from t live desk. >> details are emerging as we speak. we have just learned from police that the gunman was shot and killed in a confrontation with campus police officers. there are three other people who suffered some type of injury, have been taken to the hospital. one listed in critical condition. poli say that an fsu police ofr confronted the gunman just outside the library, made commands towar the gunman. the gunman refused to comply, fired shots at the police officer. that's when the police officer fired back, killing the gunman right there on the spot. now, it's not clear how many people were inside the library when the gunman first start today firing those shots into the night, into the early morning. a campus alert that was post, advising all the students in the area to take shelter immediately to avoid being near any windows and doors. the lockdown has just been lifted, but there's still a lot of police activity there. there's a news conference set
