in woodbridge, mark kegraves, news4. the man charged in hannah graham's disappearance is in fairfax county in connection with another case. jesse matthew was removed in charlottesville friday and will face two felony charges in a 2000 rape case in fairfax and is charged with the abduction of hannah graham. her remains were found nearly a month after she disappeared near virginia. take a look at this video, two homes in maryland are nearly gutted by fire, they're located at cypress hill court in waldorf breaking out near the end unit and spread to the townhouse next door. right now, we're working to learn what started the fire. no word on any injuries. we are tracking a developing story out of new york. harrowing moments this afternoon when two window washers got

stuck dangling off the edge of one world center, the tallest sky striper, more than an hour. they were dangling at a sharp angle, 69 stories above street level. there's a reason they call the men and women with new york fdny new york's bravest. they cut a six foot hole out of one of the brand new windows and slowly and carefully eased each worker off the scaffold. throughout the ordeal the window washers were tethered and told they were able to communicate with rescuers. we're learning more about the couple charged with a home invasion and double stabbing in mcclain, explaining the potential motive about this bizarre case. >> reporter: i'm dorothy spencer in fairfax county, we're right across the street from a house where a man and wife have been charged with a bizarre abduction and stabbing. we're told this all stems from a

murder case be going back to trial. they say the defendant deserves a new trial. levy disappeared in 2001. her remains were found in rock creek park one year later. she defendant is now serving a 60 year prison sentence. a man used an unusual tactic while robbing a store in the district. he waited in line behind a customer to buy snacks and then lunged in line. this happened about two weeks ago on sunday, october 26th. another person in the store confronted him but he ran out the door. no one was hurt. hackers from china breached the federal weather network recently. cybe cybersecurity teams were forced to seal off data vital to disaster plan, aviation and other uses. according to an investigation by the "washington post" it happened in late september but

we're learning today how a pilot miraculously survived that crash in the mohave desert. pilot peter sebold was thrown free of the rocket fired spacecraft before it broke apart. he was able to unbuckle his seatbelt before the fall to earth and his parachute opened automatically. his co-pilot was killed. his ship is designed to fly tourists to the edge of space. right now a spacecraft is sitting on an icy comet a galactic first. they are trying to determine the condition of the lander, so far so good. nbc's kieir simmons has more on

the historic journey and what they hope to discover. >> reporter: a stunning achievement on a spacecraft that cost about a billion dollars to make and sent to space 10 years ago. that vessel floated down to this comet. millions and millions of miles away it put out harons and mostly cloudy to grasp the surface of the comet meaning it is beginning to measure things like gases and the quality of that surface. it is already sending back signals and scientists are going to find that kind of evidence crucial. it's the first time they have been able to land on a comet and may discover things about the beginning of the universe and may be able to begin to think about what to do if a comet of this size is 2 1/2 miles wide was heading on a destructive path towards the earth.

>> oh, no. thanks. the grand jury in the michael brown case is still hearing testimony in suburban st. louis. a private forensic pathologist, who performed one of the three autopsies in brown is set to testify today. he was hired by brown's parents. according to one of their lawyers, they are pleased the grand jury will hear from an independent witness who is not connected to local law enforcement. the grand jury is trying to decide whether officer darren wilson should face manslaughter charges because brown was unarmed when he was killed in august. the man accused of kidnapping a maryland woman right off a philadelphia street faces a judge. what he had to say about the case that gained national attention and uncovered a disturbing case involving a virginia teenager. and a holiday season headache. we'll show you a mall making a critical decision about an endangered parking lot just as holiday shopping begins.

tonight, westminster residents will debate a proposed regulation by the board of health to ban the sail of all tobacco and nicotine products. if it passes, it would be the first of its kind in the nation. the board of health isn't supposed to vote on that until december 1st. drivers on the 5 freeway in los angeles got quite a shock as they passed this today. water was shooting 60 feet into the air from a damaged hydrant in griffith park. roads were closed a short time so crews could manage the water and try to shut off the valve. imagine watching burglars inside your house but you can't do anything about it because you're miles away in another state. that happened to a florida woman recently and she's still angry about it. that woman may not be the only victim. >> reporter: in a gated deerfield beach building, joan and her husband found a slice of snowbird paradise.

shooting death of the 16-year-old. police say it was drug related. now at 5:00, the mother of the victim says that is not true. mark segraves joins us a couple hours before a vigil is to take place. >> reporter: police are still searching for one last suspect, a juvenile they say they hope to have in custody later tonight. the four suspects and their victim were all at the end of this path in woodbridge high school when one of those suspects shot and killed brenden wilson. >> the loss of a child is the worst thing anybody ever can imagine. >> reporter: police have said drugs were at the center of this murder. do you believe this was a drug deal gone bad? >> a drug related robbery, yeah. >> reporter: brenden wilson's family praises police for their quick solving their son's murder, they say drugs had nothing to do with it. >> this is not drug related.

just because the person that shot him was a drug dealer does not mean this is drug related. i want the rumors stopped. i've heard a lot of bad rumors about this and that is not what happened. i don't know why these people killed my son. >> reporter: 16-year-old brenden wilson was a student at woodbridge high his friends and family say had been bullied in the past. >> he always made people smile. he was a troubled kid and got bullied a lot. i could relate to that and that's how he helped me. >> reporter: three suspects now in custody. one suspect, 20-year-old kawain smalls charge with pulling the trigger and the others charged with conspiracy including 18-year-old timothy wilson. the names of the other suspects have not been released because they're juveniles. police searching for one of those suspects. >> we're going to hopefully get one of the suspects today. >> reporter: they do know who
