warrenton renton. this is not snow but heavier ice come do you think in fairfax county prince william we'll see this change to sleet and rain moving overnight as warmer air is pumped into this system. but we are still seeing a lot of moisture from this. some of you from d.c. town to the south and east where we're going to see mostly rain will see mostly half an inch to an inch of rain. this will affect everybody, not just folks dealing with the winter weather, also a big impact down to the south and east. winter weather advisory includes fairfax county montgomery county prince william county and everybody to the west. too warm around anne arundel and those areas. back towards frederick county virginia washington county this is where the winter storm warning is in effect. we could see 2 to 4 there.

we'll continue to watch this throughout the night. the hope is pretreated roads in northern virginia will hold up to the snow sleet, rain ice tonight. vdot crews were out in full force for hours getting the streets in arlington, fairfax, prince william counties. about 500 trucks are out right now ready to retreat roads as the snow falls. crews will be out again on sunday night as well. they ask everybody to slow down if you have to be out. he spent more than 30 years teaching special education students in bethesda. tonight that teacher's career is over after he was indicted on child pornography charges. derrick ward is live outside of bethesda chevy chase high school with more. >> reporter: by all accounts a popular teacher. none of the charges with which he is charged or is facing are believed to have had anything to do with the school.

none of this happened on school prop he did make his first appearance today in federal court. >> federal prosecutors charged 61-year-old peter flynn with one charge of child pornography and one count of distribution of child porn. the charges stem from a search warrant executed at flynn's montgomery county home back in september. the 37-year veteran of the county school system has worked at bethesda chevy chase high school since 1978 first as a substitute teacher, he became a special education teacher in 1980, a position he held until last september, the same month the search warrant was served at his home. his attorney says flynn had been trying to turn himself in before police arrested him. >> we wish they hadn't but -- and we attempted to head that off because he's been cooperative in trying to contact them. i've tried to contact as i said in court the maryland state police unit and the troopers involved and they simply refused to call us back.

>> reporter: a spokesman for the school system says that flynn was moved to an administrative position once they learned of the investigation and upon his arre earlier this week he was placed on administrative leave. the charges presented in federal court today do not touch on any illicit contact among flynn and students at the school. that's been emphasized by the school administration and the attorney for the accused. >> the allegations not only don't involve student, they don't involve contact with any human being. this is simply view pornography. >> reporter: now, the distribution charge carries a minimum of five years and a maximum of 20 years. that is a mandatory minimum. the possession charge carries up to ten years in jail as well as supervised lifetime release. now, montgomery county schools have had to deal with this sort of topic a number of times over the past few months. there's ban past case of a teacher's aide and a substitute teacher who faced charges for having illicit contact with a student. coming up on news 4 at 6:00 we

will talk about the notification noti what the teacher, the principal here did to let parents know this had happened and also the timing of that notification. live in montgomery county derrick ward news4. someone brought a gun to a school in prince george's county today. now at the live december sk pat lawson muse with details. >> wendy and jim, we are learning a sophomore at bowie high school took a loaded gun to school today. that student was pulled out of class when administrators were warned by another student about this. the 16-year-old's backpack was searched and police say a a .40-caliber gun was in there. the boy was charged with possession of a handgun, but police say the weapon was never pointed at anyone or used as a threat. back to you. the man suspected in two high-profile murders of virginia college students was just ruled out in a third case involving a young woman. prosecutors tell us they found no credible evidence to link jesse matthews to the tis appearance of 17-year-old alexis

murphy outside of charlottesville. a man named randy taylor has been convicted of that murder. matthew is in fairfax awaiting trial for a 2005 rape. prosecutors say he's been linked by forensic evidence to the murders of hannah graham and morgan harrington. a rolling feud between two drivers ended with gunfire in loudoun county. our northern virginia bureau chief julie care is flye countryside with details on an extreme case of road rage. >> reporter: that intersection just ahead there is where the incident began, route 7 and city center boulevard. drivers we talked to today aren't shocked just because there was road rage gunfire but because it happened in broad daylight. >> people yelling and flipping you the bird but, you know, it happens. it happens especially around here with all the traffic. >> reporter: melissa says that's what she typically associates with road rage on busy route 7 but thursday's incident way beyond that.

