plate to cook because of the sab both restriction on lighting a flame. today lawyers for accused kill are robert durst are expected in court in louisiana. durst is charged in new orleans with felony gun and drug possession. investigators found a revolver and five ounces of marijuana in his hotel room when they arrested him. his lawyers will argue for his release so that he can face a murder charge though, in california. police arrested durst for the murder of his friend susan berman back in 2000. he denies the charge before the 71-year-old was the focus of an hbo documentary. later today lawyers for the boston marathon bomber are expected to cross-examine an fbi computer expert who testified dzhokhar tsarnaev had an al qaeda inspired magazine on his computer. prosecutors could rest their case later this week. the 21-year-old faces the death penalty for carrying out the deadly 2013 attack with his

and there are new signals from maryland's former governor martin o'malley that he will challenge hillary clinton for his party's nomination in iowa. it's a critical state to any democrat hoping to become a clear alter naf to clinton. o'malley spoke with income inequality and oversight of wall street. his decision in recent weeks to not run for the retiring barbara mikulski's senate seat is seen as another sign that he might run for president. governor mcauliffe will be in northern virginia this morning to mark the anniversary of the affordable care act. he'll be in arlington. don beyer will also be there along with sylvia burwell and lots of people affected by the law. maryland governor larry hogan's plan to increase the number of charter schools in the state could be in jeopardy. the "washington post" reports state senators are planning to strike down key provisions in the bill. hogan's plan would have given charter school leaders the power to hire and fire set admissions

this morning federal safety regulators are concerned a fix for two nissan recalls didn't correct the rob.problem. they had recalled nearly 990,000 cars and suvs with a problem with its air bag sensors. computer software may not have

detected an adult sitting in the passenger's seat. the ntsb says horn 1more than 100 people complained problems still happened following the repairs. nissan insists it fixed the issues. gas prices around the country are falling but not in our area. we just checked for you. according to aaa, prices are on average ten cents higher than a month ago. in d.c. it will cost you $2.53 a gallon. in maryland, $2.40. it will cost you on average $2.23 for a gallon of regular unleaded in virginia. and gas is $2.40 a gallon in west virginia. a new study is proving what many parents already think, that recess is pretty much essential. researchers at stanford university say the key, though, is quality recess. specially trained coaches were sent to krikssix elementary schools
