denied request because of lis brushes with the law. he died tuesday after he crashed a stolen car in roswell. he was involved in a high-speed chase after reportedly trying to break into an 81-year-old woman's home. stokes hit a 33-year-old pedestrian during the chase. she's currently in the hospital. in stable condition. a couple hours, university of maryland students will sound off about a controversial and now viral e-mail that was sent by a former student and contained references of rape and racial slurs. an investigation found that most of the e-mails content was protected by the first amendment. that's according to an e-mail from university of maryland president wallace lowe obtained by campus newspaper "the diamondback." the author of that e-mail release add statement saying in part "i want you to know that i will strive to never use such language again." right now bright sunshine temperatures begin to climb into the 50s. here's your afternoon planner as you head out and enjoy this wonderful spring weather, other than the pollen.

we're following a developing story out of prince george's county now. police are investigating why someone shot a man in seat pleasant happened at the discount mart at the end of martin luther king jr. derrick ward is on to bep of the story. >> reporter: there is new information. a sense of where we are. we are here in the 500 block of 62nd place just on the eat side of eastern avenue across from prince george's county line. police have been here some 12 hours after the beginning of an investigation into a murder. about 10:27 last night police responded to the 500 block of 62nd place for the report of gunfire. when they got here they found an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound. that man had been shot in the chest, pronounced dead on the scene. this has been a crime scene

since that time. prince george's county police along with the police from the city of seat pleasant are investigating this incident now. we don't have any identification on the victim, whether or not he lived in the area or had any connection at all. he believe this happened in an area just between the apartment complex and the discount mart there, with the front on eastern avenue. now, police are asking for anyone who might have information about what went on here to get in touch with prince george's county crime solvers, as prince george county is the lead investigative body into this incident. again a man shot in the chest here in the, in seat pleasant and police do want your help in solving this. live in seat pleasant derrick ward news 4. a developing story at this hour. negotiators in iran are zeroing in on an agreement. according to the associated press, the outlines of an understanding are merging, and that would open up the path to a final phase of nuclear negotiations with iran. the iranian foreign minister told reporters just hours ago he hopes to wrap up talks today.

accused of having an inappropriate relationship with that woman. her father is clearly upset about it. morrissey pleaded guilty last year to a misdemeanor related to his relationship with the woman. she was a teenager though at the time. he was sentenced to six months in jail as part of deal and spent nights in jail during the day remained in the virginia legislature. in court yesterday a judge dismissed charges against morrissey which accused him of forging documents related to his previous plea. the vatican embassy and secret service want to create a severe perimeter for the pope's visit to the district later this year. the embassy plans to add a six-foot fence around its embassy row campus on massachusetts avenue in northwest washington. it says the papal security perimeter will be attractive and compatible with the building. pope francis is scheduled to visit philadelphia new york and washington, d.c. during his five-day visit in late september. along with concerns for his safety are concerns for the pontiff's waistline. according to
