of a young athlete. good evening. i'm chris lawrence. four teenagers were inside the car when they had trouble and pulled over last night in the inner loop of the beltway. they were waiting for help when a woman crashed her jeep into their car. police say she may have been drunk. molette green has more. >> reporter: in the light of day you can see the massive impact of the halloween night crash. the rear left side of this honda accord took the brunt of it. that's where dominique petty of potomac was a passenger. the gonzaga high school senior was pronounced dead at the scene on the beltway near persimmon tree road. maryland state police say the honda was disabled and off the road on the shoulder around 2:00 a.m. when this gray jeep compass hit the car. yo acan see there is heavy damage to the right front side.

police say the driver, 24-year-old margaret baize drifted off the road struc e honda carrying dominique, three other juveniles and the driver. at this point in the investigat there is still a lot we don't know. maryland state police say the driver of the striking vehicle ap impaired at the scene and also had to be taken to the hospital for injuries she to the teen poured on to sociaas news spread. hours later mourners gathered at gonzaga. some of dominic's friends attended saint elizabeth's church where they added his name to the list of names for the mass. no one has been charged in the horrific accident that has a school communi mourning. >> just a few minutes ago the

head master of the high school posted on facebook that another student is in intensive care tonight and the other people in , a few minutes ago the school's football team tweeted today's game played with heavy hearts and in honor of a eagle. this crash happened hours before launches a major drunk driving enforcement campaign. we road along with maryland state police as they were gearing up for it. five sta troopers have been hit recently while conducting traffic stops. starting at 10:00 officers will fan out along the beltway and look for drunk drivers and make sure drivers obey the state's move over law. let's go to storm team 4. if you have looked outside today you know it is damp and cold. chuck bell joins us with an update. >> the clouds are starting to
