prosecutors say pugh flew from egypt to turk any january. they not allow him to enter and was sent back to egypt where he was deported back to the u.s. according to court documents pugh was fired for his job in december working as an airport mechanic in kuwait. the armed services committee it looking into a proposal to use military force against isis right now. defense secretary ashton carter and chairman of the joint chiefs general martin dempsey are testifying right now. we'll monitor the hearing and update you on our nbc washington mobile

student last fall. the testimony came in a preliminary hearing for one of five defendants charged in connection with the death of 16-year-old brendan wilson. womensen was shot to death along a path that led to the high school. today detective testifies he confessed to shooting wilson saying his sister lured him to the path and he ambushed him shooting him at point-blank range. after hearing the testimony the judge ruled there is enough evidence to send the case to a grand jury. the next step in the process. only news 4 julie kerrey was at the hearing. tonight, reaction from the victim's mother about the painful new details. and fashion designers dolce and gabbana saying they respect how all people live. this followed backlash about their comments on children born through in vitro fertilization and gay couples raising children. dolce says, i believe in the traditional family. goes on to say it is impossible

resign saying confess about his spending has become a distraction. he was a rising star in the republican party. then the story about his downton abbey office exploded. why resign now? >> actually the bigger story has to do with the downton abbey situation but the fact politico reported he billed about 170,000 miles on his car to the federal government for some reimbursements when they car had only had 80,000 miles on it. the resignation came right after that and other stories about potential mismanagement of public funds. so that was the big reason by aaron schock ended up resigning more so than the redecoration in downton abbey style. >> a house at this investigation. what happens to that? >> here's the thing, once somebody ends up resigning, the ethics investigation goes away. that explains why he did what they. >> and darin la hood putting his hat in the ring. anyone else talking about a

i'm megan mcgrath in germantown following the latest developments in a deadly pedestrian accident and new information released this morning by maryland state police about the possible role that alcohol may have played in the situation. it was 1:30 this morning, a tractor trailer traveling south on 270 near father hurley boulevard. the driver says he saw a black car parked on the shoulder of the road. when he turned his attention back to the highway, that's when he saw a man walking in the third lane of traffic.

the driver says he was unable to avoid the pedestrian. the man was struck and killed. when police arrived on the scene, they did indeed found that xterra on the shoulder of the road, keys in the ignition still running and also say there was a strong smell of alcohol coming from inside the suv. now, the driver of the rig was checked out. he was found not to be impaired in any way, stayed on the scene and cooperated with police. the man who was killed his name has none been released. if there are any new developments we'll send out a push alert on our nbc 4 app. happening right now prince charles and camilla are touring d.c. ands surrounding area. they started the day at the lincoln memorial and then went to the mlk memorial. on their way to president george washington's home in mount vernon. rird richard jordan has more. this already has caused quite the crowds to come out this morning. >> reporter: absolutely.

supporting trump for the republican nomination. prime minister benjamin netanyahu claiming a huge victory in israeli elections. there was immediate reaction here in washington too. the victory will probably cause headaches for president obama. there have been tensions between the two. the white house insisted yesterday, however israel is a strong ally. republicans on the other hand roundly congratulated netanyahu. kentucky senator ted cruz and former florida governor jeb bush both praising his leadership. former senator rick santorum saying netanyahu overcame obama with the win. the key question here now what's next for netanyahu and the president? that remains to be seen. facebook is adding a new feature to its messenger app letting users transfer money to their friends. users can tap a dollar icon in a chat winter to transfer cash after linking a debit card to their account. the free feature rolled out over the next few months. that's your cnbc business

all right. good morning. i'm the storm center about to talk to chuck about the weather. first a look at poll results. this is what we talk and earlier. question are you already suffering from spring allergies? 83% say, yes. 17% say, no. it doesn't really feel like spring or allergy season today but we know it's coming. >> yes. a couple more hard freezes delay allergy season a little longer for all of us. >> we'll take the allergies. keep the freeze. >> i know. winter is not ready to relinquish its grip yet. a week ago, a pigcture of the tidal basin. frozen solid. yesterday, back to liquid form in the tidal basin but not done with winter yet. not our forecast. computer output what we may see for snowfall on friday morning.

maybe as much as one to three inches of snow. the slushy wet snow around here and more on grass than on road surface, but it is something to watch seven-day forecast is a chilly one. only near 50 today. 53 tomorrow. 34 in town and most of the suburbs well below freezing tomorrow morning and temperatures marginal for snow. why we're not too worried about the friday morning snow threat but coming at the morning rush. could be impactful for that reason. back to 60 saturday and another shot of cold air late in the weekend taking us on into next week. >> all right. >> we need to get past the snow. right to saturday. >> i'm off friday. i'm fine with it. join us for news 4 add 4:00 5:00 and 6:00 later this afternoon rchtd and wield be back tomorrow morning at 4:26 for news for today. until then have a great day. see you tomorrow.
