just hit me on the side of my head, my neck, fell to the ground. >> out of control. right now at 6:00, the frightening firsthand account at six flags america that turned violently. exposed to a deadly virus. an american doctor that came face to face with ebola arrives for treatment. and the nationals something they've never done before, and my goodness, the timing could not be better. news 4 at 6:00 starts now. just a chaotic scene at six flakes america, social media lit up as people left the park. people started fighting.

two teenagers had to go to the hospital. good evening, i'm adam tusk in for chris lawrence. panicked crowds spilled out of the park and on to central avenue causing traffic problems. news 4's derek ward spoke to a teenager who was caught up in it all. >> reporter: it was built as a fright festing with halloween-themed day at six flags america. reports and video of violent confrontations in the park turned fright fest into a fight fest. this teen found himself a helpless victim after the park was closed early because of the fighting. >> people came out, started saying that they was going to fight. >> reporter: he told them he wanted no part of it, but a group of other people surrounded him. >> he said who are you with, i said i'm trying to get home. then a couple people came behind me and just hit me on the side of my head, my neck, fell to the ground. >> reporter: his mother en

route. and more disturbing scene presented itself. >> my daughter walked up, they were choking a little girl on the side. and when we came over to them, they ran. and, you know, we helped her up, made sure she was okay. >> reporter: she found her son bloodied and dazed. >> he fell into my car. >> reporter: six flag denies much, but not all of the accounts of what happened here on fright night. one guest was injured during an altercation in the parking lot last night, and that reports of a massive fight or other serious injuries are completely inaccurate. they go on to say that the safety of their patrons is the number one priority. a spokesman says three people were treated for nonlife threatening injuries, two were taken to a hospital. meanwhile a parent is troubled by what happened and how it was handled. >> what's the protocol and do they have a back up plan? and what in the future they're going to do to make sure this doesn't happen. >> reporter: as for the scene's

assessment -- teen's assessment. >> i'm having fun there. more trouble in ferguson, missouri, after a police officer was shot last night. people gathered to protest the michael brown shooting and the police chief said the shooting was not related to those protests. the officer was at the ferguson community center checking on the building when two men ran from him. one shot the officer in the arm during the chase. that officer is expected to be okay. they're still searching for the two men. its been 16 days since anyone has seen hannah graham, and now the search for the missing uva student has stretched into a rural and wooded countryside. rescue workers set out on atvs today, the search is now much smaller. instead of the hundreds of volunteers we saw last week, about 50 people are now combing the area just south of charlottesville. they're following up on more than 1600 tips and say no stone will be left unturned. >> and if we don't find anything, we just know she's not

ever. let's take it up to the top of the ninth, one out away from the first no hitter in national's history. players on their feet for jordan zimmerman. christian yel itch standing in his way. he rips the pitch to left center. the rookie with that incredible catch to s hitter. first in history in unbelievable scene on the field after the out, zimmerman mobbed by his teammates, everyone just giddy, hugs here on this field. and they were still shaking hand and big smiles just hours after the game. so we're going to hear from the hero of the day, jordan zimmerman and the guy who made that miraculous catch later in sports. you're going to want to hear that, adam. >> all right, carroll. every time you see that play, it looks like it gets harder and harder when he makes that catch. it's amazing. >> reporter: he said i don't know howdy it, but i was not going to drop it is what he says. within the last hour, a patient exposed to the ebola

virus arrived in the d.c. area for treatment. the american doctor who was volunteering in sierra le yoen was submitted to the national institute's of health clinical center in bethesda. that's where dars ya spencer joins us live. >> reporter: yeah, nih confirming that this doctor has been brought here in bethesda. we don't know much about this doctor, they're not saying what the doctor's name is. they're not saying whether this was a man or a woman. it's important to note here, we don't know if the doctor does in fact have ebola. the doctor brought here for observation. >> well, when you're exposed, a certain risk that you might have gotten infected. but when one comes under the category of being exposed, that does not necessarily mean that you are infected. >> reporter: nih officials say he'll be kept in an isolated unit and will be treated by specialists trained to handle this type of illness. they say staff and the community do not need to worry. >> there's minimum if any risk

at all to people in the hospital as well as people in the bethesda area. we have an extraordinary capability at the nih and a special unit designated to this type of infection containment. >> reporter: in fact, nih doctors say ebola patients can be safely cared for at any hospital that follows cdc recommendations, and can isolate a patient in a private room. >> we're working closely with the united states state department, who takes a major responsibility in making sure that american citizens who are in that situation are able to come to the united states and get either the observation and or care that they need. >> reporter: back out live, we don't know again at this point whether the doctor does in fact have the ebola virus. they say within 21 days they should know after the observation period if the doctor has the virus. the doctor will be treated right here. reporting live from bethesda, dars why spencer, news 4. coming up, it's an incident that has thousands of travelers

