36 years old. prince george's county police say juan keniya could be driving an escalade with maryland tags. they think he shot and killed a man on red clay road near route 198. zachary kiesch spoke with a neighbor very worried about his safety. >> me and my wife just got home from a party. just talking to her and heard five shots. my wife thought it was somebody hanging up pictures with a ham ir. i was like, no, that's a gunshot. >> the apartments are quiet. it's a working class family oriented community. the kind of place daryl bullock wanted for his wife and son. >> for the most part, everyone knows each other. we help each other when it snows shoveling cars out. >> last night a different scene. five shots and one dead. it happened just before 10:30. >> so called the police and next thing you know, an rothey showe.

>> reporter: as daryl came down the stairs he saw a woman here crying and learned the shooting happened right over here. not a lot of space between apartments here and certainly as a husband, as a father, daryl is concerned. >> close to your own opaapartme? >> right underneath it. >> the victim, avilar, is a 37-year-old man with a hayetsville address. i went to the apartment complex but nobody swrd. in laurel, anaronda police posted outside the apartment all day. this couple pulled up in an suv but drove away when we asked for a comment. the shooting started with a dispute but the details of what happened inside that apartment that left one man dead and neighbors shook still unknown. >> do you stay or pack up? >> we have to stay for the moment. we're leaving as soon as our lease is up.

>> zachary kiesch, news 4. right now in northwest d.c., investigators are at the scene of a stabbing near rock creek park. it happened just a few hours ago on 14th and longfellow streets. paramedics rushed one victim to the hospital, and police are out looking for two suspects. police are also warning residents in northwest d.c. to stay alert after some man pulled off a string of armed robberies in georgetown. the men had guns and they've also targeted people in cathedral heights and along idaho avenue. they are holding people up for their smartphones and cash. derrick ward is live in northwest. what are you hearing from police out there? >> what we're hearing is they are putting the word out this is happening. this is kind of a residential neighborhood. a lot of people on food and especially late at night. people think that they want to get the word out because these two robbers are just getting a little too comfortable operating in this part of town.

>> one of the latest victims that recently spent time in rio de janeiro, a great city with a reputation. >> nothing ever happened. i was also prepared and nothing happened. >> reporter: it wasn't until he came here to d.c. that he became a victim. it happened here in the 3100 block of p street. he and his housemate passed two men on the street and thought something just wasn't right. in a few seconds their fears were realized. >> at a certain point the one on the left turns around with a gun and puts it in my friend's face. >> reporter: the first here in the 3700 block of macomb street and the latest in the 3000 block of idaho street. those who live nearby are already cautious. >> my mom and i, doesn't really let me go out this late. so i try to stay inside when it's late. >> reporter: the suspect descriptions are similar as are the times and general area.

enough to point to a pattern at least preliminarily. as for our victim -- >> you have to take it with a grain of salt. they are very much up to chance. i always walk a lot, especially in georgetown, dupont, in this neighborhood. i don't expect to stop doing that. >> the victim we talked to said he and his housemate got some of their belongings back. police still want to get the word out and other means to let people know they have to be extra vigilant in this part of town. derrick ward, news 4. back to you. a plane has gone down in virginia and one person is killed. a just located the single engine cessna today. it took off from frederick saturday. somehow it went way off course and crashed in the george washington national forest. the pilot was killed but a passenger survived. a fire burned through this

townhouse in silver spring. a candle is to blame. the fire broke out around noon in a second floor bedroom. the smoke detector was not working. everyone made it out okay but one woman had to be treated for smoke inhalation. damages could top $100,000. one man's storage shed exploded in westminster and now vpors say three homes in the neighborhood are no longer safe to live in. the blast was so strong the shockwave blew debris all over the naireighborhood and damaged homes. now they have to undergo an inspection before anyone is allowed to go back inside. bernard was walking into his storage shed when it suddenly blew up. he's in the hospital tonight with second and third-degree burns. they don't know what caused the explosion but for now they are calling it an accident. developing overseas, iraqi officials say an air strike has wounded the leader of the islaj

state. we don't know the xents of the injuries yet but they say abu bakar al baghdadi was injured. they put a $10 million bountsy on his head and they are still trying to confirm what condition he is in. two americans are spending their first days of freedom on american soil after being held in north korea. when they stepped off an airplane in seattle, their families were ready and waiting. it took a series of top-secret negotiations to get them out. beh is a missionary but was convicted of trying to overthrow the government. after two years in prison he's standing strong because of everyone who supported him. >> i just want to say thank you all for supporting me and lifting me up and not forgetting me. at the same time, also not forgetting the people of north korea. >> the u.s.'s top spy james clapper helped negotiate their rals and a senior obama

of student athletes were enrolled in bogus class designed to keep their grades up and keep them eligible to play. the university spokesperson is aware of mcadoo's lawsuit but won't comment until they review the claims. that is ebola survivor nina pham having fun during last night's football game at texas christian university, her alma mater. she said she's feeling pretty well and is overwhelmed by the outpouring of love. she was treated at the national institutes of health in bethesda before going back to texas about three weeks ago. it's expected to draw one of the largest crowds to the national mall in years. and right now, preparations are under way for the concert for valor. tonight, how you might be able to get a sneak peek at the performances before veterans day. plus -- fire, trapped inside. we meet the quick-thinking teenager who saved a police officer's life.

the door was slammed. it was dented and couldn't open. the car caught fire and me and another guy ran -- we didn't run, we were already there. he said he couldn't feel his legs. we said we're going to have to drag you through the window, and he was ready for it. >> that kid is 17 years old and said he knew what he had to do to save a police officer.
