dennis who lives in maryland would be here visiting. instead he's in a coma in liberia. >> i'm angry we have been unable to override the hold they put on the borders and that we have been unable to get him out of the country. >> reporter: now there is an ebola crisis. nathani nathaniel's family says medics can't drive him to a medical facility because they don't want ebola to spread. nathaniel tested negative. he was visiting his family and started having seizures. >> what's the big challenge of bringing him back to the united states? >> the biggest challenge of bringing him back now is that a lot of airlines are not flying out at all. >> his family set up a fundraiser. they have raised $5,000 so far. >> why do you need $30,000? >> to transport him they need a doctor and a medical equipment on the plane.

then they need the money to pay for the medical expenses. >> reporter: they won't give up on the struggle to bring a solution. >> they will have a fund-raiser tomorrow. meanwhile his mother is in liberia trying to bring him back to the u.s. i'm shomari stone, news 4. >> the ebola outbreak has two north carolina based missionary groups pulling people out of west africa. two aid worker for one of the groups has contracted the disease already. dr. kent brantley. nancy rybolt, they are fighting for their lives against a virus with nov vaccine and a 90% deat rate. tonight brantley's condition is worsening. this is a a super virus in west africa. nearly 700 died.

pleading guilty to bribes from an fbi agent while in office. brown is one of two former council members who called the prison home. harry thomas is serving a sentence there. >> a bomb shell starts in the corruption trial. claims of a broken marriage and revelations that she had romantic feelings for the man who showered them with gifts and loans. lawyers for bob and maureen mcdonnell said they couldn't have conspired to use his office for financial gain. they were barely on speaking terms. her attorney told jurors they would hear maureen had a crush on johnny williams calling him her, quote, favorite playmate. unlike the governor, williams paid attention to her. >> it was the most riveting moment i have seen in virginia politics in some time. >> their daughter broke into

tears on the stand saying she met williams just once before her mother said he wanted to pay $15,000 for her wedding reception. the money set off the federal investigation. >> a fight over the future of a landfill that pitted a a business against fairfax residents. news 4's jackie benson was there for a meeting. she joins us with the latest on the landfill. >> it's done. barring unforeseen developments the landfill with close in 2018 as planned. >> aye. >> aye. >> the chair has voted nay. the motion to deny is successful. >> reporter: after a almost two hours of tense and sometimes rancorous back and forth with county planning staffers the board of supervisors voted against a measure to push back the planned closing of the landfill from 2018 to 2025.

the chair and others who voted in support of the delay cited the need to dispose of debris from the silver line construction boom. supervisor jerry highland whose district is home to the landfill was add a manhattanly again-- a it. >> the landfill's owner reacted. >> we have no plans to come back and try to make another application. >> residents waged a passionate grassroots effort against the delay. >> many of the communities, so well after 2006 knowing the landfill would be closed. the developers will see it. they will renew faith. we'll have more revenue for the county. a better place to live for residents. >> some details have to be hammered out. what appears to be the last impediment to the closing of the landfill in 2018 has been removed tonight.

jackie benson, news 4. >> it's maryland versus virginia. in a huge battle for a government agency and all the jobs and money that come with it. the short list for the new fbi headquarters is out. d.c. isn't on it. instead the general services administration says it's between a warehouse site in springfield and two sites in prince georges county. the land over mall and near the green belt metro. there will be 11,000 jobs. 2 billion dollars in economic impact. >> tonight two maryland people are hurt after a porch collapsed under them. rescuers responded and had to free two victims trapped for 20 minutes. one was flown to shock trauma. the other, taken by ground. they are both expected to recover. investigators are working to find out what caused the accident. >> the ceo in virginia charged with killing his wife is a free

man. castillo posted a $2 million bond. prosecutors say he was in the middle of a bitter divorce with his wife michelle. they say he killed her and made the death look like a suicide. lawyers asked castillo's bond be revoked because of new dna evidence they say linked him to the crime scene. castillo is due back in court tomorrow for a bond hearing. >> pressure is building tonight against the largest fast food chain over labor practices. the national labor relations board says mcdonald's may be liable for decisions made by the franchises. that rules from demands for higher wages by employees. mcdonald's has argued franchise owners dictate the wages. labor organizers say the chain tightly controls the franchises. this could have a big impact in the district. mcdonald's is d.c.'s biggest private employer.

a potential presidential candidate is chiming in on the redskins name controversy tonight. hillary clinton told jorge ramos of fusion tv she think it is name is insensitive and there is no reason to keep it. she encouraged the owner to think hard about a new nickname. when asked if she had suggestions clinton said she hadn't thought of an alternative. delta airlines is describing a terse exchange between a pilot and air traffic controller in atlanta. the controller was trying to keep the pilot from taxiing onto the wrong runway. a correction that the pilot didn't seem to appreciate. >> hey, you know what? we'll taxi out there any way you want but you tell us to. i don't like your attitude. >> i don't have an attitude.
