police released this surveillance video just yesterday showing two possible suspects. during four of the robberies on sunday victims were robbed at knife point. there was another robbery that happened on monday. a report from charlottesville police shows the university of virginia met with them at least six months before an article about a gang rape was published in "rolling stone". the "washington post" reports an associate dean met with the student who says she was raped at a fraternity house. the "post" also reports the dean met with the student and along with charlottesville and campus police. the student's account what have she told police at the time was different from what was printed in the magazine. the article has since been discredited. today you can attend a debate to help you choose the next council member from d.c.'s ward eight. there is a special election to fill the seat held by marian barry. he tied last year. tom sherwood will moderate the debate tonight.

we're getting some rain and freezing rain. radar showing the area where we may begin to get freezing rain is the area in pink. and that includes northern shenandoah valley, into west virginia. there may be some light icing especially on elevated surfaces. winchester up toward western maryland. east of there, another little batch just east of the blue ridge of some light icing in northwestern fauquier county south of there, just getting light rain. all of this tracking in to cold air around the metro area. as a result we have a large area under a freezing rain advisory from st. mary's and charles county up into prince william and stafford as well as far fax fairfax, loudoun, rappahannock. this is in effect until noon. so higher ridges is where there could be up to a tenth of an

advisories this morning. >> that's right. we have temperatures that are subfreezing this morning in advance of rain that will be getting closer to the metro area by around #8:00 or 9:00. it's coming into temperatures that are into the 20s. so as a result we are getting some freezing rain this area in pink. that includes fauquier county northern shenandoah valley up into the highlands of west virginia. this is slowly creeping north and it will take a while to get right into the washington metro area. but as it gets closer we still could have a few temperatures around 8:00 or 9:00 that may be below freezing. so this new freezing rain advisory has been expanded to include the washington metro area and into maryland in effect until noon today. there may be some icing there. we are in the 20s nearby suburbs to near 30 but much of the region in the metro area should be a little bit above freezing. hitting the 50s in the afternoon with a lingering sprinkle possible.

killing. this afternoon, messerer shift erer erer erer messerschmitt's will be speaking at police headquarters. also we expect to learn more about a shooting at frederick high school in maryland that hurt two teens. frederick police just e-mailed us that they would hold a news conference at 10:00 this morning. that shooting happened in the middle of a game at the school's gym in february. we will send a push alert with any new information we learn. and new this morning, we've learned a police officer was part of a car accident in montgomery county overnight. we're working to find out exactly what caused the crash. it was on connecticut avenue at bel pre road. firefighters tell us two people were hurt but are expected to be okay. an update now to a developing story we've been following from san jose, california. the suspect who shot and killed a police officer overnight has been found dead inside his own apartment. this had led to a standoff that lasted for several hours after
