let's look at it right now. you can soo te line are. that is a blue line t weather front. through ohio and indiana. that front moving east southeast. so it is going to take some time to get here. ahead we're already seeing thunderstorm development. two lines here are producing some lightning and heavy rain throughout the area. as we've had the high chooumd humidity with us today and the high temperatures right now. north and west hitting sandy hook, frederick maryland. the next couple of minutes and in and around d.c. we're talking about some storms. it will last until about 10:00 or 11:00 this evening. but at least that will break the heat. the indies through the area, 95 to 103 is what it fees like outside right now. we'll take a look with the four day forecast and when all of this will break.

all coming up. new at 5:00, a man accused of killing in washington is now in custody 400 miles away. u.s. marshalls tracked down michael gayle in charlotte, north carolina. he stabbed and killed even donnelly an a home on queens street in southeast d.c. he is now awaiting extradition. the deadly shooting in the bank, we are learning more. they responded to a call when a man started acting eerratically. one officer has been with the department less than a year. the other about two years. we are told one of them shot donald baiten when he allegedly pulled a knife on the officers. both are now on administrative leave. a woman from fairfax is one of two facing terror charges

the international dispute over russia's role in all of this continues. live from the white house now with the latest on the investigation. kristen? >> reporter: i just spoke with deputy national security visor ben rhodes who tells me the evidence against russia continuing to be damning that they supplied the heavy weaponry to those russian-backed separatist that is it is believed shot down the plane mh 17. one piece of evidence he points to is the fact he says russia continues to supply the separatists with heavy weaponry even today. as for those two fighter jets that were shot down, rhodes says it speaks to a broader trend here that the separate is are targeting aircraft. they have taken responsibility for shooting down other aircraft as you pointed out but they won't take responsibility for mh 17. so as investigation continue, the e.u. is preparing to enact stiffer sanctions, sanctions that would target the financial,

as we said yesterday these are storms that are going to be firing during the dinner hour and into the early part of our night. so it is going to be a little rough out there at times with some thunder. some lightning and even wind too. most of yosengh. some of you seeing this, what is showing up on rarpd. let's go to radar now. that severe thunderstorm warning until 5:10. it will be impacting areas of the shenandoah, warn, frederick county and virginia. hardy counties in west virginia. this is the storm we're tracking. from winchester to toms brook. it could be producing winds up to 50 or 60 miles per hour. maybe even small hail. and the lightning, up north around frederick county and

headed there by 5:30. it has a lot of wind. more storms to the west so we're going to have this up until i think about 11:00. up until 6:00 p.m. this area here, hagerstown, winchester, la ray. until 9:00 p.m. into d.c. baltimore, the i-95 corridor and just to the west. up until about 11:00 p.m. storms in southern maryland, southeast maryland, eastern shore. so whams after 11:00? things get a little quiet we're still going to see showers. and maybe even isolated showers for the morning rush. the heat index right now is over 100 in a few neighborhoods but we cool to 81 with some of this rain by 11:00 p.m. to midnight. as we track it out for you over the next 48 hours, here we are at 6:00 p.m. frederick, maryland. 7:00 p.m.

he is not denying he shot and killed her in his front porch but says he acted in self defense. now on trial in detroit for second-degree murder. 19-year-old ranish amc bride knocked on his door late at night. they say he shot her and should have called police. his attorneys said he couldn't find his cell phone to make the call.
