right now at 6:00, your morning drive is okay this morning. we are live keeping an eye out for slick spots on the roads right now. if you look at the temperatures right now, you can see why. they are below freezing. so get ready for the cold air as you head out this morning. we do have a number of school delays to tell you about this morning as well. >> most of them are in virginia. fairfax, loudoun, prince william, skafford and faulkier schools opening two hours late today. so will schools in culpeper, king george, page and spotslvania. manassas park and fredericksburg will open two hours late. >> in maryland calvert, howard and st. mary east county schools open two hours late. tom kieran is here now with your forecast as we approach 6:01. >> i think that's a good call the schools are opening a little

late this morning because we are dealing with some patchy ice and also storm team 4 radar well south of washington, southern maryland, northern neck of virginia, lower part of the eastern shore getting some rain and some freezing rain. the area in green getting some rain there, but the area of white is seeing light snow falling in far southern maryland down to lookout point and lexington park. then south of there, this patch of pink is the zone of some freezing rain and some freezing drizzle. that rain and drizzle is falling and then freezes on elevated surfaces. parts of the northern neck, watch out for that. from there west of there to north of richmond, but well south of fredericksburg, we are off to a cold start. subfreezing temperatures. prince george's county, the upper 20s. montgomery and frederick county, near 20. in the freezing mark for the district of columbia. watch out for slick spots and the area in red. that snow that melted overnight, water on roads, freezing up a

little bit, especially on the ramps. lookout for that. danella, what's going on for the wilson bridge? here's what i'm looking out for. an accident involving a van and a box truck. i'm already starting to see minor delays now. so this is just crossing the wilson bridge closer to route 1 on the inner loop of the beltway. as we get a look at what it looks like, lanes are now jammed under a mile. they are jammed just here. police are saying that the van is underneath the box truck. so we are sending chopper 4 to get a live look. again, heads-up heading to the wilson bridge in the local lanes. now over to the rails. i'm tracking just a minor six-minute delay, not bad, penn south train 505 on the marc. metro and vre, no delays. thank you. 6:02. new this morning, we just learned new information from d.c. police who are investigating a powdery substance found at georgetown university. police say that substance is safe and the scene is now clear.

police say the substance was found earlier this morning in one of the dorm buildings there on the georgetown campus. new light will be shed on child pornography later on this morning. over the last few months, a group of federal officials has been investigating the crime focusing on underground child porn websites. today at 10:00, officials will announce the result of the international investigation at i.c.e. headquarters. opening statements in the court-martial soft a formal naval academy football player. the trial for joshua tate was delayed yesterday because of the snow. tate is accused of taking advantage of a woman back in 2012 at a party. the woman was too drunk to remember what happened but heard she had sex with multiple partners. three football players were accused but tate is the only one charged. route 50 is open in bowie after a tanker truck caused

problems for hours last night happening around 6:00 p.m. the driver suffered a medical problem and his truck hit the jersey barrier, flipped on its side and blocked both sides of the highway. it took hours to remove the truck. the driver had to go to the hospital. he will survive. no one else was injured. and it is 6:04 now. today we'll hear where the democratic candidates for mayor of d.c. stand on women and family issues. there's a forum at the a&e church downtown. the group called aware is dedicating the awareness. d.c. mayor's vincent gray will go to court to clear his name. >> robert bennett says ronald machin is out to get the mayor. last week he pled guilty to run the campaign to get gray elected four years ago. thompson said the president knew about that campaign. gray has not been charged with

anything, but he said, let me make it clear, i don't think he should be identitied but if he is we open intend to go to trial. today the prince george east council could approve science and technology jobs. the plan would create a special business district in college park, greenbelt and beltsville. the county will offer lower perks to offer benefits. that will help prince george's county compete with the i-270 technology corridor. chris brown may miss his assault trial here in washington next month because he's locked up in l.a. the singer was arrested last friday at rehab after making comments about being good using guns and knives. in a hearing yesterday, the attorney said he had to stay behind bars for another month. this is related to the 2009 guilty plea for attacking his then girlfriend rihanna. he all faces a few charges.

this 20-year-old was set to join islamist extremists in syria. a criminal complaint says he was a student at a community college and member of the national guard. the complaint also alleges he discussed a plot to bomb the l.a. subway system. if found guilty, he could face 15 years in prison. new this morning, russia one step closer to taking over crimea. the meetings vice president and joe biden are having right now to calm tension in that region. >> expensive tests to treat headaches. why experts now say you're throwing away your money. and tom kieran is looking closely at storm team 4 ray door to see where@@@@!@@@@!@@@@!@@@@@
