highway, branch avenue everything looking quite good. this is the construction outer loop between university and colesville we still have the two left lanes blocked here at the top of the beltway. that will be around until about 5:00 this morning. beltway at indian head highway, inner loop and outer loop everything rolling along quite nicely p. and then in rockville, 355 south at talbott street right in front of the talbot oig center two lanes only getting by because of road work. that should also be out of the way around 5:00. back at 4:41. new enrollment numbers are fueling what some call a racial divide in a fairfax county high school. zachary kiesch is live outside of thomas jefferson high school with more on what admission numbers reveal about the lack of diversity at that school. >> reporter: good morning. this isn't the first time that

the racial makeup of the students here at thomas jefferson has been a point of contention. as you mentioned, these new numbers just came out and they really reveal a dramatic shift. just about a decade ago, about 50% of the students here were white and now about six out of every ten students is asian and a lot of people in the community are saying specifically black and latino students and poor students aren't necessarily getting a fair shake. let's take a peek at the numbers. we're looking at the class of 2019 now. and this really reveals again the shift that is happening here. 342 students are asian, 102 will be white, 12 hispanic and only eight black students have been admitted. again, this is a very selective and elite school here. 2841 students applied and just 493 were accepted. now, back in 2012 a complaint was filed against the county on behalf of students representing the black and latino

county motel on monday. the pooibfbi says while the then were wearing women's clothing it was not an attempt at disguise. a music promoter was sentenced to life in prison plus 0 20 years, he was convicted of killing wesley king in front of his young daughter back in 2002. at one point detectives lost track of him after he assumed a new identity and created a successful career as a music producer. reynolds maintains he was in new york at the time of the shooting. arkansas governor is expected to talk about his newly passed religious freedom bill. it is similar to the law generating huge backlash in indiana. hutchinson says he plans to sign his state's bill into law this week. critics including the ceo of walmart say it effectively legalizes discrimination against gays ap ss and lesbians.

in indiana, mike peps oig says businesses are not allowed to deny anyone services. he's demanding his state's law be amended. and his reaction comes at the same time as a new ban on official travel there because of this law. d.c. workers are now forbidden from going to indiana on the job. mayor bowser's order means the district joins seattle, san francisco and three states with a similar ban. connecticut is one of those states and with the final four in indianapolis this weekend, the uconn head coach says he's boycotting the games. connecticut won the machine's men's title last year. new details from the university of virginia on its new interim policy designed to clearly define sexual assault. it urges victims to immediately contact law enforcement and spells out expectations for all employees and students when it comes to reporting sexual

we're learning new developments about the co-pilot who crashed a plane killing all 150 people on board in the french alps. lufthansa, the parent company, says it knew six years ago that andreas lubitz suffered from severe depression. the company says he wrote this e-mail in 2009 to the flight training school in order to resume training after dropping

i don't think that much force is necessary for a high school student. >> local parts are reability to go this video showing a teenage girl allegedly being body slammed by a school security officer. this happened monday at laurel high school. the student was reportedly being bee lidge belligerent and not following orders. you can see her getting picked up and it looks like being slammed to the ground and taken to the principal's office. parents we spoke to questioned whether this was excessive force. school officials say the incident is under investigation to ensure proper protocol was
