tonight, as doctors await ebola test results on that woman who threw up. mark segraves talked with the people contained on that bus, but we begin with derrick ward, live at inova fairfax. derrick? >> well, jim, this is one of the scenes of what has been a massive response. sometimes that can be disconcertin but it should actually have the opposite effect. it's about redundancy and the pursuit of an abundance of first responders, the firefighte and emergency medical technicians who brought the sick woman to inova fairfax go through the decontamination prs in a tent set up outside the emergency entrance. >> we decontaminated three arlington count firefighters, we had four hazmat members do that. when those four members were done, we then decontaminated those fo members. so a total of seven members, four from us, three from orange county, decontaminated. and once that was done, we went ahead and decontaminated arlington county's medical unit. >> rep the h presence of emergency personnel is standard for these situations.

not necessarily an indication of the presence of the ebola virus. hazmat team and command center on site will stay here until the results are back. the patient was placed in isolation and according to county health officials, tests were being done to determine whether or a test to detect the ebola virus would be warranted. those tests can take up to six hours. really, that's what we're sitting here waiting on. right now we don't know what we have been exposed to. but certainly we took enough precautions and we're encapsulat suits and so we're comfortable. at the south lot of the pentagon, police cordoned off the portion where the woman became ill and threw up and hazmat crews came and cleaned the area. all measures in place, being taken out of an abundance of caution, given the woman's possible travel to wes. authorities also say investigate tea are working to locate anyone who may have had contact with th and we have some information now from the associated press, and they are quoting a military official on the condition of

anonymity. told this woman works for a lobbying and public relations firm called total spectrum. now, an official with that company says he has been contacted officia with the pentagon and with the department of defense on this person. he says this person has not left the washington area. all of that will be determined concisively once we get word from the hospital, which we are awaiting hopefully in the next few hours. we are live in falls church. of derrick ward, news4. thanks, derrick. the bus that woman was on left the pentagon before first responders knew about her alleged travel to west africa. by the time they did learn about it, that bus was across the river and in the district of columb. an that's where the current and retired marines who are on board were detained for several hou. that's where news4's mark segraves picks up th. >> reporter: well, wendy, things are back to normal now here on capitol hill, but a few hours ago, all these streets around me were closed down by police, and a bus carrying more than 20 former and active duty marines

was the focus of everyone's at >> it seemed like it was an e more i thoug about it, i thought hey, you know what, this is important. >> reporter: the bus carrying 22 former and current marines was headed to the marine barracks at 8th and i streets near capitol hill for a military ceremony. once it got here, it was stopped, and diverted to this side street. y we were being sort of put in lockdown for a period of time. and so it wasn't surprising to see the metro police come and again core done off the area. >> reporter: colonel dave la pan was one of 22 passengers on the bus detained for nearly four hours. >> people were surprised. you get here, you don't expect something like that to happen. so we were surpris to hear that. but understanding all of the concerns that have been expressed about ebola and things like that, understandable that, you know, they were taking precautions and we sort of got caught u in that. >> repor a team of

nih's isolation unit. pham is listed in fair condition now, but doctors tell us she will have her ups and downs as her body fights off the virus. >> we fully intend to have this patient wa out of this hospital, and we'll do everything we possibly can to make that . >> doctors are not revealing if pham will be given an experimental drug as part of her treatment, but say everything -- everything is on the table. a second nurse, amber vinson is hospitalized at emory universityl in georgia. and this evening a caribbean cruise ship is headed back to the united states, because of another ebola concern. mexican authori refused to let the carnival "magic" dock this afternoon after learning about a passenger. the state departm says the woman is a dallas health care worker who may have handled a specimen that belonged to the patient who d she left for this cruise last week before federal authorities issued any restrictions. she is now under a

complaints about men coming and going. inve seized two cell phones and a laptop, and that led to an even more disturbing discovery. as this search warrant document reveals, the phones contained videos and pictures. investigators say some showed juveniles, children involved in the photo-taking and filming of davis. investigators bel davis was using the images and videos to advertise her services. residents in the townhouse complex where davis lives are troubled by the allegaons. >> that would be very sad. >> reporter: is jailed without bond tonight. she pleaded guilty last month to the original prostitution charge. now she faces five counts of indecent liberti with children. i went to her home today and a man identifying himself as her husband answered the door and said he had no comment. most of the neighbors who live close by were only willing to speak to us off camera. but some say they were well aware of the police activity and

