ones your bus stop forecast. what to wear today. melissa has an update on those crashes. >> another new crash here tom, this morning. this is not starting off to be the best friday ever. 95 northbound in maryland at powder mill road. the left lane here blocked because of that crash. hoping that gets out of the way soon. still have this problem, spencerville, 198 between batson road and peach orchard, all lanes are blocked because of an accident. and we have wires across the road. 70 eastbound at monument road now have the right lane blocked because of the tractor-trailer crash. we have partially reopened there. then still in myersville westbound at pleasant walk road westbound, still completely shut down. taking a wide look at things overall no major problems as you look at the beltway so of course that's good. and 66 95 into and out of town, nice and green and moving well. a man caught by secret service jumping the white house fence will be back in court

today as one of several cases that's raised the question just how safe is the white house? >> and now we're getting a first look at the changes coming to security there. news4's megan mcgrath joins us live now with details. good morning, megan. >> well, good morning. dominic adesanya will be in federal court after undergoing psychiatric treatment. treatment that was ordered by a judge. now, this cell phone video shows adesanya punching secret service dogs after jumping the white house fence last october. he made it 20 yards past the fence before he was taken down by canines. it was one of several fence jumping igs dents that -- incidents that focused on white house security and the fence itself. and now we are learning of changes that are on the way. in the coming weeks, pointy steel spikes will be bolted on top of the existing fence. there will be -- they will be sharp, so in theory it will make it difficult for people to jump that fence. and increasing security at the

eclipse, replacing the current fence with taller ten foot fence. they're considering building another fence inside the existing perimeter so there will be a double fence for people to try to scale. now, things that were ruled out, barbed wire on top of the existing fence as well as a moat. at the white house, megan mcgrath news4. >> thank you, megan. the manhunt is on this morning for the person who shot two teens in the district. this happened last night on alabama avenue in g street southeast. we don't know their ages but we do know it was a girl and a boy who were shot and they are expected to be okay. one neighbor said they heard between six and eight gunshots just after 8:00 p.m. another neighbor say they saw a car speed away from the scene after the shots were fired. >> maybe if i would have pulled up five minutes earlier i may have been one of those victims. me or my son. >> neighbors tell news4 the two

teens were best friends but police were not sure why they were targeted. right now an 11-year-old boy is missing from hyattsville and police need to find him. take a good look at his picture here. this is marquell maynard boyd. he was last seen wearing a blue gap sweatshirt with a white polo underneath and khaki pants. he was carrying an orange wolverine backpack. he suffers from russell-silver syndrome and he must eat 2,000 calories a day. a mother is looking for your help to find her son's stolen wheelchair. prince george's county police released this surveillance video yesterday. it shows someone walking away with the wheelchair at an apartment complex in langley park. the boy's mother says she leaves the wheelchair in the lobby of the building every night so she can carry her son to the second floor apartment. but when she went to get the chair monday morning, it was gone. anyone with information is asked to call police. three d.c. firefighters are

recovering after being exposed to chemicals. crews went to check on a fire alarm yesterday on new hampshire avenue. they found a fire suppression system somehow activated in the building and some of their crews were exposed. no one else was hurt. it is now 5:04. a bond hearing is set for today for a former fairfax police information officer who is the focus of a child pornography investigation. bud walker's first court appearance was yesterday via closed circuit tv. it was tweeted that he had no comment to the judge. walker was arrested this week on charges of possessing child pornography. today walker's attorney will ask for him to be released. the debate over security changes is heating up after a u.s. postal worker piloted his gyrocopter on to capitol grounds. some lawmakers are calling the stunt a major gap in security that could have been catastrophic if the pilot wanted to do harm. d.c. delegate eleanor holmes norton said security needs to be reviewed but she cautioned

