line opens for regular service. let's take a closer look at some specifics here. there will be five new stations on the silver line. four are clustered around tysons, one of course at wehle avenue and reston. this is the only new station that has a parking garage. the other four do not. folks can now ride the rails on the silver line from rest top a reston to what alargo. every six minutes during rush hour. the big test comes monday morning during the morning rush hour. back to you. >> we calculated just how much time and money a trip on the new silver line might cost you. let's say you starting today at wehle reston east. it will take you 70 minutes to take the train to largo town center which is technically the opposite end of the silver line. that fare will cost you $3.60 during off peak hours. $5.90 during peak travel. you can calculate your own silver line route, just look for

learn how long he'll spend behind bars. ralph conrad will be sentenced this afternoon on 50 counts of possessing and distributing child porn. each count carries a maximum of five years in prison. the 43-year-old could be hit with a 250 year prison sentence. conrad worked for loudoun county schools for 15 years and statute taught at seven daifferent schools. prosecutors will push for a new trial for a police officer accused of killing his wife. >> we thought we had a strong case. >> samson lawrence is accused of beating his wife during an argument last november. a jury deadlocked last night could not reach a unanimous verdict. prince george's county prosecutors also say that lawrence violatesed a court order that forced him to stay away from his wife. a new hearing is set for 9:00. we are following a developing story, there are no survivors in a plane crash in mali. this morning we're learning how

person police may be looking for here. so as soon as we get information, we'll pass it on to you. for now, that's the latest from the live desk. today governor mcauliffe will visit the camp ground that was torn apart by a deadly tornado. the ef-1 twister moved through the area yesterday with winds topping 100 miles an hour. a couple from new jersey was killed when a tree fell on top of their tent. their 13-year-old son was in another tent and is now in critical condition. dozens of others were injured. more than 1300 people were at the campground when that tornado hit. that was just before 9:00 in the morning yesterday when it slammed into the cherry stone camp ground. that's about 40 miles northeast of nor following. >> new details this morning on the air algerie plane cash. president of france says one black box was found at the crash site. all on board died, most were

french citizens. flight 5017 disappeared from radar less than an hour after it took off from burkina faso early yesterday morning. the plane crashed during a rain storm. right now two military planes carrying victims from malaysia flight 17 are on their way to the netherlands. australia's prime minister says 90 federal police officers will go to the crash site in ukraine. the group is trying to secure the site and they might be armed. pro-russian separatists control the area. they have hampered investigators access to that site. flight 17 was shot down eight daysing inaing go now. today president obama will sit down with the presidents of the conditions at the center of the immigration crisis. presidents of guatemala, honduras and el salvador to the white house. they will discuss how to stop the wave of children and mothers flooding the border.

they have been able to make some progress. it looks like firefighters are on the roof directly next door. still waiting to find out if there was anyone in the home at the time the fire started and how they are doing if there was anyone inside. firefighters trying to get an upper happened. we'll keep catching it. today a teen accused of opening fire outside the national zoo will be in court. they are believed to be members of rival gangs. the teen has been charged as a juvenile including attempted murder. the gun used has never been found. three people hurt in a horrible chain reaction crash. a blue panel truck careered across braddock road and plowed through the parking lot at the sunoco and crushed a minivan. put it between a pump and another truck.

during peak hours. you can calculate your own route, just go to nbcwashington.com and search silver line. hyattsville police are investigating two assaults on women. both attacks happened within a mile of each other. police say the first happened july 10 on jamestown road. a man approached a with homan a demanded her phone and tried to pull her into the woods. she struggled and got away. on wednesday, a man jumped out of the woods to attack a woman on the hamilton street. he threw her to the ground, but she was able to escape. anybody that has any information on this should contact hyattsville police. new information now on breaking news in the bronx. a child and two firefighters were hurt in a massive fire at a super are market. more than 200 you crews on the scene there right now trying to keep the flames from spreading in to neighboring buildings. it is that time of year.

from that row house. we know firefighters are inside hosing it down. big developments that we've learned, there was a woman and child, possibly a grandmother and grandchild in the home, they were able to escape through a back door. there was also a man on the second story, he was able to jump out of the home and get to safety. he was put on a stretcher and taken in an ambulance to get checked out at a hospital. very early organization but already fire investigators believe they know the cause of the fire, they're calling it a fire bombing. you may always know that as a molotov cocktail. basically someone throwing an accelerant into the home. one person is in custody because of this. but there you're looking at the live pictures. it looks like firefighters have for the the upper hand. but again, one injury to report and one person now in police custody. it's 6:54. in a few hours, a former virginia art teacher will learn how long he'll spend behind bars.
