search. he's been identified as rene from waldorf. he is believed to have been in a white pick-up truck that was swept away in that high water. the truck ran into trouble yesterday morning in the 8,000 block. police found the truck late last night in the patuxent river. no one was inside. crews continued that search today and found the body. they are not looking for anyone else in that flood. for the first time joe morrissey confirms publicly that he is the father of a child born to a former underage staffer. the 57-year-old state senate candidate made the admission onmorning. he served time for having a sexual relationship with the baby's mother who was a minor at the time. morrissey plans a news conference tomorrow with 9-week old chase and mirna pride, the baby's mother. maryland senator barbara mick you willsky went to the white

house for a meeting about helping baltimore recover from the violence that racked the city after the death of freddy gray. she tweeted a photo as she arrived at the white house for a meeting. the small business administration estimates the violence last month cost about $9 million in damage to businesses in baltimore. roughly 350 businesses have requested aid. new information on the shooting of a teenager yesterday. a 17-year-old from manassas is under arrest accused of shooting another 17-year-old in fairfax county. this happened near fairfax county government center. police tell us the suspect and victim know each other. the victim is expected to survive. the son of the late marion barry staying out of jail after facing two separate charges today. christopher barry pleaded guilty to charges stepping from a violent outburst in a bank. the judge sentenced him to 12 months probation.

he went before a second judge today because the bank incident happened while he was on probation for other charges. the judge allowed him to stay on probation but ordered him back next month to show that he is in compliance with his probation. barry apologized today. >> the teller involved i want to apologize. i never meant for her to feel any type of thing. even though i felt as though i was wronged, i ultimately pled guilty because i did wrong way. >> christopher barry lost a bid to replace his father on the d.c. city council. he had planned to run again next year. today he said he is rethinking that idea. where to put alexandria's next metro station. that could take a big step forward tonight. city council is set to vote on the potomac yard site during a special meeting this evening. the site up for consideration is east of the shopping center. we do know it will be between braddock road and national airport on the yellow and blue lines. tonight's meeting is set for

7:00 at city hall. it is free and open to the public. the potomac yard station is expected to open on 2018. the ntsb just gave us an update on the investigation into the deadly derailment on amtrak train 188. investigators are still examining the cell phone of engineer brandon bostian to see if it was in use near the time of the accident. the process to verify phone's time stamps is lengthy and detailed. the engineer of a septa train that stopped after the wind shield was shattered by a foreign object said he did not notice anything unusual when the amtrak train passed another track. investigators are interviewing accident survivors now in hopes of learning more about any correlation between injuries and seating positions within the train cars. the largest recall in american history is causing anxiety for millions of americans. one in four cars includes potentially deadly takata

when should parents be worried? >> at this time of year it will be unusual to get that viral or bacterial pink eye. it will be allergy. the thing that people need to be worried about. something called vernal conjunctivitis. that happens in boys ages 4 to 20. the eye gets so swollen and you get almost a thick ropey material coming out of eiffelfof the eye. >> how do you know the difference between eye allergies and the nasal allergies? >> well really it will happen that people that have nasal allergy are at most risk for eye allergy. the message i want people to understand keep the nose clear. there is a connection between eyes and the nose. if you use your nasal sprays it will help that eye allergy because of the duct between two. >> i wear contacts. what about contact lens wearers? >> you need to be really careful. one is the pollen can get stuck behind it.

it can fly both like a helicopter and an airplane. two other marines are still in the hospital in stable condition. it is a troubling trend. the suicide rate is rising among african-american boys. it is our talk around town with troy johnson. so this study shows overall suicide rates among all children remained about the same over the past decade. why the rise among black children? >> that's the question of concern. we're talking about the most vulnerable of us. young children who are still forming, they're in that bridge between childhood and early adolescence and the number are really starting. we can show you the number. 87% in that 5 to 11 age range are boys concerning african-american boys. the rate climbed 3.47 deaths per million. we're talking about black boys between ages 5-11.

3.47 per million. the first time a higher suicide rate number for blacks than whites in any age group. so certainly the number are bearing out something really interesting, really interesting trend over the last 20 years and people are very concerned about it. >> so young that they would even have the could not september in their mind between 5 and 11. >> there are some things that are alarming. the people doing this kind of research. they're talking about traumatic stress among young people early onset of puberty, a lower likelihood to seek help for depression or suicidal thoughts. and they're also targeting aggressive school discipline as a potential reason. researchers again unclear if these are specific triggers specifically for black boys. and there are areas of concern for parents as well. and it really raises the question and concern about the stigma in the black community around mental health care. a lot of people concerned about not, whether or not they want to be able to go down that route

live at the desk. we've learned the man who landed his gyrocopter on the capitol lawn has been indicted on six charges. doug hughes handled on the west lawn of the capitol in april. he said he was protesting campaign finls laws. now hughes faces two felony charges and four misdemeanors for that stunt. if convicted on all six, he could face more than nine years in prison. he's been under house arrest at his home. doctors call it resting angry face. but you may know it by another name. >> it describes someone whose natural facial expression makes them look plain unhappy. even when they're not. doctors are finding plastic surgery can give them more

followed by our first heat wave of the year. here we go. starting with this evening. we will be seeing some clouds move into the area. the clouds will be moving in late where it is 72 degrees now. not a bad sky. certainly it has been gorgeous today. the dew point temperature, very low. that is an indication of how much moisture is in the air. and that number today, it starts creeping upward tomorrow. we'll see the rage moving in from west to east. the temperatures won't budge very much. 58 with wet pavement around the area for the morning rush. so deciding on what to wear. should you wear the short pants? i would go with the long pants and the raincoat. if not a jacket for tomorrow. it will be so cool along with that might even want the rain boots. we could see some big puddles on areas, area sidewalks. most of our rainfall between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

our rain chances going way up through the afternoon. and then we'll start sliding back down with just some lingering showers for the tail end of the evening rush. here it is with the road impacts. a few lingering showers. looking at moderate conditions but there could be some puddles on area roads. a chilly one tomorrow. keep that in mind if you are going out to do that run. the best time period i think would be early on around seven clog a.m. or very late in the day around 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at least it won't be raining as hard. it will be chilly nasty and wet. meanwhile the temperature 60 degrees. that's close to what the water temperature is currently for the weekend. saturday, sunday monday. the temperature from the mid 60s at the beach. ocean city to the mid 70s looking good. and then nice and warm by monday. and of course we've been telling you about this height wave looking more and more likely for next week.

to miss. the c-130 affectionately named fat albert is a transport plane with its own tricks and no doubt a big part of the show. >> don't get me wrong. the faa 18 is an awesome aircraft and i give my guys the utmost respect. i'm so in love with my airplane i'll fly it every day of my career if they'll let me. it is my baby. >> reporter: the blue angels spend their time going city to city performing shows all across the nation. for captain higgins, the stop here in annapolis is special. it is more than an honor. it is homecoming. >> my heart is here. >> reporter: it was here in a class that then midshipman got her chance at taking controls. >> i knew there was no other profession for me. being a pilot was what i was made to do. >> reporter: it is something women have been doing in the military for more than 20 years. but not for the blue angels until now. >> i get chills. >> reporter: the fellow naval
