officials issued an ice storm warning until tomorrow morning. >> it's now headed our way. we have a winter weather advisory. >> i think tomorrow as this starts just about everybody will see at least some sleet around the area. it will not last long though. this is not a system i'm too concerned about. as you just talked about, that rain that we're watching move our way is towards missouri back down towards texas and even atlanta. there will be enough cold air in place that we will see some sleet and ice. not around the d.c. metro area as far as problems go. the only area we could see those problems is where we do have that winter weather advisory. frederick county hagerstown and back down towards west virginia. i'm going to show you who i

think has the best chance to see this when it comes through. and then i'll show you how temperatures skyrocket and then come crashing right back down. and just into our newsroom new photos of two men who are wanted in connection to the stabbings at mcfaddens last weekends. five people were stabbed at that bar in foggy bottom saturday night. mcfaddens had to shut down and lost its like kor license -- james brady died in past summer but the medical examiner said his death was directly related to being shot in 1981 and ruled it a homicide. officials reopened the case against john hinkley. he will not face any new charge.

problem. thunderstorms just ripped through here and it's slowing the entire recovery process down quite a bit. we've learned that president obama called senator hairy reed at the hospital and wished him a speedy recovery. he was using an exercise resistance band at his home when it snapped yesterday. reed fell down and broke several ribs but we're told he hit some other exercise equipment as he was falling and he broke multiple bones near his right eye eye. he was released from the hospital today and his office says he's going to head back to d.c. this is not his first time getting injured while exercising. in may of 2011 he slipped while running in the rain. he returned to the senate floor just days later with his right arm in a sling and a large

. we're getting closer to seeing some big changes to the white house grounds. the secret service is meeting behind closed doors with the two government agencies that would have to approve raising the fence. in a story, scott says there is new pressure coming from congress to make some very specific changes. >> reporter: the secret service has been under scrutiny for weeks about whether it should raise the white house fence to prevent this from happening again. you'll recall a man recently jumped the fence and darted through the white house front door. we learned the secret service staff has met in two recent days with two agencyies that would have to green light any changes. no formal questionsrequests we're told but it's still possible a plan

already had and none of those have had a major impact on the area. this one is happening on a saturday so once again you can kind of go i really don't want to leave the house today. 44 degrees. so that tells you we're not dealing with any wind right now. wind will be a factor though as we make our way over the next few days. it's chilly but that's what we expect this time of year and temperatures today were at or a little bit above average during the average. you have to go way down towards the southwest to see that moisture streaming in. and he is that moisture back towards arkansas back towards missouri. as temperatures continue to cool we'll get down towards that freezing mark. that's why we have that winter weather advisory. but once again, does not include

the d.c. metro area. i do think we i'm'll see sleet even around d.c. but it should not cause any problems. back to the west and freezing rain maybe a tenth of an inch in some locations. so use caution. we could see some of those roads get a little bit on the slick side. but again i don't think this will be a huge deal. when you look at the shower activity come through around 8:00 this isn't a wide spread area of rain moving in. this is going to be pockets and periods of rain. it could be all sleet at the start, even sleet inside the d.c. metro area. then as we warm by around noon. down around fredericksburg not seeing that rain and then in the afternoon it's just showers. tomorrow is a great day to stay indoors and maybe take the

decorations down. future weather showing on sunday. we had some showers early in the morning and then we start to see them get out of here before another little round on sunday. most of sunday will be dry. showers that move through will also create a little bit of windy conditions. we'll see temperatures that are skyrocketing. but overnight tonight they're on the cool side. 30 in martinsburg. high temperatures tomorrow afternoon, upper 30s to lower 40s so with temperatures like this the roadways should not be much of a problem, especially those primary roads. saturday afternoon your travel wet roads, that's really about it. exercise could be a little tough outdoors. but you may be able to get it in this between showers. temperatures on sunday up to 66 degrees. and you say, hey, nice and warm

at reagan national news4. some big changes are coming at one stop on the red line. next week they will install six new escalators. that project is expected to last three years. at any given time two of the escalators will be shut down. they went into service more than 30 years ago. metro is tracinge ing trying to replace its oldest escalators. a man had a metal turn signal rev moved frommoved from his arm after 51 years. his other injuries were so severe that the doctors never noticed the turn signal embedded in him. he first found out about it 15 years ago after setting off a metal detector but only had it removed this week after it

threatening injuries. >> reporter: police are hoping that the witness accounts from that party will lead to the arrest of the two suspects in these stabbings. we're getting some new details details tonight about a man gunned down in a parking lot in prince georges county. he was killed in a shoot out. police say he does not live there. powell was arrested at reagan national airport last year after he was stopped at a security checkpoint with a loaded gun. whoever shot him yesterday, still on the loose. fairfax county police may have trouble identifying a man who robbed a bank this morning. he was wearing a fake beard. pulled a gun, demanded money from the teller and got in a vehicle driven by another guy and the two took off.

there's a renewed plea to drivers in virginia if you see lights flashing on the side of the road move other. this comes after a tow truck driver was hit and killed while doing his job earlier this week. >> aj is a family man and his check supported his family. >> reporter: aj worked hard to send money back home to his wife and children. he was a tow truck driver for fairfax towing and recovery. this was his truck. >> the tow driver had a family and kids and lost his life. >> reporter: he was hooking up a disabled vehicle when he was hit by a box truck. the 34-year-old truck driver who hit him crossed onto the shoulder. police say that driver's brakes were bad. he's charged with wreck edd with reckless