loudoun county sheriff's investigators say it started when the victim pulled on to route 7 west from city center boulevard near the dulles town center. at first suspect's car was tailgating the victim. then he pulled alongside and began yelling. gestures were exchanged, then the victim heard gunshots. the suspect's car exited onto the loudoun county parkway. when the victim discovered bullet holes in his has jer side rear door he called the sheriff's office. >> i'm in shock. i can't believe in the middle of the day somebody's going to pull out a gun and shoot just because they didn't let him over they, you know, were tail fwaet ingteingtailgating. that's insane. >> reporter: other drivers share melissa's outrage. this 21-year-old doesn't drive partly because of the sometimes crazy traffic. >> it's a little bit intimidating because it's just driving, man, all trying to go to one place. >> reporter: as for melissa, she tries to ward off tailgaters with this message on the back of her suv. >> try to give everybody her

space and i like to have the same courtesies you know respect my space and i'll respect yours. >> reporter: the suspect also had a female passenger with him yesterday. the victim describes the suspect vehicle as older model green in color, something like a honda sikh. coming up on news 4 at 6:00 we'll talk to a guy who drives for a living about how he avoids road rage incidents. live in loudoun county i'm julie carey, news4. a hit and killed this morning in landover and prince george's county police say other drivers may have run over the body. the woman was crossing landover road near matthew henson avenue before dawn when she was struck and killed. there is no crosswalk in that area. neighbors say they need a red light there to give pedestrians and cars enough time to cross the street. >> i've seen too many people come out here trying to cross this highway and dodging cars. we've seen cars accident after accident. woke up in the middle of the night, early in the morning,

zinlt accidents on the street. >> the driver who hit the pedestrian this morning did remain on the scene. tonight we expect to hear from d.c.'s homeland security department about its findings into last week's deadly smoke incident beneath l'enphant plaza. transportation reporter adam has been on the story all week and joins us live outside the wilson building where the department will release its report. ed a tsunami. >> reporter: this report will focus on the communication issues that day. of course we know that d.c. fire was having trouble with its radios inside l'enphant plaza. this report should spell out why. now, among the issues that will be looked at what happened in a control room at 1 judiciary square in northwest. it's in that room that metro says d.c. fire officials changed communication switches without telling metro. and metro says it's quite certain that's why d.c. fire radios were not able to function inside metro's tunnels during the episode. something else we'll be

watching, if tcd.c. fire radios would r couldn't work in l'enphant plaza, were they also not working in the entire metro system? this report should give a better picture. acting gm jack requa talked about trust and communication with d.c. fire. >> hopefully we would cooperate in that manner and maybe they felt there was no changes, the changes they made would not impact the communications but we could not find any troubles on our side we went to them and they notified us of what they did and we made the changes. >> reporter: one thing we should say, metro and d.c. fire both say the communication issues have been resolved so everything working in the system. again, we will bring you this report when it becomes available. reporting live at the wilson building adam tuss news4. >> we now know the name of the man who was shot and killed on a 23-year-old tyrone archer jr. lived in laurel a few blocks from where he was murdered. chopper 4 flew over the scene yesterday on imperial drive. no arrests and there is a

$25,000 reward offered for information. heroin is becoming an epidemic in one maryland county and as we've been reporting over the past year it's not in the back alleys of bad neighborhoods. it's becoming more mainstream with younger more affluent users. anne arundel county executive steve shoe says he will declare a public emergency next week. shoe says heroin is a problem with people of every age, income and race. he tells the gazette there were 26 heroin deaths in the first half of last year on average one a week, a big increase from 2013. a task force is now working on offering solutions. a school fight in arlington county over the location of a new elementary after a five-month study. a group appointed by the school board is revealing its recommendation tomorrow for a new elementary school to be located close to thomas jefferson middle school along old fwleeb road. that area is currently a park. the proposed plan calls for

keeping the woods at the eastern enl and keeping all the current recreational facilities including two full-sized fields. a group called save t.j. park opposes any school on this site. residents can comment on the plans at tomorrow's board meeting. major changes could be coming to one of our area's most congested travel corridors. vdot says it wants to put new high occupancy toll lane on i-66 inside and outside the beltway to offer commuters a way around congestion. the system would be similar to the new beltway and 95 expressway lanes except the 66 lanes would only be in toll mode during rush hour. vdot is hosting a series of public meetings next week to lay out its plans. seeing more and more of these. take a look at this. potholes. i'm david culvert in arlington. coming up why it may be some time before your commute gets a

our northern virginia reporter david culvert is live with bumpy roads. >> reporter: watching drivers e today, scenes like this for them are part of the norm, but the question remains why aren't they getting fixed? welcome to virginia. it's not as smooth as it could be. the stretch just before and coming off the key bridge among several streets plagued with potholes. >> that part right there is real rough.

