest of rock creek park and you're noticing lower than normal water pressure, d.c. water says you should boil your water before you drink it. it's all because of a power outage earlier today causing the taps to run dry. as of now, all water service has been restored but as a precautionress departments are being warned to boil drinking and cooking water. the advisory is in effect until, quote, further notice. >> also new tonight, the police in prince georges county are increasing the patrols in river dale. this is after a 95-year-old woman was sexually assaulted on 63rd avenue in riverdale.

a man broke in just before 9:00 that night and attacked her. the suspect took off on foot. as a community meeting tonight, police announced a $25,000 reward for any information that leads to his arrest. >> from what i understand, it's a tight-night community. you know when something is out of place. and please, i can't stress enough, you're never wasting our time. >> the suspect is described as being in his 20s, about 5'2" with dark, curly hair. >> the reward for information about a murder in woodbridge, virginia, is up to $11,000 tonight. she left behind a 9-month-old daughter. surveillance video from that night show three men wearing all black walking into the store. they shot cocoa romero and another employee and rushed out. the other woman is recovering.
