antipolice gra fity put up. tonight, officers on alert. another week another popular club shut down after a stabbing. find out why this investigation is different. a local politician running into trouble with the law. what she did and why it landed her behind bars. one week, two stabbings and another d.c. hot spot shut down. last night in foggy bottom at the nightclub. it's a few blocks from mcfadden's where five people were stabbed last week.

>> reporter: the scene, just after 1:00 a.m. saturday a fight broke out between two men at an event. one of the men stabbed. his condition is unknown. police arrested a 35-year-old of northeast d.c. and charged him with assault with intent to kill. by saturday evening, police declared the restaurant temporarily closed just like an establishment on pennsylvania avenue mcfadden's. on december 27 five people were stabbed. police have pictures of two men they are calling persons of interests in the mcfadden's multiple stabbings. this restaurant will stay closed for the next 72 hours to review if the closure needs to be extended. in northwest, derrick ward news 4. police in prince george's county are on alert after

someone posted this in laurel. it says quote, kill cops. it was put up outside the fox fire apartments. a police lodge put it on their facebook to warn police officers. a lot of police are on edge since two police were executed. >> forced to fire his gun after this man tried to run him over. the sheriff's department says he broke into a woman's home. he assaulted her, stole her car and tried to ram a deputy's cruiser. the deputy fired one shot and missed. the officer is on routine administrative leave. a woman finds herself on the wrong side of the law. a prince county police officer stopped williams for a minor traffic violation.

williams is an elected councilmember there. she was driving under a suspended drivers license and failed to appear in court. she was handcuffed arrested and then released. new tonight, the nearly six-week search for a missing college student is over but there's a lot of questions like why did he end up dead in a river and how? shane montgomery was a student at westchester university in pennsylvania. last month, divers found his keys in a river outside philadelphia. today, they recovered his body ten feet offshore. his mom talked to the public today and fought back tears. >> today, we have done what we have promised. we have found and we have brought shane home. we want to thank everyone for their support and prayers and love and ask they continue to pray for our family at this trying time. >> local police and fbi agents are investigating shane's death.

season arrives. >> thanks amelia. another setback for d.c. streetcars. this photo is circulating on twitter. a streetcar t-boned a vehicle. d-dot says it was going under 10 miles an hour and nobody was hurt. they pushed back the opening until january 19th. they say today's accident will not affect that opening. they are calling it an unimaginable tragedy and a miracle. a little girl survived a plane crash that killed her parents, sister and cousin. somehow, she managed to climb out of the plane and walk through the woods barefoot and bloody. then the 7-year-old showed up at a stranger's door asking for help. dan has more. >> reporter: it was the first sign anything was wrong, a knock at the door friday evening. >> i answered the door and a little girl 7 or 8 years old,

standing there bleeding, legs all scratched up arms all scratched up. she said her mom and dad were dead and she was in a plane crash. >> reporter: the 7-year-old survived the crash and walked through the cold and woods looking for help for her family. >> a 7-year-old came out of the woods alone. >> it took two hours to locate the plane. killed in the crash, her parents. her 9-year-old sister and 14-year-old cousin. >> it's a miracle she survived but also the fact that she, you know didn't suck come to exposure or hypothermia. >> reporter: the plane took off from key west florida and went to mt. vernon illinois. they reported engine trouble. marty was a pilot for 30 years.

the doctor may have cleared a pregnant woman to fly, but her baby had other ideas.

this mom-to-be wasn't due until march. she got on a plane and then you guessed it she went into labor. a pediatrician happened to be on board. they cleared two rows of seats and the doctor took care of her. they had to make an emergency landing in salt lake city. mom gave birth to her first baby and said next time she'll do things differently. >> i'm going to not fly during my next pregnancy. just to be on the safe side. >> she wasn't negligent. the baby was born ten weeks premature. she had a beautiful baby boy. doctors say he's doing okay. a bizarre rescue in california. firefighters spent two hours helping a woman trapped in a chimney. her feet covered in soot and dangling in the photo. no word on how she got stuck. the homeowner says the woman is

the mother of children and she doesn't live there. all right, coming up next on news 4, a group of local college students searching for a new place to live after their home burst into flames. this fire could have been worse. a change of temperature is on the way.

prince george's county investigators say six studentings are lucky to be alive after their house burst into flames while they were sleeping. the smoke detectors likely saved their lives. they went to the university of maryland. we have incredible pictures of

this fire. >> reporter: a ball of fire lit up the night. flames took over the house on dart mouth avenue in college park. >> my husband woke me up at 4:30 and said the house next door is on fire. >> he took pictures after calling 911. >> it was very scary. the flames were intense. the whole back of the house was engolfed in flames. >> reporter: six university of maryland students escaped. firefighters got out because they thought it would collapse. they fought the fire from the outside, knocked down the flames and went back in. a firefighter was hurt. >> he was transferred to the hospital where he was treated and released. >> reporter: crews boarded up window windows. they think it started in an upstairs family room. smoke alarms woke them up. >> the law requires working smoke alarms. the city of college park does a

tremendous job ensuring rental homes have a multiple amount of smoke alarms. >> reporter: the red cross is helping them. >> initially, we were worried about them. glad to hear they got out. >> reporter: in college park, clisen right, news 4. conditions were so bad in one city the salt trucks couldn't stay on the road. a truck in pennsylvania spun out of control this morning and slammed into a house. fortunately, the family was upstairs when the truck barrelled into their living room and no one was hurt. the salt driver will be okay. hard to believe, salt truck drivers in our area are going to get fired up the next week or so. >> maybe tuesday morning. snow is in the forecast. it's light and north of washington. i know a lot of snow lovers are saying are we going to get snow this winter? there is some on tuesday.
