wednesday after agents found a rifle, ammunition and a knife on alexander place northwest. he told agents someone told him to drive from iowa to d.c. for a meeting with president obama. today a judge could decide to drop charges against dozens of convicted criminals. an fbi agent is accused of tampering with evident from their indication, including taking guns and drugs. the agent's name is matthew lowry. he is under investigation right now. as many as 28 separate cases could be dropped today. today the university of virginia president will tackle claims of multiple rapes. the president suspended all greek university organizations and have hired a lawyer. >> today in montgomery county, a

substitute teacher accused of sexually abusing students will be in court. right now he is being held on $150,000 bond. charged with sex abuse of a minor in four separate cases. several female students have come forward saying i touched them inappropriately between 2004 and 2014 at different montgomery county schools. angie goff at the live desk. crews are searching through rubble after a three-story building collapses in chicago. half a dozen firefighters digging in the rain. a hearing all floors were pancaked. two women and a dog were rescued. we hear some kind of explosion happened before this collapse. 4:35. after another abyss mal game, discussions turn back to rg3.

we're continuing to look back on the life and legacy of d.c. mayor for life marion barry. he passed away early yesterday morning at the age of 78 from heart problems. reaction continues to pour in from those who knew barry personally. carol schwartz released a statement saying, "i, like others, thought marion barry was invincible. marion personified d.c. and his passing is a great loss to all of us. >> we are also getting reaction from barry's long-time nurse. she said it meant a lot to her that he made it home before he passed away. >> he was talking. it was just natural cause. >> our coverage of marion barry's legacy continues to nbcwashington.com. we have more reaction to his death and an interview with the former mayor where he responds to his critics.
