the apartments last friday night, gunfire was exchanged hitting two men and little jaden who was near this playground when a bullet shot through his eye. >> my son is the only one in the hospital bed. that's what overwhelms me. >> if it had not been for the officers, my son wouldn't be here today.bc >> d.c. council members along with hundreds of supporters held a prayer vague and ambigous ill. held a prayer vigil. the two men who was also shot were not seriously injured. detectives continue to investigate. >> turn yourself in, give someone a phone call.

>> tonight d.c.oc)ij police urg anyone with information to give them a call. news 4 in d.c. two virginia parents accused of the unthinkable, adam and jazmyne alexander face felony negligent charges for the death of their nine month old baby girl, she was left unattended for 16 hours without checking on her. she may have also had a breathing problem but was never taken to a daughter. the couple also has a two-year-old tdaughter in the care of relatives. dr. kent brantly is urging people not to panic even though two days ago the first man to be diagnosed with ebola in the united states died in a texas

hospital. brantly was the first american to be flown back to the u.s. for treatment and he beat the virus. >> yes ebola is serious. it's a deadly disease. it's very serious. for the rest of us we don't need to be worried that a plane flying over is going to somehow contaminate us. >> in west africa ebola has killed more than 4,000 people, most of the victims in seer lee own and guinea. the number of cases probably double every three or four weeks.z-óñ world's leading forces have to join forces to help the people in west africa. travellers driving from west africa will be screened and have their temperatures checked. the measures are aimed from

there's so little of it i can't even tell you what make or model it is. we are told one of the vehicles was on fire. then take a look down the road you can see a second vehicle with its flashers on there. again just the remains of the vehicle, hard to believe there were eight human beings between these two vehicles we're told. two are dead. there are two small children in very serious condition. and a number of other people in very, very serious injuries. now this happened about 45 minutes ago at the intersection of livingston road and livingston terrace. we have very little information at this point as to what caused this accident but it is obvious from looking at these vehicles that there was a high rate of speed involved on the part of one of these vehicles.

the impact of this according to people here was tremendous. again we're told two adults are dead. two children have been taken to the hospital in serious condition with serious injuries and there are serious injuries among the other people in that accident. investigators have just begun their investigation into what happened here tonight and we can tell you we don't know what contributed to this accident. we don't mknow if weather playe a role. we suspect they will be on the scene for a number of hours. >> thanks for putting that in perspective, jackie. > new tonight two people are behind bars charged in/vi[s a homicide from this morning. a man was killed in southwest. the two suspects were also

involve in an assault and carjacking in southeast. d.c. police looking for a man who walked into a barber shop, kutt-n-upp and opened fire. he put on a ski mask, walked up to a customer, fired several shots. the man died at the hospital. police hope someone seen the shooter before he put on the mask. next what retailer information could be at risk. plus a long road back for one survivor of a deadly motorcycle crash.

>> tonight we're getting a look inside one man's recovery from a motorcycle crash in maryland that changed his life. it's been an uphill climb physically and emotionally. he has a message for drivers and bikers about sharing the road and how quickly you can lose everything. >> carlos is learning to walk again his legs are broken, and trying to regain use of his muscle and arm. he was involved on a motorcycle crash on the fourth of july in montgomery county. it was about 6:30 in the5 evening, he was driving to his home. >> i feel like i'm in a movie.

attention k-mart shoppers, your information may have been stolen, the chain noticed a breach on thursday and moved quickly to limit the damage but the chain believes some debit and cred it card numbers may have been compromised. it says the breach began in september. we have it sm new numbers to show how much money montgomery camera school bus cameras are bringing in, $78,000 in fines, sent to drivers who illegally pass busses. each ticket is $125. how long is this rain going to be with us? >> probably at least the next 24 hours, right around noon on saturday. right now it looks splochy.

wet road soz give yourself a little bit of extra time. temperatures aren't going to dip too much lower than they are right now. tomorrow will be completely different. here's future weather showing tomorrow morning at 8:00 a.m. notice the rain still around our region some of the heavier rain just to the north. and even around 11:00, to 1:00 still dealing with shower activity but then we will see breaks in the clouds, still cloudy around 4:00 to 6:00 but overnight it will clear out. we will get chilly. wet start to saturday a cold start during the day on sunday. tomorrow rainf ending around nn but soggy field. i won't be surprised to see some of the games cancelled.