>> reporter: nikki spend most of the day on the road for work. he's tired of the rocky ride. >> i've had a few of them that feel like it's taken my front end from under me. >> reporter: tough on your tires too. amelia segal explains why so many are forming. it starts with normal traffic. >> then you get moisture that falls into the tracks. when you get temperatures overnight like we all can do in winter that drop below 32 degrees, that moisture freezes, and when water freezes it expand. >> reporter: as temperatures rise the ice melts and the pavement caves. why aren't they being filled? it come downs the resources and materials. road crews are gearing up for the winter weather so they can't be repairing the roads unless it's an extreme pothole. and harry says it's too cold for the plant that makes the stronger patches. >> when the plant opens we use a hot mix and that's a permanent patching of the pothole and more

durable than the cold mix. >> reporter: for some we caught up with the pothole problem, well doesn't really pose a bother. >> i've had no problems at all and i drove in from new jersey. >> reporter: ahead at 6:00, a look at the prime pothole time. when you can expect it to be at its worst, plus we'll give you an idea as how crews in this area and our region, northern virginia in particular are preparing for what we're dealing with right here, this wintry mix headed our way. live in arlington, david culvert, news4. right now, one of the main travel routes in and out of d.c. from montgomery county is open again. that eight-inch water main that broke last night near river road in bethesda well they have closed up for a while. crews had to wait for a while to repair it because there was a natural gas line that burst in the area. river road had to be shut down between western avenue and little falls parkway but it did reopen within the past hour so godspeed. crews also wrapped up work on a separate water main break

in prince george's county this afternoon. take a look, in this case we're told a connection burst between fire hydrant and a 24-inch main causing water to gush out onto the street and the sinkhole to form there. this one was along old atlas road near church road in bowie. cold rain and sleet is what's headed our way from north carolina heavy rain hit the peadn't area this morning, closing several schools early. it's expected to continue raining there into tomorrow and that storm already arriving here. and in what form is it coming in at this point? >> every form. it really is. i just walked outside. we have sleet, snow and freezing rain. the only thing we don't have is -- i'm sorry -- regular rain. freezing rain is the one thing we don't have. sleet is the one that will come down and bounce bounce off your car, off the road. i believe this is route 7 toward loudoun county where right now we're dealing with a mixture of sleet and snow.

take a look at the radar out there. storm team 4 radar showing that snow coming down into places like the faulkier county area warrenton, manassas, fairfax county loudoun county montgomery county frederick county. to the south and east. looks like all rain. but i asked you to let me know what you're seeing. this is falling as snow and a too. this is not rain. the radar not picking this up very well. but we are seeing some fairly heavy snow coming down into parts of the region, down towards culpepper, received a picture from facebook talking about accumulation already. that will be the scenario tonight. but was because of that warmer air, especially warmer air in the upper levels of the atmosphere we'll see snow change over the some sleet and just some regular plain old rain. if you're going out tonight, it is going to be simply a mess around the region. we've got a lot more rain to make its way through here. go on out, make sure you take the umbrella with you because we're talking a mixture of rain and snow and sleet at 7:00 plain rain at 9:00 and around

11:00 as temperatures fall through the 30s. that's where they are right now. that's why washington was taken out of the winter weather advisory. temperatures are still near 40 degrees. 37 in gaithersburg 39 in martinsburg, 36 in manassas. even though we are seeing snow and sleet out of this we won't be seeing it stick on the roadways anytime soon. we have that winter weather advisory in the areas of purple here including the i-95 corridor off to the west. little bit of snow here. back to the north and west this may stay snow longer and thatwhy the national weather service has the winter storm warning in effect for washington county martinsburg, winchester and off to the west. snow totals mostly rain toward the south although you may end the snow n inch in d.c. this is really coming from tomorrow as we get snow on the backside. 1 to 2 leesburg up toward frederick and down the south, maybe 2 to 4 back towards the west if it stays all snow back towards this area. future weather showing it to us very well.

