larry hogan won the state of maryland. just the seventh republican governor or will be since 1776. polls said that he trailed anthony brown by double digits. we caught up with him at his victory party in annapolis where the race was called. the first thing hogan said was wow. >> i know we surpassed every single county and precinct. every county was important. >> a ton of time in prince george's and montgomery county. i think it had a lot of impact. a lot of folks crossed over and voted for us. and i think it had a big part of our whip. >> hogan will hold a news conference on his victory in annapolis later this morning. >> hogan swept a big part of the state. he won all but three counties. they are all in our area where hogan's democratic rival won by a large amount. brown received 60,000 more votes in montgomery county and more

virginia. jerry connolly beat suzanne scholte with 11% of the vote. this morning, we're learning new information about a woman abducted off a street in philadelphia. the woman has ties to st. mary's county, maryland. a person of interest using her atm card at a convenience store in aberdeen. katie zachary is live in philadelphia. katie, good morning. >> reporter: good morning. police still don't know where the 22-year-old nursing aide is. but what they do have is video of her being bducted. and hours after she was taken from a philadelphia street corner, her stolen bank card was used in maryland. . she was last seen on the philadelphia street corner walking home sunday night. here's video of the moment before she was abducted. it shows the suspect approach her. look closely and you see him reach for her hand.

when the victim tries to get around him, he lunges and grabs her. another camera shows them struggling down the block. she is forced inside the car and driven off. the victim's bank card was used in aberdeen, maryland. a source close to the investigation saided the man who used it took out cash. sometimes later in the same shopping center a man appears inside a gas station convenience store. he purposefully walks to the back to the store, grabs a bottle of water and leaves all in under a minute. they dusted for fingerprints inside that store. >> she was raised in california, maryland. they wonder if her abductor is a former boyfriend. philadelphia police are not commenting on that. reporting live in philadelphia. katie zachary. back to you. 5:19 this morning. investigators are trying to determine what caused a fire that killed a mother and her

7-year-old daughter. mary and emily were trapped in their home in arlington. the husband was able to save their older 11-year-old daughter but he could not go back in to save the rest of the family. the home had no working smoke detectors. this morning police are looking for a man who escaped from a d.c. psychiatric ward. clayton walked out of the back door of a psychiatric facility off wisconsin avenue in northwest on monday. clayton was in a room where staff are not allowed. clayton is accused of attacking a police officer >> a judge will decide whether a woman charged with vandalizing the national cathedral should be committed. she is not competent to stand trial. a judge said she will probably not make an improvement any time soon. police arrested her in july 2013 for damaging two chapels with a can of green paint. she is being held in a

they failed to do this. they failed to turn in in. a vaccination fom. it shows they got their shots for the mumps, measles, whooping cough. parents, take notice. your child is within this group. know that from today on. your child will get five excused absences. after that truancy proceedings could ultimately end with court action against you. in a statement cool districts have said they have made extraordinary efforts to reach every student. but now parents need to be the ones to do their part. the count looked like 155 kindergartners. still not in compliance. the school district even before the school year started, they held a lot of outreach and free clinics. school has been out. classes have been out the last couple of days because of