nightclub leaves 15 people hurt. the youngest victim is just 11 years old. now when police and rescue crews arrived, they found a large crowd of teenagers and adults scrambling to get to safety. some people were screaming saying they'd be shot. among the wounded five girls between 11 and 17 years old. it's still unclear how many shooters there were or what started the whole thing. well, right now in chicago, air travel is still struggling to get back to normal. two days after a fire broke out in an air traffic control center. this was the scene at howe hare this morning. travelers had to sleep inside the terminal as they waited for flights to resume. another 550 flights canceled today alone. including seven arrivals at reagan international. a fix can't come soon enough. >> the united states for god sakes, it's causing trouble all over the country. people trying to get everywhere, and for crying out loud, o'hair

investigators now say alcohol may be a factor in an early morning crash on the beltway. it involved three vehicles including a van that flipped over after hitting a cruiser. the trooper wasn't hit, tonight a driver and passenger are both in the hospital. we're told the trooper was conducting a traffic stop near the road when the van crashed into the cruiser. another car was also hit, but no one inside was hurt. check out what firefighters had to deal with in good faithersburg today after a fire broke out. flames were shooting from the roof and thick black smoke filled the air as firefighters arrived. it took 60 frvrts to put out -- firefighters to put out the flames after equipment malfunctioned. the fire caused $100,000 worth of damage. no reports of any major injuries. well tonight, news 4 is

highs tomorrow will be in the upper 70s. and for the entire workweek, you can expect your high temperatures for the most part to be in the mid to upper 70s. as far as rain is concerned this week, well, don't count on it. very minor rain chances on the seven day. we could definitely use some for the month. we're about two inches down where we would typically be for the month of september, overall though for the year. you have about five inches above average worth of rainfall. as we look to the upcoming weekend, already thinking about next weekend temperatures. they are looking a little bit cooler. highs will be around 70 degrees. so feeling more fall like. right now though, we're in the midup toer 70s for the most part. 79 in coal pepper, 77 in washington, and that was coming in at 74. satellite and radar, plenty of cloudiness across the areae drys about the clouds though, they act as a blanket. temperatures not as cool as you're stepping out the door for more monday morning, heading

back into work, you can see areas like frederick, and gathersburg, upper 50s. washington, temperatures around 62 degrees. very similar for those of you by the water as well. so as kids are waiting for the school bus, they could grab the light jacket, but also shorts will be just fine. by the time recess rolls around, we're looking at temperatures to be in the 70s at that point. here is your hour by hour planner. 7:00 a.m., the clouds are already here. temperatures in the low 60s. noon we're in the low 70s, not a bad day to have lunch outside, it'll billion refreshing. 77 degrees, that's the high tomorrow, we hit that at about 4:00 in the afternoon. 7:00 p.m., still plenty of clouds, overall, pretty nice. relatively speaking, temperature of 74. looking ahead to playoff baseball, orioles playing their first game on thursday. no matter what time the game is set, the weather is looking good. it's the nationals are playing their game later in the day on friday, rain could threaten the latter part of the game.

jason fugh joining us now. >> really, really? >> couldn't have scripted this out better. wonderful season for them. 162 baseball games has come and gone. the nationals wrapped up the 2014 regular season and spectacular fashion. great day to be at the ball park if you're a fan because you witnessed history today. jordan zimmerman pitched a no-hitter for the nats. first no-hitter in team history and the first by a washington pitcher since 1931. nat's fans getting pumped up for the playoffs, but hold on, we have to play 162 first. zimmerman saving the best for la last. he's going to strike him out. bottom of the second, he gets help on offense, ian desmond just crushes this ball to left center. that's the solo blast.

number 24 on the season for des, and the nats go up. the stop of the ninth, the fans on their feet. zimmerman back on the mound looking to finish off the no hitter. matt williams put steven junior left an offensive replacement, and it pays off with two outs, pitching to christian, and watch him track this ball. great catch in the outfield, preserving the no hitter if zimmerman. first no hitter in national's franchise history. what a way to end the 2014 regular season. now with that, we bring in carroll maloney who's at national park. carroll, what was the atmosphere like at the ball park today? >> goose bumps, that's what i can tell you, jason, that last play, the catcher of the nats, wilson ramos told me he called for fastball. so when christian connected and you saw it sail into left field, this entire stadium held its

breath. but he gets the out, i should say susa gets him out and jordan zimmerman who felt it building all day makes history. >> i was just trying to keep it all in, you know, i knew it was getting close and obviously with the fans going crazy. you can definitely know you're getting close to the end. and you know, just try to be myselfut there and throw strikes.