8:00, the rain, the sleet that's coming in with a little bit of snow but by 11:00 i expect everybody to be almost all rain with the exception of back towards the north and west. this computer model not really picking it up. tomorrow 7:00 a.m. we start to see a break before the rain and the snow come back in across our region. so we might see a little accumulating snowfall during the day tomorrow. high temperatures 41 degrees on your saturday 45 on sunday. now, sunday will be dry for the most part. but then our next system moves in. that one is going to have the potential to drop a lot of snow on portions of our region. it's a clipper system. right now i think we'll see significant delays on monday and that does include school delays and closings as i am expecting snow overnight sunday into the day on monday then it is just plain cold winter finally getting here and sticking around far while. guys? hundreds of people ignored the cold air to take a dip in the chesapeake bay at sandy point. today's dive kicked off a weekend of festivities for tomorrow's 19th annual maryland

state police polar bear plunge. more than 7,000 people are planning to go back to the bay tomorrow to raise money for the special olympics in maryland. with water temperatures at a frigid 35 degrees, crews will be there to make sure everyone gets in and out safely. taxpayers footed the bill for pricey seafood meals for the school board in prince george's county. now new action is being taken after a news4 i-team investigation revealed what was being done with county credit cards. a snatch-and-go. police want to help crooks stealing cell phones as the number of cases escalate in one local neighborhood. and a virginia woman decided to make a personal decision very public. later, doreen gentzler explains why she's sharing her story about freezing her eggs with the world.

another body found in the chars ashes of the annapolis mansion. that just leaves one. six people were inside when that fire started early monday morning. they include four children. tonight we're learning more about those kids 8-year-old charlotte boone, loved making videos with her guinea pig oreo and her brother wes loved the beach and dreamed of pro bots. lex and katy boone loved ice-skating and their new baby

brother. four cousins were spending the night with their grandparents don and sandy pyle when that mansion burst into flames. the school board in prince george's county is cutting up its own taxpayer-funded credit cards. that decision comes in the wake of a news4 i-team investigation. the board voted unanimously to do so last night with the president saying a new system to handle expenses will be finalized in the coming weeks. our investigation revealed some board members spent thousands of taxpayer dollars on pricey meals and hotel rooms within minutes of home. tonight on news4 at 6:00 the school board's president explains the decision and our scott mcfarlane details how the board will cover its meals and transportation costs in the future. the d.c. police are looking for two young people in connection with robberies in the area near wilson high school and alice dale middle school near tinley town. people who live in that area say there were at least four cell phone snatch and grab robberies

a driver who flees a scene is supposed to be teaching others about the rules of the road. >> deflategate developments. first the nfl now the white house is weighing in on the new scandal that puts the integrity of the game on the line. watching our storm as it continues to move in. areas of rain and snow right now, winter weather advisories and winter storm warning. we've got it all coming up. a mother and daughter found murdered in prince george's county back in 2009. now police believe the same man killed another mother and daughter. >> and that story is now the subject of a special "dateline" tonight. our county bureau reporter darcy spencer has new information in this investigation. >> he was your modern-day boogeyman. >> reporter: he is jason scott, the man responsible for two mother/daughter murders in

prince george's county several ago. >> he was someone that people had nightmares about. he was the one they make horror movies about. >> reporter: never before seen video obtained by "dateline nbc" shows that scott was a voyeur too. he'd shot a dozen women, getting dressed and undressed and didn't even know they we being videoed through their blinds or win toes. >> he's a predator. there poster child for psychopaths it's him. >> reporter: but jason scott was able to commit dozens of crimes without being detected home invasion robberies, break-ins and murder. many didn't see this u.p.s. worker for man he really was. >> he was soft and mild-mannered when he wasn't wearing a mask or brandishing a handgun. he was a very intelligent person went to college. >> reporter: despite hundreds of police hours being put into the case detectives still don't know what the motive was for the crimes. scott refuses to talk.

seen is 38 degrees for the road temp around frederick, maryland. so for the early evening and even the late evening i think we'll be fine. >> the snow and the rain the roads should be okay the rain will come down at a pretty good clip. switching to rain in fredericksburg and portions of southern maryland. you could pick up a half inch to an inch of rain including d.c. metro area. notice the snow here. loudoun county fairfax county snow towards gaithersburg down to the south, quantico reporting snow culpepper. that's that little area culpepper reporting snow. all is still a mixture of rain sleet, and snow coming across our region. that's why we have ther weather advisory in effect until noon tomorrow. what we'll see tomorrow is a change back over to more snow on the backside of this.

