around baltimore. rain coming in but not until tonight. scattered moved north of richmond. still very dry here where we are. the rain is coming down hard in the carolinas. now southf virginia beach, outer banks, moderate to heavy rain. eastern north carolina tapers off. this is an area of low pressure that is tracking north. it will be continuing due north. so a lot of this rain, the pluck of the heavier rain likely just east of the metro area. increasing clouds by 5:00. some of the leading edge of the rain, showers moving into our southern suburbs. showers pick up between 8:00 and midnight. could get moderate downpours. between midnight and dawn is where we could get the heaviest rains. after that it begins to taper off during the day on thursday.
