new evidence that it doesn't take a concussion to cause problems in football players. they found after just one season, some players had changes in the white matter of their brain. that is consistent with a mild brain injury but none suffered a concussion. it's not clear what the long-term the ex of this type of damage might be. . half of u.s. parents say their babies sleep with pillows, blankets and other loose bedding despite recommendations not to use them according to a new survey from the cdc. removing loose bedding is one easy way to reduce their risk of suffocation and sudden infant death syndrome or sids.

15 before the hour. longer waits and more crowded trains. metro says that's what could be in store for your commute if local governments don't pay up. richard jordan live at the rosslyn metro station with how a new budget proposal could impact your commute. richard? april, it's exactly the kind of thing that metro riders don't want to hear. having to wait longer on the platforms for the trains to come. once it does arrive, it is packed. it's a real possibility if they can't get subsidies from local deposits the eight cities and

counties that the traffic system here, it would be about 10 to $15 million that they would have to make up. they say the riders would eventually pay the price. because on weekend trains won't come for about 15 to 20 minutes. that's the amount of time in between trains. it about 12 to 15 minutes. it would go up to 15 to 20 minutes. during peak times, six minutes to eight minutes with the exception of the blue line because they already run slower with a little more time in between the trains. the more people that will be waiting on the platform. two stations could see overcrowding, rosslyn and then metro center. still a lot of debate, a lot of back and forth to go on. jurisdictions will be able to weigh in and see if they are willing to come in at a lower price. it is still a long way from a done deal. this would be for july that the fiscal year would start.

nationwide children's hospital in ohio say injuries are on the rise. younger children can choke on small toys. they are warning about children falling off rides like scooters. >> that usually results in the cuts to the face or head and sometimes fractures or broken bones. >> the child is treated every three minutes for a toy-related injury. the toy industry responded saying that "toy related injuries are those associated with but not necessarily caused by a toy." an unruly passenger delayed a plane in connecticut. this passenger apparently had four years. us airways say a woman had to be escorted off after her pig became disruptive last week. there's the pig. another passenger said the pig didn't smell so good, which you would expect for a pig. then it became incontinent.