winter storm warnings back farther to the west. as we've talked about, temperatures today 42 for a high and that will have an impact on the weather overnight. >> that's right. seeing accumulation of snow on decks and patio, not on the black top. most roads are fine until early morning. most of the roads. early tomorrow morning we could see more snow for several hours. that is our best chance. the temperature then 35 degrees for your drive time forecast saturday then a little bit of mixing with a high of 41 as the storm system pulls out of here. doug? >> then we look towards our next storm system so we have a little tomorrow morning and on sunday night the real storm moves in as far as the snow is concerned. i think everybody, including our folks down to the south and east will have a good chance for snow coming up on monday morning. we'll talk more about that in just a minute. >> doug thank you. someone shot a security guard at the maryland good will store and tonight police are

still looking for the person who pulled the trigger. the guard was hit four times at this shop along woodsborrow pike. the vicktim is in the hospital recovering. goodwill industries is moving forward to address safety for all employees. >> events of last night are heartbreaking. we feel for our employee our community. our staff is very much affected by this. >> no word on a possible motive. she was once his lawyer then his live-in lover, and even though a montgomery county judge is the alleged victim in a dramatic kidnapping case she's the one who faced accusations today in court. news4's chris gordon has our report. >> reporter: lawyers for the man charged with kidnapping audrey creighton attacked the judge's credibility. the defense subpoenaed the judge's cell phone and emails saying they're evidence the judge had drugs in her home, is

lie, and trying to get another witness to lie at the upcoming trial next month. but at today's court hearing the defense was denied access to most of the items in the subpoena. in this trial, are you trying to put judge creighton on trial? >> we don't have any comment on it. thank you very much. >> reporter: judge creighton is 53 sendi24. when he was 19 creighton was a public defender and represented him in a criminal case. the two became live-in lovers. last may 19th the judge reported to police that she'd returned home from work and found sending in a drunking rage. she says he beat her, dragged her to her car, demanding she be driven. she got away. he drove off in her car hitting another car head on treated for injuries in a hospital and fled to miami, florida, where he was later arrested. we asked a rockville lawyer with no connection to the case how far the defense can go attacking a victim's credibility. >> where someone may be lying, where there may be evidence of

other crime, and where the relationship of this judge and this defendant is at issue, those are fair game. >> reporter: and finally, this may be the most unique aspect of this kidnapping case. while the hearing was going on in court againstndant, in another courtroom his alleged victim judge audrey creighton, was on the bench presiding over another matter. at montgomery county circuit court, chris gordon news4. a driver ran over a walking in the street and didn't bother to stick around. that driver works for the dmv. but it's what she did in that department that is so controversial. it's a tough decision for a lot of women, planning for the future family. doreen gentzler explains why women are at odds over freezing their eggs. and it may help pass the time on a flight but those sky mall magazines may not be there the next time you reach for

the league released a statement. carol has more. >> statement leased was very long and concluded with few details but we'll break it down. the league says all 24 footballs provided by the patriots were inspected and approved before sunday night's game. 40 people have been interviewed this week but no word yet if one of them is pats' qb tom brady. and the league confirmed that the patriots are fully cooperating. plus the nfl wants its fans to know that the investigation is ongoing. "the playing rules are intended to protect the fairness and integrity of our games. we take seriously claims that those rules have been violated and will fully investigate this matter without compromise or " so while we still don't know the why howe and the why this happened we do know that there is no chance of a deflategate repeat for the super bowl. a report out today confirms that the officiating crew will have

well, you know thank goodness it's friday but the weather is nothing to celebrate. doug? >> yeah. we're watching that rain snow sleet mixture moving in. the temperatures are key here to the impact we'll see on the roads. one thing you notice right away everybody's in the 30s, but we don't have anybody below freezing. we're at 39 in d.c. so the road should be a-okay here. 39 frederick, 39 martinsburg, 36 manassas. we are seeing snow and sleet coming down fairly quickly. a lot of you posting pictures on my facebook page. i want to know exactly what's happening in your area because we are seeing some of that accumulating snow back towards front royal, in through portions of loudoun county, faulkier county. gaithersburg mixing with sleet, even around the d.c. metro area still seeing sleet. this is ice down here. anytime you see this color

