again for the first time since tuesday's fiery crash. it will ride through the accident site. the harlem line is expected to reach grand central station sometime before 6:00 a.m.. commuters expect delays as it moves slowly through that work zone. now, there is new video of the suv involved in the crash being removed from the site. and there is the picture there. you see we've learned that a curator for the metropolitan museum of art, walter leidtke, is among the six killed. the museum called him brilliant and respected. that is the latest from the live desk as we follow this developing story. members of the d.c. council will hear from metro witnessed the smoke emergency earlier this month at the l'enfant plaza station. a public oversight round table will be held at the wilson building this afternoon. the council is looking in to how crews responded to the emergency. the meeting is at 2:00 p.m.. >> metro is also about to get a

fight against islamic militant groups. it's now 4:36. and there are new calls from capitol hill to provide weapons and aircraft equipment to jordan so it can help in the fight against isaiah. both republican and democrats are calling for the increased assistance after isis released a video showing a jordanian pilot being burned alive. the video has parked outrage in the middle east and throughout the world. jordan is calling on the world to join together and stamp out the islamic state. the u.s. has already pledged $1 billion in economic assistance to jordan this year. i'm molette green at the live desk. right now family members of the 31 killed in a plane crash that was caught on video now arriving in taiwan's capital. we want you to take a look at this new video showing the nose section of the plane being lifted off the bank of that shallow river. this happened less than 15 minutes ago. this is a live look at the crash scene here. 58 people were on the transasia

the response to the affordable care act, tracie potts joins us live from capitol hill to explain how this could leave a lot of folks in limbo. >> reporter: because now millions already have insurance under the current plan, what if they to repeal it and come up with something different, what happens to people who have already gotten that insurance. for years they said if you don't like the current law, come up

with something else. today we find out the details of that something else. there are a few republican groups working on this. the one coming out today we're told will pitch the idea of tax credits instead of subsidies for low income families. in other words, you buy the insurance and whe taxes, you get a credit for buying the insurance as opposed to the government giving you money up front to help pay for it. no individual mandate, you wouldn't be forced to buy insurance or face a tax penalty. no mandate for businesses to provide insurance if they have 50 or more employees and no specifics on what that insurance would have to cover. all of that likely to be in this plan. we're told there are a few things they want to keep. if you're 26 or younger, you can stay on your parents' insurance. and there would be no life time cap on what that insurance company would have to pay for your coverage. this is all coming from people who are familiar with the plan. nothing official yet. we will find out in just a few hours. >> thank you, tracie.

it is now 4:47. hugh this morning, a pilot is dead after his small plane struck a tv news tower in texas. the cause of that crash is unknown. the plane crashed in to the kcdb tower. the to you ser still standing but there were fear it is could fall on to the tv station. the channel is currently off the air. the nation's second largest health insurance company is investigating a massive data breach. hackers obtained information on as many as 80 million anthem former and current customers and employees. the insurance company says the information included names, birthdays, social security numbers, street addresses and e-mail addresses. no credit card information was accessed. anthem is providing customers with information on the breach. we'll be posting a link to that on nbcwashington.com. this morning we're hearing from a d.c. pizza delivery man who says he was attacked by an nfl linebacker. we brought you this story as breaking news yesterday.

kyle's native texas. a new option to make your commute easier may not get off the ground. larry hogan did not mention metro's purple line in his state of the state address. that omission has some lawmaker uneasy about the purple line's future. just two weeks ago, hogan said his budget would include funding for the project. the government says the purple line would cost more than $2 billion to build. president obama has already allocated millions in federal aid toward the new line. >> if the purple line is canceled the federal investment of $900 million which will be green lighted by the federal transit administration goes to another state. it doesn't come to maryland. >> lawmakers are looking for an absolute confirmation of support from the governor. the purple line would connect montgomery and prince george's county. the line would include 21 stops from bethesda to carol ton oig.

any problems. temperatures are getting colder. frederick done to 32. hagarstown martinsburg at 36. closer to washington, we're in the mid to upper 30s. near 40 by the chesapeake bay. and the winds will begin to increase drawing in the colder air and our windchills will be plummeting. windchills by 11:00 a.m. down to 20. mid teens by 5:00 p.m.. we'll be down to near ten degree windchills by 8:00 p.m. as these winds continue to whip on through. they will diminish a bit by the time we get into the evening hours by late evening. then between now and then the air temperatures they will be dropping down to below freezing. by around 3:00 4:00, we'll be down near 30 degrees. and then down into the 20s overnight tonight. and then the teens by dawn tomorrow with a clear sky and a lighter wind. love this gorgeous moon rise from a couple days ago when the full moon was rising over the potomac river. elaine posted this.

new services could be coming to your neighborhood post office. you may soon be able to ship food and drinks through the mail. right now the postal service is testing grocery and water deliveries in two cities. the service is looking for new ways to mail money. postmaster general says the agency can't survive its current financial situation if it doesn't find new revenue. the postal service had a $5 billion shortfall in the last fiscal year. starting today, you'll get to help frederick county come up with a new slogan. january gardner will kick off a contest at new. she wants to help you brainstorm a new motto. we should ask amelia segal. the motto will be used on the county website publications and road signs. we're working to get a link of the contest up to nbcwashington.com. i'll post it on my facebook page as well. new housing options may be coming to arlington and a neighborhood church may make it