against taking any extreme measures. >> for one thing i want to make sure of is we don't overreact. i think that this man without meaning to has provided us with a practice opportunity. >> now, norad did not know doug hughes was in restricted air space until he had already landed. they say he was able to do that by flying low enough to be undetected by radar. while lawmakers debate security, doug hughes is headed back to his home state of florida. hughes is facing several restrictions while he awaits trial. he is banned from returning to d.c. unless it's for a court appearance. he will be on home detention and has to wear an electronic monitoring device. hughes facing a maximum of four years in prison for operating an unregistered aircraft and flying into protected air space. meanwhile, the reporter who documented it for "tampa bay times" is defending the way his paper handled the story. >> twe did -- we did our due diligence in terms of getting to know him. we were comfortable with the

you're watching "news4 today." >> arlington first responders say a 26-year-old man is alive this morning thanks to the medical resident at george washington hospital. abdulaziz almehlisi just finished a shift at d.w. hospital thursday morning and was driving home on the key bridge. he was on the arlington side when he saw an suv flipped over and the driver lying in the street. the driver was unresponsive and gasping for air. >> all of a sudden like seconds later he lost his pulse. so i started doing cpr. arlington fire showed up and they started -- and they took over the resuscitation basically. they told me at that point that they had pulse. >> investigators tell us the 26-year-old was driving under the influence and speeding before the crash. he is in critical condition at george washington university hospital. still not clear what sparked a shooting near a toronto community center. four people were arrested in

connection with yesterday's shooting that sent five people to the hospital. one of the victims is in critical condition. while making the arrest, police shot one of the suspects. he is expected to make a full recovery. if you own a home in arlington county the board will not raise property taxes this year. but your overall taxes could still go up. assessment increases and the water sewer rate increase will raise property taxes by about $300 a year. the 2016 budget includes an added $6 million for public schools. overall, the budget cuts $2.6 million. d.c. needs more firefighters. we'll be there when mayor muriel bowser and gregory dean will announce the new recruitment plans today. that will happen at engine 29 on mcarthur boulevard on northwest at 10:00 a.m. it seems that recruitment is not just an issue in the district. in alexandria a ribbon cutting set for this weekend at a new fire station is on hold. you see the city has a brand new

fire station ready to go but no firefighters. this is on eisenhower avenue near the van dorn street metro station. with more retirements than the city expected it says recruitment will take money and time. neighbors of an ethanol transfer station say they're concerned. >> this beast behind us this train hauling ethanol and fuel that can go boom at any moment that's very scary for the residents here. we need that fire station. >> many of you have now signed a petition to ask whatever is needed to get the fire station up and running. they don't expect it to be in action until next year. that's a new link between osteoporosis and sudden deathness. the bone disease can increase the risk of unexplained hearing loss. that sudden deafness develops over a few days. most regain some hearing but 15% never do. a small european study suggests skin cancer drugs could

here at powder mill road, you can see it looks like we might have something on the shoulder, but that's it. just seeing northern volume. northbound and southbound as you're passing through there. no major problems as you take a big look at the beltway. 270 at father hurley some slickness on the roads special through montgomery county this morning. it was raining pretty hard this morning. spencerville between batson and peach orchard, we have all lanes blocked there because of some downed wires here this morning. taking a look at prince george's county, overall no problems, nice and green. 95 northbound getting a little slow through dale city because we're approaching 5:30. it is 5:24 right now. this weekend marks 20 years since the oklahoma city bombing. 168 people were killed and close to 700 others were hurt. the city and survivors have pushed forward in the last few

decades. the national memorial was built on the site of the alfred p. murrah federal building. the bombing remains the worst act on american soil. in texas tonight a vigil to remember the victims of the deadly plant explosion. it had the strength of a 2.1 magnitude earthquake and could be felt 50 miles away. 15 people were killed in the blast and more than 200 others were injured. more than 300 homes in the town of west texas were also destroyed. this may sound like the start of a bad joke but it's not. former ward one d.c. council member jim graham has found his new job and it's in the adult entertainment industry. yes. starting sunday jim will take center stage at the nude nightclub, the house, that's in northwest d.c. >> did you say center stage? >> that's -- yes. >> okay. >> graham will serve as the special events director two effective nights a week. sunday nights will be nude male