leesburg maybe upper montgomery county, but once again not too worried about the roads. this should be on grassy surfaces for the most part unless we get heavier banding. 45 degrees on sunday with that next storm. monday's storm looks like it will be mostly snow talking accumulating snow. we could see closures as far as schools go on monday morning so keep it right here at nbc 4 and next week guys just on the cold side. thank you, doug. the measles outbreak spread to another state as officials warn about travel to the happiest place on earth. now cases in seven western states have been linked to the outbreak. it all began earlier this month when five employees came down with measles. california health officials are warning unvaccinated tourists about visiting the theme park. the outbreak of measles that started at disneyland has reached several other states again. the virus is highly contagious. kristin wright talked to a local doctor who says there is reason to pay close attention to this outbreak.

kristin? >> just this past spring we saw cases of measles in virginia and then potential exposure in virginia maryland and d.c. it is important to know that pregnant women and infants are high risk and that please l cases have spiked 644 in the u.s. last year and now 50 more. measles is a serious illness, one of the most continue tayious viruses known. pediatrician dr. daniel adams at inova fairfax hospital explains how easily it can spread to those not vaccinated. virginia saw cases last year. >> it can stay in the air for several hours so you don't have to have direct person to person contact with someone to be infected. >> reporter: the measles outbreak at disneyland is widening. cases have now been reported in six states out west and mexico more than 50 people diagnosed. measles has returned to the u.s. in recent years. the reason travel abroad and more people deciding not to vaccinate their children. in fairfax, this mother of

4-year-old twins has no doubts about immunizations. >> we have a lifestyle where we travel a lot, overseas and it's very important. and i would rather be safe than sorry. i know it's controversial but i believe in immunization. >> reporter: the mmr vaccine is two part. it's recommended for children at age 1 and again between 4 and 6. adults who haven't had the vaccine should also get it. 99% of people who have had two mmr shots are immune to the measles virus. >> these vaccines are safe and there are steep consequences to not immunizing their children. we wouldn't recommend them if they weren't important. >> r has a new mom years ago kyle had plenty of questions about vaccines. now she's confident. >> i've vaccinated both children and i think it's something you need to do to protect the pooerm around who aren't protected, for the baby, the pregnant mothers it's the res thing to do. >> we've posted ten facts you need to know about this highly

contagious disease on our nbc washington facebook page. go there during the break and share this essential information. wendy? >> all right. kristin wright. more and more women are now freezing their eggs hoping to extend their reproductive years. it can be expensive and it's also a difficult decision. tonight doreen gentzler is here with the story of a local woman who has decide to share what is usually a very personal process. doreen? >> reporter: hi wendy. tonight we neat a virginia woman who decided to make her personal experience with egg freezing public. she's blogging about her decision. she hopes it will help other women find their own answers. rachel is 34 years old. she'd never thought about freezing her eggs until her sister brought it up about four years ago. >> i had just gotten out of a long relationship and so she felt like by the time i get into one, like what it takes to really get to know someone, like you don't want to rush that. >> reporter: she says she brushed her sister off thinking

she had plenty of time to start a family but when four years had passed and mr. right still wasn't in the picture, she reconsidered. >> because it just felt so -- such a personal and intimate thing to say yes to and i felt that, you know whatever your religious views are there is -- for me there was an aspect of like was this right. >> reporter: as women age, so do their eggs making it more difficult to conceive as the years go by. but improvements in the egg freezing process allow women to save their young eggs so they can be used up until the woman turns 51. right now pregnancy success rates with this method range from 35% to 55%. >> there's just a little aspect of oh my gosh i feel like a failure because i'm now, you know in my 30s and i have to resort to egg freezing. >> reporter: last fall she went through the process which she says was easy.

injections for eight days to stimulate her ovaries then the removal process, which took about half an hour. when she was done 19 eggs were frozen in liquid nitrogen where they will remain until she's ready to use them. >> but i didn't know many friends that were doing it so i needed an outlet for myself to just sort of like get out my emotion and i just started writing. >> reporter: she documented the whole process and eventually put her writings online in the form of a blog which she hopes will help other women make a tough decision. >> i do feel like everyone's like reasons will be different and unique i did it really because i was really scared of regretting not doing it. >> reporter: the process of freezing eggs has gotten much better over the years but as we said the pregnancy rate using these eggs is still relatively low, between 35% and 55%. it's also expensive, about $7,000 just to retrieve eggs and then there's an annual fee
