again 66 about 47 miles an hour at this point and slow down in dale city as you head north. police say a man shot in silver spring may be the victim of a drive-by shooting. this happened around 7:00 last night outside of apartments on bradford road not far from piney branch road. a neighbor told news 4 the victim tried to run to an apartment building for help, but no one responded. others say they have noticed recent confrontations between residents. >> there's been some arguments. and i couldn't really -- you you know, i fry to mitry to mind hi business. >> but you saw trouble coming? >> you can't tell these days. >> the vehicle fiictim is now o hospital and staying with a friend. two teens hit by a truck are

expected to recover. they were rolled away on stretchers yesterday afternoon. this accident happened at the enclave apartments near columbia pike and old leaf drive. police have not said who was at fault there. today first of its kind meeting that could make your commute a little bit easier in the future. montgomery county and d.c. transportation officials joining forces to talk about ways to keep the roads around here moving more fluidly. molette green owith a preview o some of their plans. >> reporter: we've seen metro buses come and go here at georgia and silver spring avenues just over the d.c. line here. and that's going to be the focus of this regional meeting. mass transit. what can be done, how can both areas share more of their resources. they will talk about extending bus rapid transit routes into the district.

bw parkway in laurel southbound backed up after a police chase. the chase ended at 32, so that is where you'll see all the police activity. but we have a big backup. let's take a look at the map. wider look at things as you head into the beltway, not so terrible. a little slow 66 headed in to town as you typically expect. same thing top of the beltway up by new hampshire avenue and then d.c. 295. 50 westbound at polileasant val road, a brand new accident there. and 66 at compton, some backups. car crashes are the leading cause of death among teen aenlgers. but the type of car they drive could greatly impact their safety. new this morning, research to help parts select safe models.
