road, that is looking did as well. a live look at 270 and more on all of these crashes >> we'll see you then. 4:43. a montgomery county high school student is in the hospital in grave condition after being hit by a car. this hit and run happened in a shopping center near viers mill and randolph road. megan mcgrath has the latest on the student's condition. >> reporter: the student is in grave condition, fighting for his life in an area hospital. he is 17 years old and a student here at wheaton high school. police thought this was a basic hit and run. he was struck by a chevy avalanche near the shopping center at viers mill and randolph road in wheaton. the driver did not stay on the scene. just a few hours later, the driver and passengers in the avalanche turned up at the

police station and gave their version of what happened. police say there may have been an altercation between two small groups at the shopping center, which led to the 17-year-old being struck. they're looking into the possibility that this may have been an intentional act. investigators have not been able to talk to the 17 because he is in grave condition can. they just have the one account from the people in the avalanche. so they want to get an independent account of what happened. so police are looking for witnesses, anyone who may have been at that shopping center between unique thrift store and burger king around 7:00 last night. if you saw the two groups that may have been involved in the altercation or if you saw the actual accident, the striking of the 17-year-old you are asked to call montgomery county police. 4:34 now. today former prince george's county school bus driver will be cited for an incident that ended in a 6-year-old being run away.

in april, harris walked away from the hide point high school with four still on board. the bus rolled down the hill, trapping one child under the bus. deputies looking for a suspect in a bank robbery in loudoun county. he walked into suntrust bank last friday morning, halloween. he flashed a gun and demanded cash. he was last seen walking away from the bank. if you have any information, you're asked to call the sheriff. i'm molette green at the live desk. two pilots now confirmed dead after a national guard helicopter crashes. it all happened in idaho during a training mission. it's too early to tell what caused this apache combat chopper to go down 7:00 p.m. and it happened two miles south of the national guard base at

interview the off duty -- excuse me. police are still investigating what happened in the parking lot there. the off duty officers who confronted the man happened to be a couple that was shopping at the time. as for the suspect, investigators have not told us his condition. today a man in prince george's county faces life in prison without parole for killing his ex-girlfriend. he was convicted of slashing her neck inside her berwyn heights home in 2012. according to prosecutors, he crawled through a basement window and killed her because they broke up. 4:46. montgomery county teenager is facing charges for bringing a gun on school property. 18-year-old aaron anderson has been asked to stay away from richard montgomery in rockville early this week. yesterday a school security guard noticed him back on school

three men will be sentenced today for a drive-by shoot anything d.c. that hurt more than a dozen people. andrew allen, keith bob, arnell smith pled guilty to the march 2013 incident. the men opened fire on a group of people in 1200 north capital northwest. they tried to destroy evidence by burning the car used in the shooting. each man could spend 20 years in prison. a warning before you head out the door this morning. a woman was brutally a tracked on a trail many of you use to bike to and from work. the woman reportedly being grabbed from her bike. she told police a man in his teens or early 20s hit her repeatedly and stole her wallet. this happened wednesday evening between s and t streets in ef f-ington northeast. another bike rider says he's
