site where she'd apaerptly been held. strands of her hair were found there, but nothi worked to get her free. kayla mueller's family got the news over the weekend in an e-mail with a photo of her body. analysis confirmed kayla had died daughter," the family said. kayla muelr was only 24 when she went to syria to help the victims of that civil war. she was captured by isis. her family kept that secret from the public but president obama knew and got regular briefings. capitol hill. > now to a tragic story we first reported on our facebook page about another deadly house fire in anne arundel county. we've since learned that a mother and son were killed along with a neighbor who tried to rescue them. investigats believe the fire started in a bedroom of this home on hilltop road we maryland around 3:00 this morning. sundima sinnah her husband, and their 19-year-old son got out of the house, but she went back in to rescue her 17-year-old son who was trapped. then a neighbor ran inside to try to save them. all three were overcome by smoke and died. record breaking snowfall in massachuse it's taking its toll today. 68 inches of snow fell on boston over just the past two weeks. people are trying to shovel the mounds and mounds of it but there's just no place to put it. and some roofs are collapsing under all the weight now. a massive storm over the past four days shut down schools, forced flights to be canceled, down mass transit too.

firefighters and hazmat crews swar busy street in . diesel fuel spilled into a daycare center and homes. crews cleaned up the mess. no one was hurt. fist at 4, a close call for three people waiting in a glass enclosed bus stop in annandale this morning. a woman lost control of her vehicle along little river turn and ran into it. then crashed into that tree there. two of the people at the bus stop were take on the hospital with minor injuries. the third refused transport. the driver was also take on the hospital with minor injuries. investigats have not yet said what caused her to lose her control or if she'll be

we are getting our fist look at a pretty scary moment for a maryland state trooper. dashcam video shows his cruis g sideswiped last weekend near the new hampshire avenue on the beltway early saturday morning. police say the trooper just pulled over suspected drunk dr pat collins will talk with the trooper about that close call. some maryland students will get to sleep in a little later next year. >> the montgomery coun schood approved later start times today. middle and high school bell times will abo 20 minutes. elementary schools will start ten minutes later. the school board was considering several different options, and this one is supposed to cost virtually nothing. >> you kno it does have significant implications. other districts have changed, and other districts have long had later start times for high school students.

i'm wendy rieger at the live desk. our sister station in new york is reporting that a new york a deadly shooting that sparked protest in new york in november. nbc says officer peter lang has indicted bay grnl for the shooti death of a akai gurley. sources say he will be surren tomorrow. he's a rookie. he shot gurley while he was patrol dar stairwell in a public housing complex in brooklyn. police say lang was on the top floor of the stairwell and all the lights were out when gurley opened a door one flight below. lang fired and hit gurley in the chest. police say the shooting was accident lang has bee on desk duty since then. ba to you. some family members are disputg reports that bobbi brown will be taken off of life support tomorrow on the third anniv of the death of her mother whitney houston.

years. instead it gave us training photos of t motorized emergency recon vehicle which can get to trapped passengers in less than four minutes. and the universal rescue cart which d.c. says was designed with metro in mind because it can fit between rails and over electrical boxes. but the i-team found all of this equipment could reque leaving the wheelchair behind. >> the doorways on the eng of the trajs really aren't wide enough for a full-sized wheelchair to get out out of it. >> i'm terrified. i would not kn what to do. >> reporter: dara baldwin with the national disability rights network says she's particularly concerned a c-spine or quadriplegicer bau they can't be easily be separated from that chair which provides life support. >> you would have to leave that person that should .moved. >> reporter: metro says fire department should have special stair chairs to transport those
