for a suspect for a hit and run. a woman driving a toyota suv along columbia pike struck two pedestrians and kept on going. the woman reportedly turned into this driveway last night and scraped a car as she was trying to leave. one of the victims says she then ran him over and hispartner, too. >> she didn't want to stop. she ran over my leg first and then my part they are. basically pushed them down hit them with the car. second time she ran them over and pushed me away. >> the auto lot is at the back of a building that also houses a barber shop. it was filled with customers at the time. some used their phones to record the incident and showed the videos to detectives. there are new questions this morning about the future of montgomery county school superintendent josh came starua starr. several board members have lost confidence in his leadership. the board will meet today to start discussing the renewal of starr's contract. he needs five members of the eight member board it vote for

december when a plane crashed into a gaithersburg neighborhood. a review has been called for the airport's operations by the montgomery county revenue authority. 90% of the flights in and out of that airport are training flights. the december crash was not a training flight. >> it's a constant fear and a fear that has increased with the years. >> news 4 cameras with you allowed inside a private meeting last night between concerned neighbors and montgomery county's executive. the county is offering to review the flights coming in and out of the airport. at least three accidents since 2007 have involved training flights. they are also looking to change the times of operation for the airport. there is no word on when these chachks s changes will take place. today's meeting starts at 4:00. right now president obama is back home at the white house. he spent three days in india and the middle east. this is video from air force one landing just a few hours ago. president and first lady getting off the plane here.

the president now headed for a confrontation with congress. the republican majority work to orders and several proposals. the president's pick to be the nation's next attorney general will be on the hot seat today on capitol hill. confirmation hearings begin later this morning for loretta lynch. lynch has spent the past few days meeting with dozens of senators. she's expected to be confirmed, but the gops promising to grill her on issue range from civil rights to immigration. angie goff at the live desk. the fbi is investigating a new on online threat made against another airplane. this is the fourth day in a row that a threat has been made against a plane. the latest one coming on twitter saying that a bomb was on board a flight this is a flight from l.a. to chicago. now, after landing, we hear passengers were rescreened as well as their luggage, no flight plans were enter runted. no bomb was found. since the weekend someone on twitter has been making these threats toward various planes. the fbi saying all threats are

release. if they don't get her they will go goto along with another hostage they are holding, a pilot that they captured from jordan last month. eun, back to you. 4:46. new this morning, we're learning that indonesia's military will no longer continue the search for victims of the crashed airasia jet. however the search and rescue agency will continue this weekend for at least one more week. the chief of the search and rescue area says the rescue operation is still on. 92 bodies are still missing. the military pulled out after failed attempts to raise the many body of the plane. the plane's black box has been found. today a man accused of killing his ex-wife's new husband will be in court. police charged him with murder accused of breaking in to his ex-wife's home and killing her husband this month. denise and cory madison had been

mattered for just three months when this happened. the islamic state is taking responsibility for an attack at a luxury hotel in libya. ten people were killed at the corinthia hotel yesterday. isis took responsibility with a statement on twitter, but so far there is little evidence to back up the claims. david berry who worked for a fredericksburg security firm was killed in that attack. the company's coo confirmed his death. they issued this statement saying our company mourns this extraordinary loss with his family and friends. the u.s. japan and south korea are nearing a deal to share intelligence with each other about north korea. envoys from the three nations held talks in tokyo today. the goal is on to share and safe guard sensitive information on north korea's nuclear program. it's a tricky political issue, too. some south korean's voiced concerns about sharing intelligence with japan. today we're working to learn the name of the man who crashed a drone on the south lawn of the

white house. he says he was drinking at the time the drone led to heightened security at the white house earlier this week. the president is now calling for rules to make sure drones are flown safely. now to a story first on 4. a major break in a hit and run months after the crime happened. police arrested edna browne of herndon, virginia. browne hit a woman on the reston parkway near the spectrum center back in november. she was thrown several feet and the driver never stopped. police tracked browne down at his job. they seized his car and plan to use it as ev moving forward with a granting a handful of people permits to carry concealed firearms in public. eight people have been given the permits since the department started accepting applications back in october. that's according to the "washington post". police say they denied permits to 11 applicants. in all 66 people applied for permits. 34 of d.c. residents and 32 nonresidents. most of the cases are still pending. a d.c. public charter school

could shut down. the amos 5 campus in northwest held a meeting last night to discuss the potential closure. leaders say the school's charter school license may be revoked, that would leave 1600 kids without a place to go to class by the end of the school year. it's unclear when the final decision will be made. 4:49. money and homelessness are on the agenda for mayor bowser today. this afternoon the mayor will get an update on the district's financial situation. and then tonight, bowser will give the opening remarks at the point in time count. the count is a yearly census and survey of homeless people in the district. 00 new report says you're at a big disadvantage if you don't have a college degree in d.c.. according to the fiscal policy institute, right now the difference between low and high income wages is the biggest it's been since 1980. their report says only people with advanced college degrees are making more as the city recovers from the recession.

the "washington post" says d.c. mayor bowser plans to address the unequalityies in her budget. president obama will attend a farewell for chuck hague en. earlier this month hagel went on a farewell tour of his own visiting severalys being a bases across the country. hagel will be replaced by ashton carter. we just learned that fairfax county public schools are opening two hours late today, a two hour delay for fairfax county schools. we're also getting closer to super bowl 49. and while arizona prepares to throw a big party, the department of homeland security is doing its part to make sure everybody is safe. homeland security secretary jeh johnson will make stops in glendale and phoenix. he'll survey security operations at various venues including the university of phoenix stadium where the game will be played. and now that media day behind will us the fun really begins. people will start arriving in droves to take in the atmosphere