ex-boyfriend's son in landover in 2013. the boy says he used karate moves to push her off and then run for help. the boy's father believes she was angry over the breakup. she will be sentenced for attempted murder. today lawmakers in virginia will rework a bill that limits gifts that i can receive from lobbyists. they say the bill inadvertently imposed a $100 lifetime limit on gifts. governor terry mcauliffe asked lawmakers to change that detail. he skulled for $100 per year instead of per gift lifetime wise. the reform eflts stemmed from the corruption charges against bob mcdonnell and his wife maureen. this in to the live desk. pope francis is considering a stop in cuba while on his way to the u.s. a spokesman says discussions with cuba are at an early stage. so this is not a done deal yet. francis is coming to america in september and is credited with some early steps to help both

countries talk again. that's the latest from the live desk. i'm molette green, back to you. >> thanks. you may notice some extra police at the greenbelt metro police station, they'll be there for an emergency response drill on sunday. that drill will run from 8:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. they'll simulate the evacuation of passengers from a train. it will test the response and coordination of emergency workers. also be aware that the station is closed on saturday and saturday only. some drivers are launching a class action lawsuit against the operator of the 495 express lanes. it accuses transurban of slapping them with penalties for not paying tolls even if the toll isn't charged because of faulty equipment. a driver already named in the suit says transurban sued her for more than $9,000, over $20,000 in missed tolls she thought she had paid. they have not commented on the suit. 5:35. new concerns that growth at

reagan national airport is causing dulles to lose business. as you know a $1 billion expansion is in the works for reagan national. recent improvements have brought more domestic flights for reagan. the washington business journal reports that traffic at reagan will surpass dulles this year. this is a blow to the dulles area, virginia lawmakers say. >> we have to guard against making more and more exceptions to allow long haul flights to fly out of reagan. because if we do we weaken dulles and that is going to hurt the whole region. >> the expansion plans at reagan national include a new concourse. we're getting an idea of some of the changes that could be impacting you in prince william county. the board of supervisors wants to move ahead with a plan to reduce class sizes. according to inside nova the board also voted to fund 500 police body camera the straw vote is not official, but usually a good indicator of what will happen. the official vote is expected

a daring move by a brave good samaritan helped save a man's life. the 23-year-old was riding his suv through a yard and nearly went over this cliff on to the road below. a chain link fence helped stop that fall, but it wasn't going to hold the suv for long. that's when jason warknack jumped into action.

to the united states and he'll be in court. the 23-year-old man from columbus, ohio has been indicted on federal terrorism charges. prosecutors say he went to syria last year to train and fight with isis terrorists. he returned to the u.s. with plans to carry out attacks on american soldiers. federal agents say they had him under surveillance after jihadi postings on his facebook page. president obama will meet with the italian prime minister at the white house. it is believed the president and he will discuss a broad range of topics including support for ukraine. italy is a long time nato ally of the u.s. at. first lady michelle obama will meet with veterans. she and dr. jill biden are marking it with a visit at the vet center. it helps to provide mental health services and it is at no charge. inmates at a local prison say a program that lets them train homeless dogs is changing

their lives for the better. the inmates train these abandoned dogs at patuxent institute in maryland. it's started by the washington animal rescue league. two inmates work with each dog for ten weeks under supervision. we're not naming the inmates who spoke to news4, but they tell us the program has been therapeutic. >> it's helped me through a lot of stuff. he's helped me learn how to one, be able to be close to somebody or something and let them go and know it will be okay. >> and since that program started in september, the inmates have trained several dogs and more will be heading their way. handling dogs and pets really provides something, it triggers something inside people. they work wonders and really healing and -- >> they're awesome. >> they're so cute too. >> i have a dog. it's amazing. every time you come home, every single day, it's like the first time this dog has ever seen you. >> she's the only one who treats you that what i in your family. >> i have no respect, thank you, eun, i'm getting thrown under