they saw the steady stream of customers in recent years. this woman has lived in the neighborhood sin 1976, but has never heard of a crime like this. >> it's spre i have watched the change. but it's mostly been alcohol, driving too fast, stuff like that. i've never heard of anything like this. and that's awful. >> reporter: coming up on news4 at 6:00, the unlikely group of people the sheriff's department is calling on to help with their case. in sterling, virginia, julie carey, news4. police are hoping that surveillan video will help find two people connected to a violent attack just a couple blocks from the verizon center. a warning that you might find this video a bit graphic. you can see a man and a woman walking into a parking garage in downtown, and then a few minutes later, a guy walks up to another man near the entrance, and beats him to the ground. the woman runs out a few minutes

later. this happened last month near ninth and f streets northwest. a federal judge has delayed the sentencing for virginia's former first lady, maureen mcdonnell. inst finding out her patient the same day as her husband, the former governor, bob mcdonnell, the judge pushed mrs. mcdone of sentencing to mid february. th were convicted after they accepted more than $165,000 in gifts, trips and loans from a businessman.> t marks five yeare a virginia teenager disappeared in charlottesville, and her parents say this year is much different. morgan harrin vanished back in 2009. police found her skeletal remains about 100 days later. morgan's parents say this year brings new hope that their daughter's case will be solved. investigators h said there is evidence linking morgan's case to the man accused of kidnapping . developing tonight, emergency in paradise.

we want to update our top story. health officials in fairfax and arlington counties in virginia say that woman who got sick outside the pentagon this morning touching off a bit of a scare does not have ebola. her case created a huge response, and, again, word this evening she does not have ebola. it's been open less than three months now, but work is already underway to extend the silver line. >> phase two. it's going to double the number of stations on the new line taking it to dulles airport and

beyond. tran reporter adam tuss is at the current end of the line, which is reston east. how is it looking? >> reporter: well, wendy, yes, it feels like we just got the first phase accomplished. but now we've got to get phase two to dulles international and into loudo coun. and the work on phase two starting to bec a lot more visi this is hard . huge concrete piers being built from scratch in the distance of e dulles airport. eventually, the rail line will run across the piers. here's what the airport station will look like and it will go past the airport, ending with two stops in loudoun county. >> i live in loudoun county, so i've been waiting for it quite some >> reporter: frank mills says once the rail line does come his way, he'll use it every day. >> it's probably the worst thing to do, is driving, and parking in d.c. is horrendous. so i would much rather just take

threatening bermuda and hawaii. voluee have spread out across hawaii, warning people about ana, just upgraded to a category 1 hurricane. that storm isn't expected to make landfall, but there is still concern of heavy rain, high waves and in some parts as high as 40 feet. hurricane gonzalo's winds already battering bermuda tonight. the center of the category 3 storm is not too far away from the island. people there are getting ready, boarding up their businesses and homes. forecasters say expect wind gusts up to 130 miles per hour, and some major flooding. they have had a tough season there. >> they really have. >> and we haven't. >> no, not at all. the east coast has been spared this year so far. but they have had two storms last week and now they've got that storm out there right now, gonzalo. and i'll tell you what, gonzalo very much like fabian in 2003. $300 million damage as far as that storm was concerned back in 2003 that are hoping it's not

quite as bad. take a look at this live picture now right out of bermuda. and it is really getting nasty. the latest wind gusts upwards of 101 miles per hour. that is right along the shore of the airport, officially reportg win close to 70 miles per now. and you can see where that storm is. hurric gonzalo now just down to the south. and it is making a bee line right towards the island. here is the eye of the storm. the best news about this is, it's weakening, at least just a little bit. and it's always better for a storm to be weakening as it makes its way towards land fall. right now winds 115 miles per hour, down from 145 where they were yesterday. so much, much big significance there. winds out of the north-northeast or moving north-northeast at 16. it will be across the island later tonight and it is out of there, making its way towards new foundland after this form. so once again, we're going to be watching this and probably seeing pictures out of bermuda the next couple days. storm team 4 radar, nothing in our area at all. we're not talking any chance of rain as we move through the rest of the evening. and we have seen a fantastic

going before health officials learned she had possibly traveled to west africa recently. now once that happened, the bus was stopped in southeast d.c., and all 22 people on board were evaluated. ev was told to self monitor for the next 21 days, pending the results of a blood test and evaluation of the woman. back at inova fairfax, first responders were decontaminated in a makeshift tent outside the hospital. today virginia governor terry mcauliffe announced a unified command group as part of an effort to safeguard against ebola. it will include several state agencies, inclu health and transportati, as wells other authorities. the state's health commissioner says this is all based on principles they use every single day, but with the unique aspects they're dealing with regarding ebola. they want to make sure their plans are up to date. that's it from the live desk. wendy? >> pat muse, thank you. tonight, maryland's governor says the state is ready in case of an outbreak there.
