sunday afternoon were startled when a gunman pulled up in a car near the basketball court and opened fire. >> i couldn't believe it. i just could not believe it. sitting there in the park with our backs turned. and people shooting behind us. >> this group of friend plays horse shoes here in the front of the basketball courts every sunday. one of their friend was grazed by a bullet. he was apparently between the gunman and the intended target. >> what did you think when you are seeing all of this? awe at the wrong place on the wrong day. >> reporter: four victims hilt in the drive-by shooting. one person died. one person is in critical condition. two others are not seriously hurt. an suv and portable toilets were also hit by bullets. people who were at the springdale park for family gatherings and crab feasts had to wait in the rec center. >> older guys playing horse shoes. younger guys playing basketball. kids enjoying themselves. everybody enjoying themselves. this makes no sense. two shooting victim were driven

an american held prisoner in egypt nearly two years returns home. this video of her provided to us by council on american islamic relation shows mohamed sultan's homecoming last night at dulles international airport. sultan jailed for alleged involvement with the outlawed muslim brotherhood. his father was also arrested.
