for the captain of the ship and pushing for life sentences for three other crew members. the accused were among the first rescued when the ferry started sinking. it killed 300 people, most of them students. the families just voted to not recover the ferry from the site. we are learning new information about a shooting at the canadian capital. the gunman created a video before weapons's attack. they say that shows michael zehaf bibeau was drawn by ideological and political motives. he shot a canadian soldier and then entered parliament in ottawa before he was shot and killed. he recently converted to islam. a few days after that shooting, hundreds of first responders took part in a disaster response drill. as part of that drill, crews found a suspicious packaged that released a fake gas.

jesse matthew is still in jail. . today you can see prince george's county new slogan. county leaders will unveil it and launch a new ad campaign. the announcement will happen at 5:00 this afternoon at national harbor. you can go to a public hearing about the pike plan. they want to give a stretch of road between richard montgomery drive and bow avenue a makeover. it will include parks and much more open space. 7:00 p.m., rockville city hall. we want to thank everybody who came out for the walk to end hiv at freedom plaza. 5,000 people participated in the 5k walk and run. it was a terrific morning for this walk. $600,000 has been raised so far. the goal is to raise $1 million for whitman walker heating which provides accessible and comprehensive health care for those touched by hiv and aids.
