photojournalist, headed down to charlottesville now where police there are set to hold a press conference to announce their findings in the investigation of an alleged gang rape. you recall this came to light in a november 2014 article published by "rolling stone" magazine in which they detailed along alleged gang rape involving a fraternity on the grounds of uva. that harrell has been widely discredited. still police decided to continue with the investigation. we're hear the findings around 2:00. a troubling year for the university of virginia. students there dealing with a trio of national news stories starting wit disappearance and death of hannah graham and most leechbltly ly recentlied bloody arrest of a third year. look for updates on my twitter handle. we got the sunshine out there for now but it sure doesn't feel like a mild spring day. nonetheless, our weather headlines off to a chilly start for the day and for the week. we do have a chance of seeing a couple of snow flurries. not a snowstorm.

i'm molette green at the live desk. just in a new search under way for the lyon sister rees mains. this details, that are just coming in. authorities are going back to the virginia mountain where they have been searching the bedford county sheriff office says new leads prompted them to head to taylor's mountain near ected to take several days for them to look for the little girls' remains. these maryland sisters went missing in 1975. katherine was 10 years old, sheila 12 years old at the time. they walked into a mall in wheaton and have not been seen since and no one has been charged in this case. back to you, barbara. >> thanks molette. a bomb threat forced a northern virginia school to

close today. let's get right to the scene. news 4 megan mcgrath is live at the secondary school in fairfax county with a look what police are saying today. megan? >> reporter: barbara, the all-clear was given but not before the decision was made to close the school for the day. so students at lake braddock secondary school in burke were given an unexpected day off this morning. now, the search is on at this point for the person who made that fake bomb threat and if they are found, that individual could face charges. overnight, a bomb threat was e-mailed to a staff member here at the school. police were called right around 2:00 in the morning. bomb-sniffing dog was brought here to the school and a two-hour delay issued. however, this is a huge building and it did not appear according to police that the dogs could go through every room before the kids were due to show up for school. so the decision was made to close for the day, but then metro transit police were able to come to the scene with some

of their dogs. so in the end, they were able to actually go through the school faster than they had expected around 9:00 a.m. that's when the all-clear was given. nothing was found inside the school. so unfortunately, classes were had still been cancelled. the announcement was made so they're sticking to that. however, at this point we're told that things are getting back to normal in terms of after-school activities. if you had an activity scheduled this afternoon that will still be happening. anything that was scheduled for the evening, those events will be happening as the school reopens here later on in the day. back to you in the studio. aaron? >> megan, thank you. is your license plate free speech? the supreme court just wrapped up arguments on that very topic and stems from a case in texas. the sons of confederate veterans group asked to have the confederate battle flag on license plates. these plates are issued by the government. the request denied. now the group is suing. look what we're talking about here. you can see the confederate battle flag on the lefthand side

is in our area now. the visit is sparking new debate about the future of u.s. troops in afghanistan. richard jord han more on that from capitol hill. >> hi barbara. good morning. defense secretary ash carter welcomed afghanistan president to the pentagon. the first time the afghan president has visited the u.s. since elected back in september. and it was an appropriate place for the two men to meet since it was back on 9/11 of 2001 that a hijacked plane crashed into the pentagon killing everyone onboard and 125 people inside that building. a month later is when the u.s. invaded afghanistan. now the afghan president is expected to ask president obama to keep more u.s. troops in the region beyond the scheduled drawback date. there are about 7,000 u.s. troop there's now. he want to keep some of those in afghanistan until 2016. the president ghani saying that the isis threat is growing there, that militants are organizing. he did, however begin his remarks by thanking american
