11:19 pm
prepared. >> reporter: now, the governor later backtracked a little bit and praised the mayor and city officials' efforts but this does go to some degree to answering the question so many people had today watching just the awful things that were going on in the city of baltimore, how did it go that far that quickly? back to you. >> jackie bensen thanks jackie. it was nearly 8:00 tonight before the mayor, stephanie rawlings-blake made her first public comment on that violence today. when she did, she was quite blunt. >> too many people have spent generations building up this city for it to be destroyed by thugs who, in a very senseless way, are trying to tear down what so have fought for. >> mayor rawlings-blake said she

11:22 pm
pressure spinning off the coast and it brings little waves of moisture and cold air pockets aloft and that helps the clouds to form and actually helps those showers to form as well. that's what we saw earlier. tonight, no showers. just cool. 46 in washington. 42 in gateithersburg and at least we were not talking 30s like a few days ago. tomorrow around 70 in some locations. 70 in manassas and 66 towards gaithersburg. on wednesday, a high near 70. a storm system on thursday and friday. that could cause shower activity but the coastal system which normally brings us a lot of rain should stay off towards the east i think, but of course it's something that we will continue to watch. i think the best part of the forecast just happens to be saturday sunday and monday. >> what a lucky break. thank you, doug. we'll be back with more on our breaking news from baltimore. schools there have been canceled tomorrow and a curfew goes into
